Royal Fine Hotel ★★★★
"The room was smaller than expected, amenities was also fewer than expected. However the location was good, bus stop was just infront of the hotel and train station was a few minutes away only. Service was also great but its sad that we have to pay for extra hotel card. Overall hotel was good, just hope they improve the amenities considering the hotel wasnt cheap."
Airline Inn Kaohsiung Station ★★★★
"Nice budget friendly hotel with good buffet breakfast included. Couldn't find any instrns to get to this hotel so document here for future travellers. For those taking either Red line (from Zuoying HSR) or Taiwan railways to Kaohsiung station, head towards exit 2, go up a couple of escalators till u reach a big open atrium n see the Taiwan Railway Information lobby, walk to the side with big sundial. Take the escalator on the right to ground level (Jianguo 3rd road) and you will see the hotel on the opposite side of the road. My family stayed in 2 rooms. One of the room had the sink outside the toilet. Not good because the water and drain pipe can be noisy. Free coffee and tea available in the lobby and free use of laundry machines. There is a row of fast food outlets next to hotel, supermarket PX Mart abt 10 minutes walk away. 15 to 20 minutes walk to Liuhe night market."
SKYONE HOTEL ★★★
"There are 4 lifts so not need to wait for too long. The hotel also provided some information about places of attraction and good foods to try out."
Fullon Poshtel Kaohsiung ★★★★
"Overall, the hotel is decent and comfortable for a stay. My room was clean and spacious. The hotel is eco-friendly, so single-use personal care items like toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided; they are available at the counter for 20 NTD if needed. Shower foam and shampoo are provided in the bathroom. There are also no bottled water amenities, but you can boil your own water in the room. One feature I really appreciated was the laundry room. As someone who likes to wash clothes while travelling, this was a big plus. It isn’t free (50 NTD for washing and another 50 NTD for drying), but I find the pricing reasonable. The hotel also offers free biscuits and drinks during the day at Level 16, which guests are welcome to enjoy. The location is convenient, within walking distance to a FamilyMart and the Cianjin MRT station. What I didn’t particularly like, although I understand the eco-friendly concept, was that some basic hotel service felt lacking. Late at night, I called the front desk to request paper and a pen, and was told I had to go down to collect it myself. Personally, after showering and settling in for the night, I didn’t expect to have to go downstairs for such a small request, and it was mildly frustrating, so I chose not to collect it and only asked again the following day. That said, I’m not sure if this was due to a particular staff member. My interactions with other front desk staff were generally positive, they were helpful with directions and assisted me with booking a taxi in advance. Overall, a comfortable stay with good facilities, though service consistency could be improved slightly."
FX Hotel Kaohsiung ★★★★

Just Sleep Kaohsiung Station ★★★★

Kaohsiung Marriott Hotel
"The pool and spa facilities were great, and the room was spacious with a nice view. It would be even better if the breakfast selection was more extensive."
Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung
"Clean and good service. Many amenities around. Breakfast is local and fresh. Easy to go."
Hotel Nikko Kaohsiung
"Service was great! Everyone was super polite and there was always someone who was fluent in multiple languages. Very clean. I loved the coed outdoor pool on the upper level as well as the same-sex hot tub and sauna rooms. Best part was the food! I have attached photos of the food I got there (all included for free with executive floor rooms). Breakfast was amazing! I booked the executive floor room (so basically any room on floors 18-20). Executive rooms comes with breakfast by default even if you don't book one that explicitly includes the breakfast. There's actually 2 options for breakfast. There's the Nikko Room Executive breakfast on the top floor where there's a made to order menu (2 choices/day) as well as a buffet of Hors d'oeuvre style foods. The first day we ordered bruleed banana with pancake and egg and then this crepe thing. I preferred the breakfast on the second floor at the Serena All day Restaurant. Serena Restaurant had Haagen Daz ice cream and a greater variety of foods including choose your fruit juice bar, noodle station, lots of buffet style western and asian food, ham by the slice, they also had a cart they pushed around with Hong Kong style dim sum and also another cart for bread. Booking the executive floor rooms also gave you afternoon tea (3-5pm) which was Hors d'oeuvres and they had a fridge of drinks including, juice, soda, and beer. One day they had a whole rack of fresh honeycomb that you could slice off and eat. Executive room also gives you Cocktail hour which you can choose from 2 drinks on the menu that they make for you or there's alcohol on the table you can pour yourself. It's unlimited drinks. There's also Hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour. Location is decent. It's quiet but not very close to major attractions. It's close to Costco so we went several times. Trains are about a 10 minute walk away so not that close. Not many nearby attractions but that's more of the layout of KaohSiung, we walked to the train and went to the art pier as well as cijin old street, and the Love's Lookout."
TAI Urban Resort
"The room was really big for two of us. I think it was meant to be for four people. They have free snacks and drinks and are refilled every day. The beds are comfy for us as in they are not too soft (we don’t like beds that are too soft that sinks in as our back will feel uncomfortable the next day)."
Grand Hi-Lai Hotel
"Although the facilities were a bit old, the river view was great. Overall it's a nice stay."
Fullon Hotel Kaohsiung
"Always good"
Han-Hsien International Hotel
"Over all it's a good hotel. Location, attitude of the staff, cleanliness."
H2O Hotel
"One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Wonderful staff! Whether it's the concierge employees at level 1, or the check-in staff at level 20, or the breakfast staff, everyone is polite and helpful. Fantastic service and facilities. Breakfast is amazing. Everything is perfect, and I strongly encourage visitors to Kaohsiung to stay at H2O hotel!"
HWA NAH Motel
"The facilities are complete and the rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is also served. This is a recommended place to stay."
THE AMNIS, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kaohsiung
"The room is spacious and well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, trying their best to accommodate your every need. Their teppanyaki restaurant also serves amazing food!"
Grand Orchid Resort Villa
"A bit old. The hot spring is very good"
Single Inn (Kaohsiung Station)
"The breakfast was very nice, and the common area was comfortable and well maintained—even though the building itself is relatively small. The layout and interior design make practical use of the space, which I appreciated. The location is also excellent, within easy walking distance of the main train station. I really like the hotel’s concept and atmosphere, and it feels especially welcoming and convenient for solo travellers."
KUNG SHANG DESIGN HOTEL
"Room size is very big, compared to other Taiwan hotels we've stayed at. That's definitely a big plus. Downside is that the building is quite old - has a musty smell. Other than that, everything else is great."
City Suites - Kaohsiung Chenai
"Great for attending concert at Kaohsiung Music Centre, walking distance. Light rail right outside your door. Very convenient."
Hub Hotel - KAOHSIUNG QIXIAN BRANCH
"The room was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I was very impressed."
