Le pire hôtel que j'ai vu !!! Les amateurs de vieux hôtels pourraient apprécier le cadre intérieur car ce fut certainement un hôtel magnifique au siècle passé mais, on déchante très vite ! C'est au moment où on éteint la lumière que le cauchemar commence. L'hôtel est infesté de punaises de lit. Au matin, le réceptionniste me dit d'envoyer un mail à l'adresse de l'hôtel avec les photos prises durant la nuit afin d'obtenir un dédommagement mais, plus d'une semaine est passée et je n'ai jamais eu de réponse... En résumé, cet hôtel est à éviter à tout prix !!!

…..do not stay here. Trust the reviews, they are all true. Only far out on the countryside in Brazil seen something similar. A shame, because the nearest street with the historic wooden houses, is something you could not miss out on. Don’t stay here. Sleep in the car.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel, Friday-Monday, and our room was not once visited by housekeeping. The bathroom was worn, tiny, a bit dirty and lacked towels and soap. We also found a few bugs crawling around. When we asked about the towels, we had to wait for more than an hour before we got 3 for 4 people whereas one was full of holes and the others stained. The divider between the toilet and shower was detached from its tracks, making it a hazard for the kids. Several lamps were out of order, but otherwise the room was ok. As for the rest of the hotel, you could clearly see the need for maintenance all over. Breakfast was plain/basic, lacked selection, but at least ok quality for what you could choose from. I could have given 2 stars max if at least the staff was helpful and accommodating, however that was not the case. They promised housekeeping would stop by after we told them Saturday it was lacking, and Sunday when we got back late evening still nothing. Obviously never coming back unless things change drastically, and writing this review to warn others.

Wir waren zwei Tage dort, das Hotelmwar sehr ruhig aber wir fühlten uns wohl da. Freundliches Personal, sehr hilfsbereit, Zimmer in Ordnung und das Hotel in schöner Lage. Gut für Ausflüge in der Umgebung - Marstrand muss man gesehen haben! - und abendliche Spaziergänge. Die Altstadt ist sehenswert. Wir werden dort wieder Station machen.

The hotel Fars Hatt was a tremendous letdown. We found out why; COVID-19 ruined the business, new owners have not followed up. The lovely spot by the river is in shambles. Very sad! The old traditions linger on in the halls and rooms, more ghostly nowadays. Airy rooms with comfortable beds have not changed much, but up keeping is sorely needed – we did not feel like taking av shower in the morning. And the breakfast was lacking – no wonder with next to no guests. We feel sorry for Kungälv where a pearl is about to get lost.

Avoid this hotel if you value your health. The place is filthy, run down and crawling with rats. management are rarely present and when they are they couldn’t care less. The pool, bar and all amenities are closed with quite some time. The rooms are never serviced, we were on a group booking and stayed for a week. Rooms were never done. Rooms are also tiny, leave your luggage outside situation. The rats are of course the biggest issue but when we informed reception they said they already knew about their problem. Cannot understand how this place is allowed to stay open.

We were in Gothenburg for the night to see Coldplay and all the hotels in and around the city wanted crazy money to stay there. The only reason we stayed at Hotel Fars Hatt was because it was the least bad option in terms of price. But the cost was still way beyond what it should have been for 2 small beds in a tired, dated room which resembled a 1970s hospital. The rest of the hotel was as dated as the room, with decor of different decades in different areas. Wi-Fi was okay in the main areas but struggled in our room. The receptionist was very nice but it took an age to check in, and it was a little bit worrying when she said she needed to check which rooms had been cleaned! Positives: - Breakfast was reasonable enough and in all honesty better than we expected. - Although out of Gothenburg, it’s actually very accessible - the bus runs very regularly and it’s only about 25 mins away. - Fars Hatt looked pretty nice but the weather was awful so we didn’t explore. Overall, over-priced and desperately in need of investment.

Sinceramente El hotel ha mejorado en comparación al año pasado: el wifi funciona en todo el hotel, el desayuno es muy rico y ahora hay el camarero que prepara omelet y crepes al momento , las habitaciones parecen más modernas y han sido restauradas. También toda la parte de la zona común ha mejorado mucho, la zona del biliardo también y el ping pong es nuevo . Volveremos

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel a causa di un cambio programma. Il prezzo e la location a soli 30 minuti dal centro di Goteborg e dai traghetti per raggiungere gli arcipelaghi sono sicuramente aspetti interessanti, ma per quanto riguarda la struttura è stata veramente un'esperienza provante. L'hotel è fatiscente, congelato in un'atmosfera anni 80, la camera puzzava di fumo stantio, la moquette (che regna sovrana) era sporca, una lampada era completamente staccata con fili scoperti, gli asciugamani sporchi e su uno di questi c'erano dei capelli... Le parti comuni non sono da meno. E se internamente risulta da ristrutturare, l'esterno è ancora peggio. I blocchi indipendenti sono decadenti, il cortile interno la sera si popola di strani individui e una piscina vuota e completamente dismessa è protagonista del giardino. Il personale alla reception è visibilmente imbarazzato, conscio del fatto che il cliente ha sicuramente ragione e che le lamentele sollevate corrispondono a reali mancanze della struttura. No comment sul personale addetto alla pulizia e alla sala colazione. Da evitare assolutamente. Ah, all'arrivo hanno il coraggio di chiedere 150 corone al giorno per poter parcheggiare la macchina nel parcheggio riservato all'hotel che, anche se fosse al completo, non sarebbe comunque pieno.
