The room was fine. When we arrived after a long day a Crater Lake we were ready for a shower and bed. We were informed that the “hotel rooms” didn’t have hot water because the water heater broke and that we’d have to shower in the campground showers. Inconvenient for sure but not the end of the world. They did give us quarters to shower with. However the men’s shower was so nasty covered in bugs and cobwebs with bugs that I spent several minutes just splashing them down an off he walls of the shower so I could use it. Hard to get a clean feeling in a shower covered in bugs. Now mind you this is the common use camp shower not the hotel room shower which seemed fine in room (just no hot water). My wife reported she did NOT have the same experience in the women’s camp shower. I contacted to property and gave them ample time to respond to me about a partial refund. They have not contacted me or offered anything besides 8 bucks in quarters. There are other accommodations in the area. It may not feel/look like that when searching from afar but 140 store has a nice looking motel and lake of the woods isn’t that far away and had options. So don’t feel like this place is the only place around because it ain’t. Would I stay again? Probably not. But it’s mostly because they won’t do the right thing and offer a partial refund. Not because that e accommodations were bad. But not having hot water in the bathroom for showers is kind of a deal breaker for us.

Really run down RV park that happens to have a restaurant on site which I guess makes it “a resort”. The restaurant/bar is high priced…bland little under average food….also keeps odd hours. The little motel area where we stayed was infested with bugs of all kinds…. The railings are all ancient and not to code, piles of garbage at the dumpster area…they need 2 dumpsters. Broken down picnic tables….boiling hot little store very unorganized. The decks are about shot at the restaurant outdoor seating area. Nowhere to sit out and watch wild life. Met a few kindly employees there but it doesn’t change the facts that this place is really in bad shape. We have 100’s of various bug bites from staying there….my wife broke out with a rash as well after sleeping in that room. There are better spots to stay…..

Disgusted and heartbroken. My husband and I have been going to Rocky Point since we got a trailer. We have always called to make our reservations, and talked with the staff there. Never have we had an issue and always invited our friends and family to join us. This week we were suppose to camp and the kiddos (1 year old and 2 year old) came down with pink eye, ear infection and a bad respiratory virus. We called to cancel our reservation and spoke with Nikki who was so understanding and kind. Nikki let us know that it would be smarter to just reschedule to a different date so we wouldn't lose any money, which we so appreciated. Nikki was wonderful to speak with on the phone. When we called back we spoke with Kayla, who informed us that there would be an additional charge of $25.00 to reschedule our reservation to a different weekend. The fee was never mentioned when speaking with them prior on the phone as well as the cancelation policy. Kayla went on to blame the new gal, Danielle, about the lack of information, but we never once mentioned a Danielle. We asked Kayla multiple times if we could speak to Nikki, because she is who we had talked to prior. At first, Kayla would not acknowledge us asking for Nikki and listed other people’s names instead. Eventually she admitted a Nikki working there & said she would relay the message, but we would need to handle everything with Kayla. When asking if we could speak to a manager Kayla said they were not in today, but that they would give us a call back to discuss our matter. Kayla then paused for 30 seconds or so and then told us she was actually the manager herself and the highest person we could talk to apart from the owner. We informed her we did not mind speaking to the owner as Kayla’s attitude was already offsetting to speak with. Kayla said she would give them a message to give us a call back. I completely respect that policies are in place for a reason, but when you call to make a reservation those policies should be mentioned. So how will we ever be informed of them. I am saddened because it is a beautiful location, but Kayla has put a bad taste in our mouth and has horrible customer service. I will no longer be recommending.

Un très bel endroit au calme au milieu de la nature et en bordure de lac, les chambres sont propres et bien équipées, bonne connexion wifi et facilité pour se garer. Un restaurant avec vue et très bon et de nombreuses activités. Je recommande vivement 👍

We arrived to this beautiful little resort to be greeted by Dave and he found us a jewel of a camping spot for our 34’ foot Moho. We had a lakeside view - which was so nice to look out as we sat at our breakfast table! We rented a fishing boat and even though the weather wasn’t the best - Rocky Point made sure they could accommodate us to make a great experience at their resort. We didn’t get a chance to have dinner in their restaurant but the ambiance and view looks spectacular. And we hear the ribeye is yummy! The grounds were clean, and the washrooms in the washrooms were totally updated and clean. If you were in that area, we recommend to stay there! Thank you Rocky point resort! This Hotell is in the middle of nowhere. So there is no food, restaurants or anything nearby the hotel. Tv was not working and there no front desk manager or anybody to call to fix it. They forgot to provide me with the wifi password so i was tottaly isolated from humanity. The manager has not clue how to work with ******* so he charged me twice and he refused to issue me a credit for the double charge. Stay away.

