Best Hotels in Kandolhu, Maldives

We went for a family vacation from end of Dezember to mid January and were happy in all possible ways! The whole Kandolhu team is super friendly and provide an amazing stay! With the 5 restaurants you have a wide variety of foods to try and to explore different tastes! Special hint: We absolutely fell in love with the „butter chicken“ at the market - you’ll not find it on the card and you have to pre-order it 24hrs. in advance but it will blow your mind! The island is extremely clean, you have many small & bigger sharks circling close the the shore or around the reef as well as at least 3 turtles and eagle rays! We stayed at a water bungalow and with their direct access to the ocean you get to see corals and fish close to your doorstep! Snorkling around the housreefs really is a blissful experience as the corals and marine life has recovered very well from it‘s previous bleaching! Diving with Chiara & Michael makes a lot of fun and you even get to see some dive sites only approached from Kandolhu with fishswarms and hard corals as far as you can see - it really was an amazing experience! Special thanks to Nasru, Kris, Elvira, Estella, Waan for their excellent service in the restaurants, Raghi for looking after us and ensuring that we liked the food, Chiara, Michael and the boat crew for providing such funny dives and their efforts on the boat, Gilbert and the lady at the bar which welcomed you always with a smile and provided fantastically, Immi, which was always there for you if you had any question and Monika & Giaume, as the hosts of the island they were always open for a chat, where making sure that if something was needed you would get it immediately - great effort by all the Kandolhu Team!

Very nice resort island, with personnel always ready to help and always there for you. Food is impressive and various plates are served. The bars are serving very good cocktails and in the evenings there are good entertainment programs. The minus I would highlight is the activities offered, different kind of trips on the sea, but if not enough subscribers, excursion is cancelled or it can become a private one for a very high price. Also as e negative feature, the convenience store displays shameless prices, really offensive; I would understand these commercial excesses for unnecessary merchandise, but when you put a price of 50 dollars on a small bottle of sunscreen, is obvious they just want to rip off tourists.

Everything was wonderful. It had a cheerful Italian atmosphere, and the staff were friendly enough to say hello when they passed each other.

It is a hotel where I would like to stay next time. Every day fruit and cookies arrived in the room and it was fine. Sufficient service will be provided.

The Maldives vacation was wonderful! Excellent Origami Inn Guest House, excellent location near the beautiful bikini beach, cleanliness, delicious breakfasts and dinners. Excellent and responsive attitude of the staff and the owner. The owners of the hotel are a family, very nice, kind, friendly and hospitable people who speak English well. They helped me in everything, met me, saw me off - just wonderful people. Aziz solved any questions and requests. Aziz organized interesting excursions to another island for us and took us diving with turtles himself. It's like we're visiting a friend! We will be happy to come next time and advise our friends!
