On the banks of the Mekong River Baima B&B Reviews

Spent two nights here to explore the night markets. It's very close and doesn't take long to walk. They can even provide an umbrella for those rainy summer days. The bath on the balcony is pretty big and even though has an open space, you can still pull the curtain for some privacy. It's a good place to stay for a few nights in banna.

Perfect location and friendly staff. The room was huge and had a wonderful balcony with chairs and bath tub looking over the river. The view was great. Room also included a fridge and stove top if you stay longer. Location was perfect for exploring the town and night market. Just a few minutes walk to the night market entrance and tons of other shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly, always greeting you when you arrive and also offered airport pickup, answered questions about activities to do, and helped me arrange a car to go to the botanical gardens. If you are very sensitive to noise you can hear the night market, but the door blocked enough sound and I had no trouble sleeping. Very happy with the stay and felt so relaxed.

The room was very clean, everything worked and the view from the balcony and windows were incredible. The bathtub on the balcony was nice. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The view was what I was paying for though and it was definitely worth it.

Our stay at the Xishuangbanna Maiba hotel was really pleasant and really helped to make our time in the city memorable. The view from the windows and balcony were excellent both during the day and at night. The room was spacious, comfortable and provided benefits such as a washing machine, kitchen, two bathrooms, dining table and two TVs with an account set up to watch a wide variety of content. Apart from all of this, something that really stood out for us staying here was the helpfulness, generosity and professionalism of the staff. Well worth the cost of staying here.

This place was a real delight! The hotel occupies the whole of 9th floor of one of the taller buildings in Gaozhuang. When stepping out of the elevator you are in a large space which is the reception area where there always seems to be at least one, if not more, friendly and helpful members of staff to check you in / out or to provide you with advice on where nearby to go for lunch etc. The rooms are all self contained apartments. We had a double bedroom, a well appointed living room and kitchen, two full bathrooms, a washing machine with laundry detergent provided gratis and a balcony with a wonderful view of the night market. Ohh and the balcony has a bathtub on it in case you want to have a soak outside….Not a word of English was spoken here, but they were extremely excited to have a foreign guest, so if you can’t speak Chinese I’m sure you will get a very warm welcome from the staff who will go out of their way to make you feel at ease.

The BaiMa (White Horse) Hotel is on the 9th floor of a beautifully designed building. It has a tea drinking area at the elevators. The whole hotel, including in the rooms, has pictures of what I think is an expedition race the owner took part in -- but it's not overdone. The location is perfect, right on the center west of the new north-side of downtown JingHong (main tourist area). Right beside the night market. Delicious food found at the restaurants nearby. Corner store (with decent wine) downstairs. Motorcycle and scooter rental down the street in front of the hotel. The best views of the Mekong! The room was big, spacious, and postmodern (contemporary) in decor -- very comfortable and still having personality, not just a "white room" as so many hotels are styling themselves as, these days. There is even a small fridge and a full-sized washing machine! The bathtub on the balcony was very romantic. The cost was worth it, compared to more expensive rooms in other hotels. The staff was beyond helpful, first by allowing me to choose which room I would have, and second, by helping me order flowers and food to my room. They even brought us free chopped fruit. They had cleaned my room during the day when I went out, even changing the bedsheets when they noticed the sheets were dirty.... +++ The only negatives I can think of is that the AC does not make the room cold enough for a spoiled Westerner like me (but most people won't have a problem with that), and the tub on the balcony is still missing it's fixtures. Oh, and the pictures of the racers above the bed was a bit strange. Of course, I wish it was cheaper, but actually the price is probably fair considering the cost of other hotels and how well done this hotel is. Overall, a beautiful and excellent hotel, and I highly recommend it.

Stayed here for a few days. The service is good and the environment is good. It is definitely the first choice in Banna. The quality of the things used is very good. The room space and layout are also very large and reasonable. You must experience it when you come to Banna

The room decoration design is advanced, the balcony can clearly see the Shwedagon Pagoda, it is no more than 200 meters away from the Mekong River, the night view is super beautiful, the kitchen can cook by yourself, the overall value for money; the boss and his wife are very enthusiastic! We came during the National Day holiday. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite for free. The room is super large and you can see the whole scenery of Gaozhuang. It has a unique style and is also very quiet. The oversized floor-to-ceiling windows really have a sense of atmosphere. Unfortunately, it was blocked due to the epidemic I was isolated inside, but I also met a lot of new friends. The boss and his wife are also super nice. They guarantee our daily necessities every day, and share with us the delicious and delicious food. In the evening, everyone sits in the lobby and plays poker together♠️ The time is very happy, adding a lot of joy to the boring and silent life, (ps: don’t stare at the proprietress! hhhh) Although this trip did not appreciate all the beautiful scenery and food in Xishuangbanna, it is indeed in this place It is also a special journey to meet friends from all corners of the country. The next day I asked to see the bathtub room I booked, and the boss told me that the guest couldn't see it without checking out! ! ! Excuse me: I have reserved a bathtub room, but your last guest does not check out. You let her stay in and change the room for me without permission? Did you inform me? Do I agree? Question: Do I have no priority to live in the room I booked? ? ? The next day I found out that the bathtub room went up; maybe it was cheaper if I booked it early, and the boss privately changed me into a so-called big bed room.... Somewhat angry! But I still don't want to worry about going out. Interlude; I couldn't find the earrings on the day I checked out, but the boss patiently showed me the surveillance camera. Finally, I went back to the room and looked for it again, and found that it fell from the table to the back of the table, and a wire was nailed to the wall. It's a pity child! did not stay in the balcony bath room . Do business with integrity! Fortunately, I booked a regular hotel with a swimming pool in the next week to make up for the children. The boss is super nice! The sanitation of the hotel is also super good, and the decoration is particularly distinctive. The most important thing is that the mattress is very comfortable. Since I came to Banna, I have been changing hotels, and many of the reviews were written. I decided to change the hotel at 5:00 in the morning when I slept in another hotel. The construction site downstairs smashed the steel bars in the early morning. Those with poor quality do not want to stay for 1 minute. Later, when I came to this hotel, I found out that there is no harm if there is no comparison. The room is clean and well-equipped. Good people! Yunnan trip only this hotel left a good impression on me!
