I truly enjoyed my stay here in Good Nature Hotel Kyoto. Good location in central Kyoto, nice ambience, beautiful & comfortable room and excellent service. The breakfast spread is the best! Anyway, thanks for the anniversary gifts.

Awesome location, direct access to Takashimaya. Very spacious room, great balcony. The staff is extremely helpful. However no toothbrush/toothpaste provided.

Our stay at Good Nature Hotel Kyoto was truly memorable! The location is ideal, just a short walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The service was outstanding—front desk staff even helped us make a dinner reservation since we don’t speak Japanese. We were also impressed by the thoughtful touches, like the tiny indoor shoes they provided for our baby. The hotel’s shower gel, shampoo, and handwash were lovely—natural and refreshing. We loved them so much that we bought some from their grocery store to bring back home! The warm and eco-conscious atmosphere, combined with excellent service, made our stay perfect. Highly recommended for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of nature.

Nice room with great balcony, excellent location for shopping and sightseeing

Very convenient location, walkable distance to most of the tourist spots and main shopping malls. Takashiyama is even right next to the hotel entrance. Room size is unexpectedly spacious and large for such a centrally located hotel based on japan standard. Hotel promotes environmental friendliness and doesn't provide some of the amenities, but they provide thermo bottles, bose speaker, own branded cocoa tea, green tea and coffee drip bags. Highly recommend this hotel.

Best hotel, we hopped around to other top hotels in Kyoto but these guys went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay with them. Location is central next to the restaurant street / river and local buses. The hotel club lounge is nice to have a few free drinks and snacks before dinner, the suite is amazing and has a large wrap around outdoor balcony with privacy walls. Will definitely come back if I visit Kyoto again!

Hotel was at a great location where most attractions are walking distance or can be easily accessed via train. There is an abundance of food surrounding the hotel as well and felt really easy to just walk to bars at night, especially for those that enjoy the night life. It’s only a 7min walk to Gion street. You’ll find everything you need in the hotel room, huge bed and a spacious room for you to unwind after a long day of exploring Kyoto. My only peeve was that the hotel does not provide free dental kits and incurs a charge due to their green policy. I truly think that there’s a bare minimum that needs to be met.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in ever! Absolutely stunning design of hotel from Outside to in, layout, attention to detail, all made from natural materials. Location was great, less than 10 min taxi to Kyoto Station, handy for the rainy days we had and heavy suitcases too! There’s even a shop downstairs selling their own brands, unfortunately we didn’t have the time to check it out, but from trying their teas in the room provided, I can tell their products are great! Staff were polite and very helpful. We were even upgraded to a room with a balcony! What a treat. Will absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!

Room was quite big. Honestly it was quite hard to find a hotel that supported 3 in a room. One of the biggest hotel during my stay in Japan. Loved the service but note they don’t provide things like combs and toothbrushes as they’re trying to be environmentally friendly. Great location.

We love the location of this hotel. It’s right in the center of the Main Street. Walking distance to shop and eat. Lots of high rating restaurants nearby. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean & spacious compared to other hotels in Japan especially the ones located in the city. It would be more convenience for guests if hotel can offer amenities at lobby or upon request for free. Overall we all love it and will definitely come back in the future

This was my first trip to Kyoto and there are many options for hotels. I was having trouble deciding exactly where but Good Nature turned out to be an excellent choice because: 1. It's right downtown - a few minutes walk to two subway stops - you'll use the subway to get to good attractions like Inari, Nara, Kiyomizu 2. you are also within walking distance to Pontocho, Gion, Nishiki markets 3. There were 3 of us so we had 3 individual beds - in a standard room and despite this being 28m2 the layout of the room is very good. Of course, if you want the deluxe room it's much bigger but it will cost a lot more 4. Managed to score a trip.com 36% discount (for 5 nights) which was a no-brainer (we just got the room only) - pay for buffet breakfast if you must (plenty of Starbucks around if that's your thing) - I did book the first night separately direct through the hotel website though as the trip.com offer didn't extend for 6 nights 5. The room was very clean, the staff were very friendly and explained everything. 6. Buffet breakfast was a good selection of Western and Asian choices. The restaurant was very clean. The prosciutto was amazing!
