I recently stayed at a resort that offered a truly luxurious and serene experience. From the moment i arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive and ensured that all my needs were met. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and provided stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The amenities were top-notch, including a beautiful pool, well-equipped fitness center, and a variety of dining options that catered to every taste. The resort's spa was a highlight, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident throughout my stay. Overall, it was the perfect getaway, combining luxury, comfort, and adventure in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a memorable and rejuvenating vacation.
National Park Residency

We booked the hotel for attending a marriage function in ettumanooor. The location is in the middle of the town with all the shops and the famous mahadevar temple is few steps away. The rooms are surprisingly very clean & spacious though the room rent was much less than normal. There is no breakfast available in the hotel, that is the only drawback.
The Zuri Kumarakom Kerala Resort & Spa

This place clearly is past its prime from the looks of it. Our Deluxe Lagoon view room is past its ‘best by’ date. The furniture is fraying, the mirror has big stains, the room had a stink when we checked in, the aircon works only at one setting - 19 degrees. The woodwork has been shoddily repaired, the glass door has turned yellow with grime. The maintenance and upkeep of the property evidently de***ds serious attention. Sadly, when I attempted to show some pictures of the room to the ***agement, it barely caused any concern. I was informed that the extended Covid lockdown - and the tropical climate and moist air, has taken a huge toll on the property. In other words, we really can’t do much! However, supposedly a revamp of the property is underway - doesn’t help us though. While the explanation maybe valid, the nonchalant response was galling and totally unexpected. And any way, why shouldn’t we, as paying guests, expect better? At breakfast this morning, the papaya was un-ripened, the pineapple was overripe and discoloured. And the best. - they couldn’t find decent, fresh and ripe local bananas to serve! At lunch, the Thai green curry was spicy - so spicy and none of us four could eat more than one spoon. We refused to eat it and asked them to take it back. Yet amazingly, it appeared on our bill - no apologies offered. Naturally, we refused to pay for the dish. Quite eventful first 24 hours.
Taj Kumarakom Resort and Spa Kerala

'Wow' and 'Amazing' are inadequate to describe our stay at Taj Kumarkom. Our first point of contact was Priya at the reception - super-helpful and very positive, all our requirements were taken care of in a jiffy…. and with a smile! The property is stunningly beautiful with lots of greenery and canals, the Vembanad Lake and the sound of chirping birds. We stayed in a lagoon facing, well equipped cottage with a private sit-out area and a fantastic view. The room was very comfortable, but I feel the bathroom area could have been better, considering Taj standards. Housekeeping kept the room neat and clean and here I wish to appreciate the efforts of Murugan, amongst others. The 2 restaurants here - Currymeen and Vembanad Bistro serve delicious food and have lots of options. Breakfast was excellent and we were spoilt for choice! Evenings saw us having tea/coffee and snacks at the lake side ”Chaya Kada”. It was always a pleasure chatting with restaurant manager Vipin and getting tips on local areas of interest/ shopping. Neiki, Amal, Suresh and all the restaurant staff were a pleasure to deal with! We all enjoyed our contact with Accommodation Mgr. Mr Vinpugal, be it for kite flying, taking photos or just chatting. My wife and daughter had a relaxing time at the spa. The property has a good pool and well equipped gym, with the ever helpful Vishnu always on hand. Good guy! Another good experience was the houseboat cruise on the lake/backwaters with delicious lunch and tea thrown in. Thanks to Priya for arranging the same. And last but not the least, we really enjoyed our interactions with the genial GM of the hotel, Mayank Mittal. Jovial & super friendly, he was often on hand, be it for recommending some dish on the menu, suggesting nearby places for visiting or just sharing some light-hearted banter and laughter. A perfect resort to relax and unwind!

Vishnu took us on a village tour on e bikes and this was a real highlight of our holiday. We were taken to the local Hindu temple, a local tea shop and a tour of the local area including the paddy fields and canals. We met many friendly locals and had some lovely chats. We saw the Toddy *** in action and sampled the morning toddy collection. Highly recommended; important to get out of the resort compound and see life outside. Our special thanks to Vishnu and Anjana the naturalists. We loved the birdwatching, eco and butterfly tours very much. Anjana hosted us for 2 sunset cruises; absolutely beautiful. Thanks also to Anjitha who welcomed us in as well as waving us off; she is a wonderful and attentive host. Thank you to Sengs and her cleaning team for keeping our villa so clean.
