We stayed in the motel part with the car parking right outside - the room looks over the fuel station and restaurant, but beyond that there’s a lovely view of the lake. The little patio area is nice enough to sit outside and watch the sky as it was perfectly clear when we stayed. It was a very clean room and bathroom with plenty of space, seating and a good sized desk so I can’t complain. Perfect for our night’s stay while travelling through Sweden and right by the beautiful lake. While the fuel station is nearby, and I did worry the trucks might be loud, we couldn’t hear anything with the door closed and it didn’t disturb sleep at all. I did like their vintage (60s?) photos of how the motel originally looked - little has changed with the outer building. The service desk was very quick and helpful, it has an extensive gift and supply shop (also selling the local speciality sweet ‘polkagris’ which I highly recommend). Also there are plenty of Tesla electric chargers at the station which was super convenient for us. If you’re traveling from the UK or elsewhere get a subscription which gets discount charging for other compatible EVs too. Buffet breakfast was simple as we’re both vegetarian and Sweden is traditionally a meat and cheese type of breakfast, but there were still plenty of options for us to have including toast, cheese, 3 types of eggs, yoghurt, vegetables and so on.
