For self-driving travel, the location of this hotel is very good and it is very convenient to go to any Kagoshima attractions. The Shiroyama Hotel in Kagoshima is an old five-star hotel founded in 1963. The current Emperor and Empress of Japan have stayed here. It may not be an exaggeration to say that this hotel is the best hotel in Kagoshima. The address of this hotel is located on the top of Shiroyama, the site of the Southwest War. A 5-minute walk from the hotel entrance is the Shiroyama Observation Deck where you can overlook Sakurajima. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Kagoshima JR Station, which runs every half hour. All hotel staff are friendly and well-trained. The facilities inside the hotel are very complete and there are many restaurants, including Japanese restaurants and Western restaurants. I personally recommend the semi-buffet lunch at The Lounge Casablanca on the 4th floor. There are a variety of appetizers and soups to choose from. For the final dessert, the waiter will push a cart to you and ask you what you want. The hotel has its own bakery and dessert shop, and its desserts also have a counter in Kagoshima JR Station. The hotel's large bathhouse has an open-air hot spring. Sitting in the hot spring, you can overlook Sakurajima in the distance. The most important thing is that this hotel is not expensive! If I go to Kagoshima next time, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

Hotels in Japan are relatively luxurious and have ample space. If you go to the hot springs in the morning, you can even see the unparalleled sea view of Sakurajima. It is well worth the price. The space in the room is also very sufficient, and the facilities and supplies are complete. However, the only thing I can be picky about is The location of the hotel is very inconvenient. If you miss the bus to the city, it will be very inconvenient to travel between the hotel and the city.

Highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Kagoshima for a short time! The location being inside the JR Station is very convenient, and the hotel was clean. Had a lot of free amenities, like some epsom salt bath! The room itself is a typical small room like you see everywhere in Japan. Would definitely recommend if you visit Kagoshima!

2023年4月10日利用。 場所は鹿児島の繁華街でもある電停(路面電車)天文館の駅前で、バスの停車前にもありランドマーク的な存在だとも言えるかと思います。 確かに1階にはショッピングモールがあったり、最近のホテルという感じで、改装か新築された印象で館内は綺麗でした。 構造は7階がフロントで、8階から14階が客室。15階がレストランで朝飯もこちらになり、天気の良い日は桜島も見え、鹿児島らしい地元の料理が出た点では文句無いかと思います。 しかし減点となったのは以下の点 ●ホテルの車止めが無いところ 駐車場が少し離れたところにあるため荷物がある場合、どうしても車止めは必要かと思います。もう構造上仕方ないのですが、車で来た場合重い荷物を運ぶのにはやや辛いかなという印象を受けました。 ●提携駐車場がやや遠い チェックアウトの時晴れてる(雨天ではない場合)なら特段問題ないのですけど、雨が降っていたらややキツいかなと言う印象を受けました。 ●朝のレストラン 内容は問題ないのですが名物「鶏飯」(けいはん)目当てに来ている宿泊者が多いと思います。 しかし、補充が足りないというか出汁と米だけ残っており、具材補充の頻度が遅いかなという印象。 食材を大切にする気持ちは理解しますけど少し疑問が ●廊下の音響問題 たまたまなんですけど夜23時頃の話。 フロント階にタバコを吸いに行った時、廊下を歩いていると他の室内からですが中の音が聞こえて来たのには少し閉口してしまいました。 場所柄もあるのか解りませんが所謂オトナのお遊びの音なんですけど、防音はもう少し何とかして欲しいかなと感じました。 色々書きましたが、基本室内もレストランも綺麗ですし鹿児島では悪くないレベルのホテルかと思います。 確かに鹿児島では城山とかサンロイヤルが有名ですけど、便利性、値段を勘案するとこの先良いホテルになるのではないかと期待しております

There has air conditioner which was cool enough , good! only the drawback is some far away to take 20 minutes to JR station but very near the walking street. Bath room a bit of narrow. Appreciated even though medium size hotel but it has car packing lot itself ( located on the hotel's back street with staff to assist you ), so great indeed !

This time, I used this hotel for the first time. The front desk is neither good nor bad ... But I thought I should study the treatment a little more. Amenities are not in the room, and the front desk is a type that only needs makeup remover, pigment washing, lotion, emulsion. It was a pity that the bathtub had hair, but I think it is a good location.

The hotel is in the most convenient planetarium block for eating, drinking and playing. The room is not big but it is clean. There are buses nearby to and from the airport. It takes only ten minutes to go to the beach to see Sakurajima Volcano. It is not far from AEON. There is a streetcar downstairs.

I stayed 2 nights at thesunflex. The location is excellent with decent sized rooms and our deal included breakfast You can choose from 3 types. You will have to pay for parking i believe tobe 900 yen.not far from the hotel is an excellent bakery called sumomo whichhas tasty products which are 110 to 160 yen so fantastic prices. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Easy walk to the sakurajima ferry and many bars and restaurants within walking distance.
