**** goood place! Rooms, beach, food everything is great!

Fantastic staycation option enar Chennai!! We chose this location for a staycation with our family. My father has had recent health issues and hence his ability to move has been limited. Going to this resort was a way for us to enjoy some down time as well as letting my father move about and enjoy. From that perspective it proved to be a great choice. The hotel is very nicely structured with a wide corridor that's great to walk around - which my father enjoyed. The rest of the family enjoyed the private beach, the shack, the swimming pool and the recreation room. I even enjoyed some street cricket by the beach with a few other guests (the equipment was brought by the guests, not provided by the hotel). The rooms are nice & spacious and the hospitality top class. I paid top of the line, but I can happily say the experience was worth it. Couple of things to improve on - (a) the Melting pot is the only functioning restaurant during week days. If you are planning to stay purely at the resort, that can be a bit boring. The shack by the beach has drinks and snacks but isn't a full dining place and Tao of Peng was entirely closed during our weekday-trip. (b) The resort does not enforce dress code in the swimming pool. You will see people swimming with all sorts of attires. It is a well kept pool and the experience is great, but you might put off by people showing up in the pool in their normal clothes. (This is kind of normal in India, but I would've expect IHG to have international norms). Overall great!

The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Please do not stay in room number 212 it stinks of drain. Very bad experience. We had travelled from Bangalore to celebrate our anniversary, we were tired but had to change our room as it was stinking. If you go for the buffet breakfast please do not sit at the sofas right at the 2 ends, the AC doesn’t work and you will be sitting in a sauna. The breakfast service was very poor, no water and not so bothered staff, even after asking the guy standing next to juice counter there was no water. The only Girl who was good was Sri Lakshmi, she was friendly and attentive. Not sure if the F&B manager is bothered about the customers. What we liked, the guy who welcomes you with Conch shell, Amit bell boy who brought our luggage and Tiki shack. Will we come back -NEVER. My wife is a club member and while they would call it out every where, it seemed the club members get extremely poor service.

Good stay with the family. Food was great. Staff were friendly. Weather was hot so spent mornings and evenings in the pool and beach. During daytime we spent time in the children’s play room, restaurant and lounge. Staff Urmila who helped in the play room was very good.

Had a fantastic massage. Feel reborned and renewed. A wonderful experiance. Thotmaya is a very professional and experienced massage therapist. I can only recommend him and amrta spa. Thank you very much for the relaxed and goid moment here

Great stay! The property was beautiful, featuring large, clean rooms that provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. One of the employees, Suresh, stood out for his exceptional helpfulness and enterprising spirit, making our visit even more enjoyable.
