A lovely and quaint hotel in centre of the city. The care in the design of the hotel and the preservation of the Peepal tree demonstrates the heart of the hotel. The staff Ankesh, Joli, Krishnansir, staff at the breakfast room, sous chef go out of their to make you comfortable and assist you in all queries. The food is simply sublime. Ankesh assisted us wholeheartedly and solved all our queries. He is a true asset to the hotel, honorable and good. Thank you Raajkutir for a wonderful wonderful stay.

This was a wonderful experience. The layout, the ambience, the artefacts , the cleanliness all were just mind blowing. The staff were well trained and extremely courteous. The room was well made . There was a pursuit of perfection in each domain. And boy, the sleep quality was excellent with 0 % outside light and relatively noise free in the centre of a big city

Raajkutir, Kolkata truly set a benchmark in hospitality during our stay. A special thanks to Urvija, the Hotel GM, for crafting a customer-friendly package during the holiday season and ensuring her team provided exceptional care. Sunita at the reception and Sapna's traditional Bengali welcome added a beautiful touch to our experience. Munshi at the restaurant delighted us with exquisite delicacies while sharing fascinating historical anecdotes. Kudos to Jolly, Ankesh, Deepak, and Prakash for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The dedication and warmth of the entire team made our stay unforgettable! In addition, the evening Bengali cultural program at 5.30am daily in Bengali with hot tea and "jhaal muri(traditional puffed rice snacks)"were truly mesmerizing! Here's wishing the entire team the very best this festive season and a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2025! Stay blessed.

Let me just say that the hotel itself is magnificent and the grounds are beautiful! This is where it ends.. the bathroom smelled like a sewer the entire time, the hotel staff are tip hungry for ANY little thing you request of them to the point where they make you feel uncomfortable, the breakfast staff was disgusting (coughing all over the place, picking their noses, scratching themselves, it was an endless array of grotesque behavior). It's obvious this staff lacks training, but even worse they lack common decency as human beings. They don't have a clue on what good hygiene means. A maintenance staff member came into my room and tracked mud all over the floor and never cleaned it up. 5 star luxury hotel??? I think not! A 5 star luxury is not just about the quality of the property, but the customer service experience!! We pay top dollar, therefore we expect top dollar service- not road shack service!!
