Hotels near Masjid Ubbudiah Felda Lepar Hilir 03 in Kuantan

We booked a three day two night stay at Mangala January 14-16. The booking was done months in advance. The F&B was excellent as the chef was very personable and the food quality good. The Gym and main pool were also excellent. Unfortunately everything else about our stay was poor. We booked two Vana Villas for our family. Our Villas were next to other villas being renovated which was noisy. In one villa we had a squirrel get into the room twice and leave messes. Also, the aircon wasn't working properly and the fan only worked on high speed even though the remote had three speeds. In the other villa a mouse dropped onto one of our family members. As well their power went out in their unit for the entire night. We discussed the issues with management and they moved our family into an Amani Villa which was an upgrade for our second night. Unfortunately the Villas lost power overnight so we didn't have water in one room, no aircon in one bedroom and the family room didn't have power in one of the aircon units and the lights didn't work. All of our issues both days were worked on by their maintenance staff but they didn't get resolved. We addressed again with the Front Office Manager upon checkout and he offered to provide a free massage which didn't make sense since we were checking out. He then offered a credit on our bill for the price of the massage. I asked him to speak with the GM who was not on property and the GM offered a 5% discount for our troubles. Given that we had issues with all of our rooms and our stay was interrupted multiple times they then offered a 10% discount. For us it wasn't about the money but that a vacation to relax was never accomplished. I wrote an email to the GM after leaving explaining all the issues and never received a response. It was an unfortunate experience as the front line staff were good, service was decent but their GM never took responsibility for the issues. We are never going back as their are better places to go in Malaysia. We had previously gone to the Banjaran Resort and had excellent stays there and wanted to try something similar but Mangala isn't even a close second.

The hotel location very near to Kuantan town and just beside the beach. Recommend to take the ocean/sea view room if you are staying in this hotel. The environment is excellent for vacation with great services from hotel.

The best place to stay in kuantan. They have 2 big swimming pools. Breakfast menu was really great. Will come back for longer stay. Beach fronting. Nice view

Overall value of money... Suggest park car outside the apartment rather than park inside, due to need take time to turn our car to level 3a parking and at night, no light at corridor between parking lot and apartment.. When we walk back to apartment, abit scary. 😂

Each dorm have 8 bunk beds and 3 bathrooms +2 toilets, it was clean and comfortable. 👍👍 However, they didn't have the main card to slot in for electric current system, so one of the guest must have to slot their access card, and when that guest went out and took off the card, the rest of guest must replaced, otherwise all the lights and even air-con cut off immediately!!! 👎👎👎

Had a great stay at AC. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also quite good for the price.all in all a great hotel to stay in kuantan

1. Requested for a non-smoking room during check in, we found some stains on the bed. We tried to call housekeeping to change the bed sheet but the phone was not working. Had to get down to the lobby personally to inform the front desk to request for change of bed sheet. Housekeeping came and ”changed” the bed sheet. We inspected the bed sheet and found the exact same stain at the exact same location. 2. The toilet's door cannot be closed. Frustrated with 3 major issues within 15 minutes , we headed to the lobby and demanded to change our room. Got a smoking room as that was their last available room. 3. Telephone line was not working again, toilet roll was not available. 4. We know this hotel do not provide toothbrush & toothpaste so we brought our own. When we return on the 2nd day, all our toiletries were gone. Housekeeping threw our toiletries WITHOUT our consent when they do NOT provide toiletries. Had to go down to the lobby to make another complaint again (remember the phone was not working?). Front desk promised to send toiletries to our room but it NEVER came. 5. During check out on the 3rd day, the housekeeping saw us and offered to compensate us for disposing our toiletries. As much as I appreciate their effort to own their mistake, this compensation (if ever required) should come from the management and not their staffs for not providing sufficient training and making clear the hotel's policy to their staffs. Overall, I am totally upset and will never return.

Excellent location. Scenic river view. TV channels not as promised. Only 5 to 6 channels available. Staff are friendly but some are inefficient. Only one small shampoo bottle in the bathroom. Need to call to get body wash and soap.

We had 3 rooms and all of them had stained sheets. I had to change rooms 3 times before getting one with proper working air conditioning. The bathroom is tiny and weirdly configured (imagine: the toilet bowl brushes against your legs when standing at the sink, shower door must be open when sitting on the toilet). The furniture is cheap and broken. Limited parking shared between this hotel and Seasons View so it's always full. Parking in front of the shop lots will require hourly coupons imposed by the council. The chime of the lift is so loud you can hear it from the room. For light sleepers like me, it is especially disturbing. The roller blinds is narrow with segmented design so there is light seepage from the sides and through if you don't align it properly. Only good thing was the front desk guy who checked us in. Very helpful and resolved the non-AC issue by letting us check out the 3 adjacent rooms (2 of which also blew hot air). Unfortunately, he was replaced by a night watchman who's kind but clueless manning the counter after 11pm. We asked about parking when we came back after dinner and he couldn't offer much help. Plenty of other options around.

I used to stay in E red hotel when travel to Kuantan. I could not find any other hotel suitable for me. In terms of the location, car park, amenities and surrounding environment. I will stay in this hotel for my next trip to Kuantan.