With some misgivings about this "resort" I decided to book our reservations for three nights regardless. What a mistake! The cabin, "2", was shabby, small, dingy, and run down. The windows were dirty and covered in greasy fingerprints and a sticky tape covered with dead bugs! I couldn't stand to look out so I washed the front window myself. Also, the ceilings are very low so if you're six feet or taller forget it! The dishes appeared as if someone just wiped the food off the plates without washing them I washed the dishes prior to using as well as the cutlery. I have stayed in many cabins in the past but never this dilapidated and neglected with questionable cleanliness at best. It is very far off the beaten track so make sure you have plenty of supplies. The store is really inadequate for buying anything other than alcohol or snacks. The restaurant, while it has a nice view of the lake, also appears run down. The male host, I didn't get his name, was rude to my husband and me when we were staring at his computer by the entrance with all the guests personal information! He reprimanded us for looking at the computer. I informed him he was compromising guest's information and if he's so concerned perhaps he should secure his computer better. It's an hour's drive to Crater Lake so it's not exactly "the backyard" of CL as it's described. If you're into fishing and staying in your RV it may not be so bad, I don't know. One can do better. We checked out a day early, I couldn't tolerate another night, and forfeited our last night's charges. The chef/front desk clerk was very cordial though . At over $600 for the stay, we can certainly do better.

Great dog friendly place. Happy to notice that the dog owners cleaned up after their dogs. The grounds were clean. Staff very friendly. The kayak and boat rentals were a nice option. Their store was great for taking care of a chocolate craving. Lol. The views were simply amazing. Got some wonderful pictures. The restaurant was very nice, the food was ok and a bit pricey. We stayed in an RV. You can tell it was quickly cleaned. The sheet didn't fit on the mattress so I had to fix something up with our blankets from the road trip. The toilet is a regular toilet, not a smaller kind. So when you sit on it, your knees are just about touching the wall. We will probably come back again, but next time staying in one of the rooms.

I know there are very few lodging options for those heading north from California to visit Crater Lake, but Rocky Point Resort is definitely NOT one of them. If you care even a little bit about hygiene and sanitation, DO NOT book the three bedroom "Big House" at this resort. Rustic is one thing, but the neglect and disrepair is appalling especially given that the "Big House" is their nicest and most expensive unit. Although certain areas of the house looked like someone might have made an attempt to "clean" (i.e., kitchen, primary bedroom, dining room, & living room - basically the photographed portions of the house), the rest of the house was left to neglect and quite frankly, disgusting. There were dirty markings on the walls. The main clock hanging in the dining room was dripping some strange orange substance. In the ceiling just outside the bunk bed room there were bunches of ants eating away at the drywall and leaving white flakes all over the floor. Spiders and cobwebs were found in various nooks and crannies inside and outside of the house. The butter knives in the kitchen drawer were still sticky and with crumbs from who knows how long ago. The fan they provided for the secondary bedrooms had months, if not years, worth of dust on it, we had to wipe it down before we could use it. There is absolutely no customer service at this property. Before making a reservation online, I tried to call several times to ask some questions. No one ever picked up the phone. That should have been a HUGE warning. But, desperate due to the lack of lodging options in the area, I went ahead and booked online anyway. A couple of days before our arrival, I tried to call again to give the resort a heads up that we would have 2 more people joining our party of 3. Again, could not reach a human. When it looked like we would arrive late to the property, I called again several times to see if there was any special late check-in procedure because my confirmation email didn't indicate what to do if you arrive later than the check-in time. Sometimes in these remote places there is no one there after a certain time. Again, no one picked up. After a night in the "Big House" of horrors, I went to the front desk to let them know that we were checking out one night early - thereby forfeiting one of the two nights that we paid for this "resort." The person at the front desk didn't seem to care. She was concerned that the ants eating away at the ceiling might be carpenter ants, which could harm the structure of the building, but other than that, there was no worry about my distress. When my husband asked for some restitution for what we endured, the woman just directed us to the number on their flyer. Supposedly, this is the number for the owner of Rocky Point Resort, Esther. This number is the same number from their website. The number that leads to an unidentified voicemail that is consistently full. Diligently, I called the number after we left
