Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience

Went on a girls trip touring Kerala and we stayed here - and it did not disappoint. From being picked up at the dock in Kumarkom and taken to the hotel on a boat, to the welcome music and reception upon our arrival - we loved every minute of it. The check-in was easy and fast, and they helped us reserve a houseboat for our afternoon (which we reserved prior to our arrival) to have lunch. It was so convenient because the hotel has a place for the houseboat to pick you up right from the hotel. The rooms are very nice, clean, and we loved staying in our little cottage. The evening entertainment was really nice from a Bharatanatyam performance, to the live music in the restaurant. Loved the array of activities. Yoga, pottery making class, cooking class, and many more - which were all part of your stay at no additional cost. There may have been other things for a cost, but not those activities - which we enjoyed observing and participating in. The absolute best part of this hotel is the Ayurvedic spa. We did the spa in Kochi and in Kovalam - and THIS was the best most authentic Ayurvedic spa treatments. If there is one thing you must do, it's the spa treatment. You will get a consultation with the Ayurvedic dr and they recommend the best treatment(s) for you. Overall - it was wonderful.

Property is maintained well and staffs are too friendly ,and the naturalist was very friendly.The place serene,the Butterfly garden is too nice and the sea foods is okish and the other programs which are in the property is well maintained .

Getting to this lovely resort is via one of it's two boats. You leave from the resorts jetty and cruise for 5 minutes ***** the waterway to the resort. Here you are met by with a very warm welcome indeed. We were given an upgraded room, which had an enclosed outside bathroom. It was so cute, loved it. The resort offered a free sunset cruise on the lake each nice, which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The rooms are amazing, with comfy beds, outdoor showers with a banana tree growing in the shower! The food was delicious with so many options and there were so many activities on offer. Huge shout out to Naveen, the yoga guru. He was so inspiring and so interesting to talk to. What an amazing ***. We also did meditation with him ( not done it before). The scenery is beautiful, the pool was lovely. We went cycling on electric bikes around the local villages, enjoyed the sunset cruise, and we went on a houseboat. I can’t recommend Coconut Lagoon more highly. Sad we had to leave!

I stayed in a villa: there was a sitting room downstairs with an outside bathroom and upstairs a large bedroom with two king sized beds Authetically furnished and beautiful location I would come back here in a heartbeat Extensive Indian and European breakfast. The food in the restaurants were beautifully prepared and delicious

Highly recommend the bird watching with Prateesh the naturalist! Saw a great many species. Incredible knowledge and good humor. Wish I had several more days to take in the nature and beauty with Prateesh as our guide. Hopefully will come back soon.
