Ionian Sea View Hotel - Corfu

Would not recommend staying at the Ionian Sea View Hotel, it was awful. The rooms had black mould, it was dirty and generally poorly maintained. It was not a pleasant place to stay, the staff seemed generally uninterested, which made for a dreadful stay! The linin was either dirty or damaged, with the bath mats being covered in holes!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! If i could put 0 stars i would!! I stayed here with my friends for 8 nights over the summer and was the worst experience i’ve had. DISGUSTING!! the room looked okay in the photos but was complete opposite. the room appeared like it hadn’t been cleaned at all before we arrived. everything was chargeable, Wifi €12 that didn’t even reach our room, Aircon €65 and €50 deposit! food was disgusting and over priced. we arrived in our room after being told the price of the aircon and decided to firm it for the night. we couldn’t last the night as it was too hot and we paid the €65. The next morning we woke up and found the stove had been left on since we arrived in the room. think this was a scam to get us to pay for aircon. The room was dirty and no housekeepers anywhere to be seen our whole stay. we cleaned everything ourselves and when we requested new sheets we had to wait over a day. we called maintenance many times during our stay. the door was broken and wouldn’t lock. the bed was broken, the toilet was broken and the shower curtain kept falling down. The pool was also green. there was a lovely lady, Antonia that served breakfast and made our stay. this was about the only good thing about this hotel

Avoid dirty disgusting unhygienic smelly hotel. To start off with the woman charged 65 euros for air-conditioning. Then 12 euros for WiFi that didn't work and 50 euros deposit. The bed was broken and the curtain was ripped. The toilet broke multiple times and they even left the stove on. The 'cleaned our room once' and didn't even make the bed. The room is full of dust and mould and bedbugs and more. The pool is green and the breakfast was minimal with no options of drinks. The room is small. No space. The view is nice I would say. The hotel needs sort it out. Waste of money

After reading a few of the bad reviews before we travelled here, I was very anxious over the hotel but I can honestly say it was a wonderful stay. We stayed in B block we did not have any issues with ants expect 2 which were in the bathroom sink all week, this did not bother us at all as ants are very common in hotter countries. The rooms are very dated but if you have travelled to Greece before this is quite common. If you like a firm bed this would be perfect for you, I did struggle with this but the pillows were lovely and soft which helped. I read a few reviews complaining about fresh towels and bedding. We received fresh bedding and towels on our third day. ( let’s be honest how many times do you wash your towels at homes?) The room did come with some cutlery but did not have a kettle when we arrived, reception did supply this when asked. The food was beautiful every pool side meal was of high quality, we ate once at the hotel restaurant and that was delicious as well. Jenny who is at the pool side bar and restaurant is one of the most amazing genuine women I have ever met. She works from 8am till 9pm and always had a smile on her face. She even helped us when our transfer bus was late picking us up for our travels home and would not go home until we were on the bus. I understand that some people will have issues with hotels in general and when we was there some people did have issues not with the hotel staff but the quality of D block. Please not let the bad reviews deter you from staying here as it is a lovely little hotel with amazing views.

The hotel offers comfortable studios and apartments, each equipped with a small kitchenette—perfect for preparing light meals. Our studio was spacious, with balcony that provide breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea . The serene atmosphere combined with the beautiful scenery made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Ionian Sea View for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with stunning views.

Awful hotel , standard of rooms beyond atrocious . Spent one night and had to leave . Arrived too late for even a pool towel . Avoid at all costs unless you’re 17 and on a mates holiday. 1 clothes hanger and atrocious service . Weather is the only positive thing about this hotel .

This is a hotel is well past its best. The rooms are dated (90s my guess). The whole hotel is in much need of being updated and in need of repair in places. We went self catering….I would suggest B&B or Half Board. There are no pans to cook with anyway! The staff, mainly two of them (Jenny and the guy on reception) work long hours and do their best. The food is actually nice. Limited at the pool bar but still nice. More choice in the hotel. The views are incredible and the main reason why we chose this hotel, along with the price of it. There are very good restaurants locally, within walking distance. Some good bars with live music on (Streetz Bar is great). The other issue is, Kavos hasn’t changed since the 90s. If you want to explore locally, don’t. The whole town stinks of and most of it has half built/run down properties. From around 2pm till 6pm they have a DJ on who just sits on his phone; cranks the music up and plays the same play list…..every day! And I love house/dance music but this guy didn’t care and is just picking up his pay cheque. In summary; imagine the worst run down council estate, but with great views, nice people and decent food.

I went to this hotel with friends and I have to say it exceeded expectations. The food was always to a high standard, the rooms were very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Jenny at the pool bar. Its a great choice for younger people to have good time with high quality of service.

Recommendation 100% by me because it's one of the best hotels in the area of Kavos. The pool area was clean and enjoyable, as also the overall cleanliness of the rooms. I had a lovely holiday thanks to the beautiful surroundings and friendly staff​.
