I took my son back to the countryside to play in Liuyi. I specially picked a B&B that was renovated from a century-old watchtower to experience it. Everyone was very satisfied with the result. The homestay transformed from a Diaolou is very unique and has been successfully transformed. The room is quite comfortable and there is outdoor space for activities. The handsome guy at the front desk turned on the air conditioner and lit the mosquito coils in advance. The breakfast was also good. I was quite satisfied.

The rooms are clean, well-equipped, the service is thoughtful, and the scenery is superb. The hotel is a combination of an ancestral hall and a watchtower. A professional team of ancient building restoration and reuse designers was hired for the restoration work. The only thing that is quiet at night is the croaking of frogs. I booked two rooms and arrived at more than 11 o'clock in the morning. They said that they had not finished cleaning yet and gave me one room first. I said that we could stay here after going out for lunch. They said yes. As a result, I asked at 13:30 that the cleaning was not completed yet. They had to check in at 2 o'clock because the staff had to eat (of course, the agreed check-in at 2 o'clock is understandable); 2. At night, there was a big dog that I didn't know was still a guest in the store. It walked around in the public area. A child was holding the dog but couldn't hold it and was taken around. It was very dangerous (the B&B should have the obligation to ensure the safety of the public area); 3. It is very good to set up a table on the lawn to eat, but after eating, they didn't clean up and asked the aunt to clean up and they needed to pay 100 yuan. I think it doesn't match the positioning of a B&B at this price (you can say that the guests clean up by themselves, but you can't say that the aunt needs to pay 100 yuan to clean up); 4. I was speechless to keep chasing good reviews after coming back, and I didn't even figure out the gender of the guest. In short, the B&B environment is very good, but I hope the service can be improved (I booked this one after staying at this Zhuhai branch and it was good).

It is recommended to choose a room behind the lobby as it may be quieter in the morning.

If you are bringing the elderly and children, it is recommended to spend more than 300 to stay at the Meitang Hotel in Chikan Ancient Town. It is directly inside one of the scenic spots. It has a lot to see and is much more upscale. But this hotel has its own characteristics. It was renovated from a former school. Children love the garden. The service is good and it is suitable for self-driving guests.
