A pleasant hotel situated at 4 1/2 Mile in Sandakan, conveniently located near the popular Kim Fung Food Court, known for its wide variety of food choices, especially the BBQ chicken. In addition to the food court, there are several other restaurants and cafes in the area, offering diverse dining options. A local supermarket and convenience stores are also nearby, making it easy to pick up essential items. The hotel staff is friendly, and the check-in and check-out process is efficient. While the breakfast is modest with limited options, it’s sufficient to start the day. I would definitely choose to stay here again when visiting Sandakan.

1. Pool poor maintenance u can see the colour of water 2. Room clean n good 2.Very disappointed with the breakfast experience at this hotel. The menu offered was limited and lacked variety, wait time for replenishing empty dishes.

Was told this is the best in Sandakan but they didn't say by what rating standards. I would say by Sandakan's standard but not international standards. My biggest complaint is the poor sound insulation between rooms. It was unfortunate to be next to a room where their TV can be heard through the walls late into the night and the guests next room were also early risers. Second complaint is the latex pillows in the room. Don't even bother to request for down or foam pillows. They do not exist in this hotel. Perhaps this is the Sandakan's standard I mentioned previously. Also expect to be supplied with paper thin slippers.

Cleanliness need to be improve. Breakfast not so many choice. Strategic location. Overall still a very good hotel in sandakan.

Room - 9/10 (clean & comfortable but don’t have refrigerator) Staff - 5/10 (not friendly) Breakfast - 9/10 (chocolate muffin so yummy) Environment - 10/10 (near town & lots of shops) Repeat? Yes i will repeat again! For me it’s the best hotel in sandakan!

Need to deposit rm100 upon check in. And the hotel will deduct your deposit if ure late to check out, rm25 per hour, without notice. No call to inform, they just deduct it from deposit and ull know it when u check out, which was bad.... Staff not friendly, not much of a help when asked about missing item at their lobby. Staff at pools will scold u if u are wet walking at the lobby hahaa... Ample parking spots. Breakfast was so so..

Worth the price. The room was really comfy. Didn't had a chance to get the breakfast provided because I was too busy with my interview. Definitely will stay there when I go to Sandakan again.

1. Lack of comfortable seats at lobby. Used to have sofas, which replaced with wooden chairs now and it's limited. If the policies dont allow customer to check in earlier then please provide more seats for customers to wait. Because alot of customer waiting for check in, we have to sit at dining area to wait for check in and it's hot inside. 2. Lobby are surrounded by glasses, expected it would be hotter. The current Air cond system at lobby can't provide a comfortable environment. It's quite warm inside. 3. Some Ushers at lobby appears less friendly. 4. Room cleanliness are acceptable. 5. Wifi from room not stable. Need to reconnect few times during movie time 6. Shower gels are limited. 7. Breakfast: -rice noodles are acceptable. -dishes are bit salty. -suggest to provide more varieties ie: croissant, nasi lemak, potatos. 8. Our room coridor door can't be locked.

This is the first visit in Livingston Hotel as a buisness traveller, although i felt the price was bit on a higher side considering its far off location from the airport and rest of the convenient areas, i would say its fine for a 1-night stay. More than a night i would probably won't stay if the rates to be over RM250++ for a standard unit.
