The Alpenhotel Kitzbuhel should be a 6 star hotel. The service is outstanding as always and never disappoints. The food is the highest level and the location and views are one of the most beautiful you will find. What makes it unique and a very special hotel are the hotel staff who are such a fantastic team and really do care and go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. They all work extremely hard and are efficient, professional, and friendly. My husband and I love this place!

Our stay at Alpen Hotel was a great introduction to Kitzbühel. Situated by Lake Schwarz , this hotel is the perfect blend of luxury and natural beauty. Our suite had its own private sauna! Scenic trails around the lake, warm staff, a welcome drink, delectable food & ample parking..  We can’t wait to come back!

Lakefront resort. New with fabulous rooms and dining. Stellar breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds. Garage parking. Hotel guest reserved beach area. Had the two floor suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Cool blue lights the showers. Sauna in the room. Deck facing the lake for sunsets. Bath amenities - White & Co. Quiet as the rooms have double paned glass. Call reception when you arrive to open the gate. Fun in-room coffee machine. Service is also outstanding.

Alpenhotel Kitzbuhuel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We were slightly worried as it has been newly refurbished so a lot of the photos online are artists impressions. However, the reality more than lived up to it. The food was incredible - breakfast was so copious it would have suited anyone and the dinner was 6 courses of deliciousness. We loved afternoon tea (which included savoury dishes such as chili con carne, pasta and Austrian pizza as well as cakes). The room (the Garden Suite) was so comfortable with an enormous TV, amazing bed, beautiful views and our own personal sauna! The infinity pool is gorgeous and very scenic and we loved the Kalm room where people chilled out on day beds. Lastly, the staff were so kind and helpful (as well as forgiving of our rubbish German) - particularly shout-out to Chiara on front desk and our waiter Dean. We can’t wait to come back - possibly in summer!

My husband and I have been coming to this hotel for 17 years so it is like our home. We just recently stayed there which is they first time since it was newly renovated. It is in our opinion the best hotel we have ever stayed in and has been refurbished to perfection,. What makes this hotel so special is the warm hospitality of the staff from the front desk management and administration to the restaurant and spa staff. They are extremely friendly and warm as well as professional, efficient and very hard working. The food is also top quality and you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend this hotel if you need a relaxing break.

I have been to the Alpenhotel several times and have always been more than satisfied. Whether it was the check-in or the catering, they always made a great effort and everything was excellent, including the kitchen. I am already looking forward to my next visit. The rooms are really nice. The wellness area is also perfect for my taste.

Disappointing return. I arrived at the Alpen hotel with the best expectations after many years. I found the hotel beautifully renovated, truly exceptional and elegantly cared for in every corner. But the sore point begins at the restaurant: the breakfast is good, but the dinner is truly disappointing as it presents banal dishes with dishes that have no taste or particular flavours, not to mention the buffet which for 3 days offered the same things removed and put back identical next evening. Really unpleasant episode on the last evening with a young waiter who, after telling us to stay calm while waiting for an ice cream, joined us at the bar violently slamming 2 cups on the counter in the presence of two other bar waiters. Not I have no words to judge this behavior, especially because I was offered a drink by the reception, when I was only expecting an apology from the waiter.

Beautiful hotel with friendly, courteous staff. Unfortunately, we couldn't really relax because we were constantly under time pressure. Dinner until 8 p.m. Spa only until 7 p.m. After skiing, it was impossible to relax in peace and enjoy the spa. That spoiled our stay a bit.

Great from the outside, but unfortunately rather dreadful from the inside. We arrived on Friday evening and were told at 8 p.m. that there was no room service for food and the restaurant was also reluctant to take our order. The relatively small breakfast buffet was half empty and was only refilled on request. If you want scrambled eggs made, you have to wait in line for 10 minutes. This, combined with staff who started vacuuming during breakfast and polishing the cutlery next to you in the breakfast room, creates a somewhat strange impression. The hotel is in principle beautiful in terms of the overall complex but is particularly poorly managed. It's a shame, they could have offered more here.

Service is keen but completely uncoordinated, queues at the breakfast buffet that is not replenished and a kitchen that closes at 8pm, no room service, a few of the highlights you can expect at an Alpine hotel. In principle a beautiful facility but poorly managed.

Ten of us stayed at the Alpenhotel in June and had a great weekend. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and we were particularly impressed by the spacious rooms and beautiful bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and took great care of us. We had breakfast on the terrace in the fantastic weather. But only after we had already swum a few laps in the lake in the morning. The pool and wellness area are spacious and comfortable. Great location for adults, as Kitzbühel is within walking distance and the surrounding area offers many opportunities for activities, especially in summer. With half board you can have a great breakfast and in the evening the multi-course menu is almost too much.

If you feel like you're among friends with the staff in a hotel, then that can't be surpassed. The Alpenhotel reopened in December 2021 in a completely new outfit. Accordingly, the team there is probably still quite new. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable from the very first moment and we were well looked after. All wishes were practically read from our lips... Tyrolean hospitality par excellence - especially in the restaurant and bar area! The great food, the new spa area and the magnificent location on the Schwarzsee should not go unmentioned. We will definitely come back.

We are so excited about this hotel. The passion and aesthetics with which this hotel has been built are truly impressive. All of the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. The rooms are impressive, clean and tastefully decorated. The food selection is outstanding and really delicious and fresh. We will never forget this holiday and would love to come back!

4 days/penthouse suite with direct access to the lake, private sauna and phenomenal view of the Schwarzsee and the mountains. Wellness, good food, relaxation and great people. From the service to the hotel manager. Everything could have been so nice until a woman in her mid-60s (an age group that the hotel unfortunately does not advertise) complained to us at 10:58 p.m. on the day of our arrival (arrived at the hotel at 8 p.m., then ate straight away, then closing time at 10 p.m. ... hence room and unpacking) because of allegedly too loud behavior. Unfortunately, the tone makes the music here. We don't want to go into more detail as we were about to leave. The story was resolved in our favor thanks to the competent and courteous staff. From then on it was just a matter of enjoying ourselves. In short: definitely eat and drink in the Steghaus. Highly recommended. Plus great staff. Incredibly great saunas and the world's best beauty treatment ever... ..we know our way around here. Thank you for the relaxing time after stressful meetings and for getting away from everyday life. Well done. Always happy to come again. The ladies from 615.

Be careful with deposits, even if you're a regular guest! We stayed here last season for thousands of euros in multi-story suites, etc. Now the hotel has managed to mess up a cancellation that was made well in advance and wants to charge us the deposit. That shows very bad style. We definitely won't be coming back. It's a money-making scheme and feels like fraud.
