The price is expensive. For such a big hotel, I asked the front desk to borrow an Apple mobile phone charging cable and said no. The front desk will keep urging me to check out at 2 pm. The hotel's breakfast is also very average. The overall environmental service is comparable to that of Kenya next door. It's a big difference, not as expected, price and service are not equal

Background: Two 90-year-old girls travel to Uganda. Arrived at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. The male boss of the same flight was late, and one day later, the two of us went to Uganda first. 1, the address is particularly difficult to find. I found an hour and ran around on the mountain road. 2, after we check in, the friends who sent us will leave. When we checked in, we lived in a connecting room. I don't know if anyone is next door. At about nine o'clock, we packed up and took a shower and sat down. We placed two 25 kg suitcases and two 11 kg suitcases at the door. Plugged in the safety chain. At this time, the country has had a good time in the early morning. Then we fell asleep. . 3, Uganda at 1:15 am, I was awakened by the sound of people hitting the door. Too tired and too sleepy, flying for a dozen hours from China to Uganda. When I woke up, I thought I was dreaming. Because I opened my eyes and didn't hear people hit the door again. When I close my eyes, I am going to fall asleep. But the feeling of the slamming door is especially true. I can't sleep. Strong support. Listen carefully to the outside. After less than three minutes, I started to hit again. I was so scared that I got up and dressed. Call my colleague. The two girls did not dare to say anything. Listening to the door outside our door, I dare not speak and make a sound. After a while, I went to the door and looked at it. I found that the door lock was opened. The suitcase that I pressed a few pounds was pushed away, and only the safety chain was hung on it. The safety chain is stuck and cannot be pushed. We didn't dare to talk. I don't know if it was time for two girls to be seen during the day. I am afraid that others will know that there is someone in the room, the door will crash and the safety chain will be knocked open. Scared us to call our friends right away. The friend immediately rushed over. I slept in our room at night. My friend's English is not very good. There are not many people who deal with the hotel, so when people come in, they come in the room. We don't dare to let him go out again. I slept in the room at night. We went to the front desk the next morning. In the daytime, I am not afraid of anything. The front desk actually told us that it was a rounds. Check the room at one o'clock in the morning. I saw something inside blocking the door and hitting the door. Fortunately, the safety chain is worn. In a foreign land, I don't want to talk to the hotel. Don't want to cause trouble. Say, don't go to the round again, and then go back to the house silently. Having said that, reminding everyone to go out, the safety chain must be set. You must pay great attention to your expensive star hotel. This place in Uganda is really not suitable for girls. I will never go again in the future. Girls are not safe. The economy is really too backward.

It was a great experience to be accommodated in the Golden Tulip Canaan Kampala Hotel. The team is superfriendly, the breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very clean. The pool is also very refreshing. 💯 I would advice everyone to come here. Merry christmas

This is simply an amazing hotel. I satyed here for 2 nights and was very pleased that i chose this hotel. I arranged a transfer from the airport which was easy to arrange, checkin was effortless. The hotel is fairly spread out around a beautiful garden. The room was stunning - large comfortable, plenty of water! Breakfast was amazing - buffet with everything you would need and more - really excellent. I also had dinner here and you can probably guess it was delicious. Must also mention there is a little mall within the complex with some nice shops.

There were many other hotels we could have chosen to stay in Kampala but having had such a great experience 4 months ago, we decided to return to the Protea Hotel by Marriott in Kampala. Joan and Charlotte were very good at checking us in quickly. Thank you so much as we were very tired having travelled nearly 20 hours by plane! Maurice, Noah and Rehema were excellent with their customer service by ensuring my mother and I had everything needed for a nice evening. Our room did not have a mini fridge so Maurice suggested he will go and check for a spare one. Maurice brought us one, given the fact that the hotel was almost full. Noah, thank you for all your help in making the tasks I needed completing easier and quick. Maurice, Noah and Rehema thank you for your great hospitality. You were all so kind. Jasper, Sampson and Issac looked after us when we were having diner in our room and made sure we had what we needed by being so quick with their service. They had to run to the kitchen back and forth and were very efficient although they were all very busy that night. In the morning, the breakfast buffet was great with a big variety of food choices. The chef on the night duty made some Poha upon our request, thank you for doing that for us. The Poha was delicious and so were the Indian pakoras. Chef Godfrey made beautiful omelettes as we wanted and went beyond his time to fulfil my mother's need with the chillies. Derrick made us teas the way we liked and the teas were perfect. Cissy and Aisha thank you for your kindness and service. Sharon it was lovely to see you and wish you all the best. The buffet was a mixture of continental and cooked breakfast with a couple of ”chef's speciality of the day” which were delicious! Well worth the money. Samuel, thank you for your speedy checkout and your advice. Thank you all again for your kindness and making another stay wonderful. We will miss you all but promise to return again in the near future. Each one of you have contributed to another great stay and made it even more special, you were all very friendly, courteous and very accommodating. The quality of each of you was very impressive. With regards to the hotel, it was great to see some improvements to the room. The bed was very comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud :) The room was very clean, spacious and the new decor was superb. However the shower gel needs to be changed back to the old style one as the new gel is so runny like water and not soapy at all! Also, the WiFi was a bit slow this time and got cut a few times. Still giving 5 out of 5 stars as each member of the staff were amazing and professional with their duties. Can not wait to see the refurbished version of the hotel in months to come :)

The hotel facilities and hardware are great! The breakfast is also very rich! Cons: The balcony of the room is open, it feels unsafe to sleep at night! The most important thing is that the downstairs bar & activities are too loud at night, it's like sleeping on the stereo. Will not live again next time! The music is extremely loud in the evening till the midnight. Cannot sleep. I will never stay in this hotel.

I recently had an amazing experience at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala with our group 62 form 62! The rooms were stunning, and the staff made me feel right at home with their warm hospitality. I loved exploring all the activities available. Horse riding was a highlight, and jet skiing was a blast! The marina offered beautiful boat trips, and I found the spa to be the perfect place to unwind after our day adventures. Plus, the Olympic-sized pool was a fantastic spot to relax. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

I am in a hotel in Uganda every time, the facilities are old, but the location is very good, breakfast is good, service is warm. Note that three different spekes are distinguished, one is cow cow, the most expensive. One is apartment, the second. The most civilian is this, hotel.

With my wife we had a great trip around this beautiful country Uganda. So after Kidepo we were really exhausted. We had about 6 hours to catch our flight back home so our very helpful guide recommended this hotel. The room was spacious comfortable and had a great view of the city. Downside: One: The restaurant doesn't serve lunch so we had to order from Cafe Javas and the driver guide delivered Two: For day use I was charged the full amount and given a printed receipt that showed the amount half day. Attempts to get back my bucks proved to be futile as the receptionist (name Isaac as per his tag and the receipt) who had been very helpful and friendly had turned into a super crook. This guy took advantage of our situation. I paid on check in and as we hurried to put the bags on the car when our guide (Gideon) came to pick us I remembered and asked my wife to get the receipt from the desk. A terrible experience at the tail end of what had been higher to a beautiful trip.

The food is so good, the Chinese food is great, and the breakfast is good. It is much better than what I had in Shanghai. I miss it very much when I arrive in Tanzania. I really want to go back to Uganda. The chef of this restaurant is the best I have eaten in Africa. Recommend
