TownePlace Suites Kansas City at Briarcliff

Of all the TownePlace Suites by Marriott I have ever stayed in, this is by far and away the best I have found. As soon as you walk in the doors you can tell it is a newer property, I would say within the last 3 or 4 years given how impeccably clean it is. The lovely Candace provided a warm, Marriott-style welcome, and I also appreciated the kindness of the gentleman who was manning the night audit desk, whose name I unfortunately did not get. My room was clean, and I especially appreciated the huge shower. Special kudos to the amazing Brenda, whose attention to every single guest at breakfast did not go unnoticed and should be applauded by any and all who happen to read this review. Bravo, team!

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was good. For two of the nights I was there upstairs room was very loud and sleep was hard to come by. The front desk is friendly, but seem somewhat uninterested in customer service. Not terrible, but not the best. Will probably look for another option on my next trip.

Very disappointed in a $100 charge for a pet! I could have booked him his own hotel room at that price!!! I think there needs to be transparency on the site about ridiculous charges. $100 is not pet friendly

This was a last minute stay and we got a great rate at this hotel. We really only needed the room to sleep and have breakfast and then we were headed back on the road, so we didn't spend too much time there, but for the short stay, the staff was very nice, the room was very clean, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast was decent. The room was really nice for anyone that would be staying for a longer period of time. It had a cute little pull out desk for working, amble lighting and a full kitchen stocked with dishes, and everything you'd need to cook for a few days. We weren't in town long enough to visit any of the places around the hotel, but we did drive by the shops/restaurants that are across from it and it looked like a cute area to grab a drink. I'd stay here again for sure.
