Mae Nam Beach
Quite hard to write an objective review in the context of the limited pandemic reopening . In line with most establishments in Thailand , many facilities like the restaurant hadn't opened at the time I visited . Well located , only a few hundred yards from the beach , and a few minutes walk to the main road , where you will find a good selection of shops and restaurants . Nice , well maintained , decent sized pool . The rooms are modern , comfortable , and spotlessly clean . Didier , the owner , was charming and welcoming . I just hope that business picks up for him ( and other owners ) .

Mae Nam Beach
Perched in rm 120 overlooking the Gulf just metres away from my 2nd floor balcony, this is where you want to be for an intimate ocean beach experience. Large shady tree in front provided welcome relief from afternoon sun. Great spot to enjoy morning tea, reading, internet browsing, happy hr. (Good WiFi throughout). The narrow beach is raked/cleaned daily. The sea was clear most days; depth drops off fairly quickly and, at 26/27C, ideal for swimming! The on-grounds smallish pool was kept immaculate, although located uncomfortably close for my liking to the facing ‘beach front’ rooms (so no sense of privacy). The room itself was spacious, bright & modern. No ornamentation. No drawer storage for clothing. A bit Spartan. I complained about the hardness of the bed mattress, so the kind & cheerful housekeeping staff added a 2.5 cm padding cover, which helped. Roomy washroom with push-open window; glassed-in shower stall had excellent hot water pressure. TV was useless since the channel menu is very limited; no BBC, Al Jazeera, CNN, etc. On arrival Nov. 14, I negotiated an inclusive breakfast into my 26-night price w. the gracious manager, Pom, who also met & transferred me from the airport. At the time the hotel was undergoing expansion construction which included a bar/dining area and professional kitchen. Now that that work is complete the breakfast deficiencies I experienced -- cramped seating, virtually no selection variation, undrinkable coffee, bland unhealthy white bread -- presumably have been -- or soon will be -- rectified. (This experience brought my stay rating down a star.) If you opt for a non-incl. breakfast room rate, the Village restaurant across the lane serves up a superior & cheaper one (at least did so back in December); for something more upscale, try nearby About Café. I'd stay at Baan Fah again. Mae Nam Village is quiet but lots of restaurants, pubs/bars & other amenities within easy walking distance, incl: outstanding café & roastery Hachiya, spacious well-organized gym, good hair salon across from About Café, fab massage shop Nan Maenam. If you crave more excitement & adventure, you can rent a motorbike from the mom & pop bike shop nearby the hotel. Final word of praise to the entire Baan Fah staff... with special kudos to the saintly Neung at reception who helped make my stay so agreeable.

Mae Nam Beach
An excellent hotel for a relaxing holiday. Excellent location on Maenam Beach, with access to the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff and manager. When booking, I didn’t know that we would be accommodated in a house with access to the sea, it’s great. The house has all the amenities for a modest holiday: clean linen, a large bed, a mattress (a bit hard, but even my tired back felt good), a fan, a refrigerator, an air conditioner, a hanger and hangers, a mirror and a nightstand. The house is small, partly outdated, no mold. One free socket is a minus. There are ants on the porch, I used a mosquito coil in the evening. The downside is that there are no garbage bags)/ but on the other hand, less plastic is used. Minus: there is no bucket in the bathroom. There is a rope stretched across the porch - that's a plus. The hotel area becomes quiet very early; at 20:00 it is already dark and quiet. If you are planning a noisy, riotous holiday, then this is not the hotel for you; families with children and pensioners hang out here. On-site parking. The sea is almost always calm, the depth is good, the sand is excellent. 3 min walk, laundry, cafe, small shops, moped rental. At 15 minutes, market. I like it
Lolita Bungalow

Mae Nam Beach
I had a few days here last week. I was the only guest. Lolita and family were wonderful. I wanted an old school family run bungalow on the beach, and I had my choice of about 10 under the coconut trees. A beautiful stretch of beach all to myself. Traditional home cooking, and plenty of beer, just for me in the restaurant. And it was great. It was better than I had at some nearby restaurants. The bungalows are not fancy, but they are all you need. The air con worked very well (a bit loud though). If you want a peaceful beachfront location away from the crowds, this is it. There are no restaurants/shops or anything really between the main road and the bungalows, but the main road is only a few minutes walk away. Mae Nam walking street is <10 minutes walk by road, and 5min along the beach. And Lolita has a few near new scooters for hire at a very good price. I recommend contacting via whatsapp - responses can be slow. I wanted to stay much longer. It was peaceful paradise.

Mae Nam Beach
The location points are difficult to find, there is no front desk attendant, you can only find by phone. There is no signboard at the intersection, and the road outside the store has uneven water. It is necessary to pay attention when going out at night. Take a few minutes, there are markets, night markets, The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking.
