It's a very nice hotel as the location is just next to a pub bar with a live band. As a visitor in this city, it's a nice way to spend the night. Plus it's a few minutes away from the train station. The buffet breakfast was good, lots of choices. The front desk receptionist was very accommodating and the front door guard helps us to call for a taxi. The staffs were all nice and helpful.

Can sense the attention paid in designing the room - comfortable bed - bedside charging (usb ports included) - media panel (hdmi port, audio etc… also located bedside) - 49 inch tv is big enough given distance from bed to tv - complimentary mini bar items (though it is just two small bottles of soft drinks and 2 packets of snacks that is not refilled enough though I stayed two nights) - pillow menu - stand-alone bathtub comes with a view! - speakers in room and toilet negatives - tv no Chromecast - duvet could be thicker - bath towels could be thicker - bedside clock cum usb speaker audio quality quite poor - non carpeted floor may not be to everyone’s liking (cold)

The location is convenient. The staff at the door will carefully remind you of the steps. They are very friendly and smiling. Every experience is good. Breakfast is a set menu with a buffet bar. The service he showed at breakfast was incredible and I can see from his service that he is very passionate and professional in his work. And my husband loved the cocktails as well. The escalator at Exit 4 leads to the pedestrian path from the MRT station. Passengers with luggage will have no problem if they are heading towards the hotel. Leave Passengers, please go to Exit 2. There is an elevator there to facilitate tourists carrying luggage home. Room: The basic equipment is complete, the bed is not very soft, the space is spacious, and it is inconvenient that there is no socket near the bed. The sound insulation is good, the air conditioning is moderate, and I slept well. There is a butt-washing toilet, which is great. Reception: Since I arrived early, my luggage was stored at the hotel for free. Surprisingly, the front desk also cared about the customer's situation. Just like on Thursday and Friday, Hong Kong was flooded everywhere. The front desk also cared about me and talked to me about the situation. It was very kind! On the first night, I accidentally slipped in the bathroom and hit my toe on the bathtub, causing bleeding and red heel. I went downstairs and asked the front desk for help. After understanding the situation, the front desk immediately provided me with some medicines and OK boxes, and then arranged for ice cubes to be sent directly to the room, which was very considerate. When leaving and returning to the hotel, the front desk staff greeted or nodded, which was quite enthusiastic. The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is its people. This saying is true. Thanks to the front desk on the last day for interacting with me and making this trip a perfect ending.

I was on a business trip with my husband because I knew that Kangqiao has a convenient 24-hour coffee bar. I really liked this small service. You can have snacks at any time. In Taiwan to visit with family and friends. We found our stay at Sun Hotel a great experience. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our room was lovely and a good size, had a very large comfortable bed, very well appointed bathroom with good shower, very clean and well kept. The room was extremely quiet, making it easy to sleep. The breakfast room was well set up, tasteful decor. Great variety of food offered, friendly staff. Convenient to cafes and some retail, short uber to rail. We will stay again when we visit Taiwan

There is a strong smell of smoke after entering the room. It should be the last visitor who stole cigarettes in the room. Fortunately, the service staff finally changed the room to us. But I hope that next time I clean it, I will find smoke. First open the door and clean the air to the smokeless smell. Hotel staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. We managed to get two rooms side by side which is a plus point. Every floor has a water dispenser which is very useful if we need hot water. There is a laundry room on the third floor with free washing powder to use. Breakfast buffet on the second floor was really great, my family loves the variety of the food provided and everyday some of the items will be changed too. Hotel is located in between Kaohsiung station and Formosa Boulevard station. Currently there are renovation going on at Kaohsiung station which cause a slight detour if we were to walk over there. Walking time are both around 10mins. Overall we are really satisfied with the stay.

It was nice that it was close to both Kaohsiung and Meridao stations. Also, the bed was fluffy and comfortable. It was great to have a bath and sauna, but since Taiwan doesn't have a bath culture, there was no changing room, so the shower room and bathtub were in one room, so I had to change clothes there. Fortunately, there was something like a small locker so my belongings didn't get wet. Although the layout of the room was confusing, overall it was a good hotel because the fatigue of the trip changes depending on whether you get soaked in hot water or not. It also came with a bath towel and pajamas, and the pajamas were very light and comfortable.
