This hotel is incredible ! It’s brand new, rooms are very upmarket, great facilities, quality of food (breakfast needs to be experienced to be believed), gym was excellent but it is the service that is absolutely mind blowing ! We haven’t experienced anything like it decades ! The check in experience was first class, room service first class and the concierge managed to surprise us every single day - running after us with umbrellas, chasing down taxi’s in the rain, big smiles every day and they were all really nice to our 5 Year old daughter (and it was genuine) ! So, we left our passports in the room safe by mistake - they called as soon as they found them (by which time we were in Tokyo) - the hotel manager, Kiyoshi Gomamoto sent one of their staff (Kokoro) to Tokyo hi hand deliver/return our passports to us, she was a lovely lady ! We are so appreciative and will cherish the memories from this hotel ! Thank you Kokoro, Kiyoshi and everyone at Fauchon. Highly recommended !

Don't know why but I fell in love with this hotel. Modern, clean, always with good music and smell, well furnished with wood, concrete, and plants, with a lovely bakery at the entrance, and a fantastic restaurant serving a delicious and abundant breakfast. The room was very well modernly furnished. They offer you many experiences, and even an electric bike to visit Kyoto (that I really enjoyed). The staff was very friendly, even if sometimes it was struggling to talk due to poor English knowledge. It is very close to Higashiyama and Gion, which you can reach by walking 15-20'. The rooftop bar serves excellent cocktails. Additionally, the price is low for the service and the quality offered! FANTASTIC!

On one hand, it’s a gorgeous hotel with incredible, professional and helpful staff. Very comfortable accommodation (we booked the suite; room 401) with high spec finishing and serious eye to detail. All mod cons, first class shower/ toiletries and a bed you don’t want to leave. There’s a library on 3rd floor with Nintendo memorabilia and a well stocked whisky bar with a little outside space - very relaxing. On the other hand, the location isn’t great. Whilst only 1.6km from the action, you REALLY notice it, mainly due to one factor, food. A) there is no room service. B) there are literally 2-3 restaurants in a 7 minute walking distance (2 of which we went to and left after a drink). C) limited food at the hotel and at set times. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all need to be pre-booked (if not part of your room cost). All are set menus i.e. you have no choice. You get what your given with a decent price tag. We tried breakfast on our last morning and whilst the quality was good, it really wasn’t to our taste. The lounge has snacks but it’s literally that; cheese, ham, chocolate or cake. So if food and location are not top on your priority list, this is a strong 4*, maybe even a 5* hotel and experience. If they are though, overall it’s probably closer to a 3* experience and therefore, you question the value for money. Again, the staff were excellent and one of the highlights of our stay.

Beautiful design hotel in the Gion area. Peaceful at night. Clean and Wider room with amenities provided. Ensuite bathroom in each room. Public bath also available. Helpful and friendly staffs. They are good in English as well. Great service. The location is good. Many many attractions are in walking distance from the hotel. Parcel shipping like yamato is able to do so. Luggage scale also provided at the lobby. Hotel parking just opposite to the hotel building and recommend to note with the hotel in advance. Nice stay in Kyoto!

This time, this inn was very grateful because the nearby rokuharami Ji Temple was the purpose.

The hotel was as new, modern, clean and clean. Excellent facilities. Breakfast was typical Japanese/Eastern, but varied and complete (worked from 7 to 9 hours). The room was spacious enough, good for the Japanese standards, the bathroom was a little tight, the location was excellent, just next to Kiyomizu Gojo train station and 15min walk from the Gojo metro station. The old Gion neighborhood was 5min walk and the moving streets of Kawaramachi about 20. We felt that we were in the perfect place to meet Kyoto for the first time. The only reason for the location is that it is even sticked to one of the most important and most moving streets of the city, because the noise of cars and buses is constant overnight and day.

Great brand new hotel with amazing location. The underground train to literally everywhere is just outside . The historical places are all within walking distance from the Property . The hotel is really brand new with amazing Design and Service . The rooms are big enough even for 3 people . Breakfast is awesome , food quality excellent . The Public bath is amazing . Kudos to all the team for exceptional service , especially to the Italian man at the reception and the girl by the name Niseko. Verdict : we will be back and recommend it to all our friends

Let's go out first. I've come here for the second time, within the same year. But the last round came in April. So I can reiterate my confidence 100%. Location - Very good, right at the red light intersection. There is a bus stop passing in front of the hotel. Walk a bit, there's a 7-Eleven. There is a shop that sells delicious food at very cheap prices. Not far from Nam Sai Temple. Taking a taxi costs about 800-900 yen. If you walk about 20 minutes, it's about 1 kilometer. We're adventurous, so we have to walk right away. The weather is good, looking at the city, looking at nature, chilling. (Walking, but I'm going to take a taxi, haha.) Walk to Nishiki market for about 15 minutes, looking for something to eat. And there are many brand-name shopping areas to see. Shopping lovers will definitely like it. serve - Very good service. Friendly staff Use simple English to communicate very well. I like this. The hotel allows check-in at 3:00 p.m. according to the regulations set forth, but we and our family arrived about 2 hours earlier. The hotel allowed us to check in early without having to pay any fees at all. Very happy and cute. Maybe it's because we came to stay again or not so they gave us this extra, I don't know. But we planned to leave our bags and go on a trip first. But I was able to go into the room and collect my bags first. I really liked it. 🥰🤘 Cleanliness - The hotel here is very clean from the front of the hotel to the elevator lobby and inside the room. There is no dust at all. My child is very allergic to dust. If there's a lot of dust, people will immediately squirm and have snot. But the second time I stayed here, I didn't have any allergies at all. Considered excellent in cleanliness. facilities - This point is the highlight of this place in terms of facilities because there will be free onsen that can be used separately for men and women. It was a comfortable room with simple and necessary things. The roll curtain and bed cover in the room are different for each room, so I look forward to what room it will be every time. Amenities are in the lobby so it is a style to bring what you need. There is no bathtub and only shower. The coffee in the lobby is free at your favorite timing. I can read manga freely, so I was able to spend a leisurely time reading cartoons and working remotely in the lobby.

The location is very convenient, suitable for going to Kiyomizu Temple early in the morning. Service: Hotel operation is very cost-effective. Seikoro is a full-service, first class traditional ryokan. However, there is a language/cultural barrier, so I think I would've enjoyed my experience even better if I understood everything. I think I could've been pampered even more. Also, I'm not used to being pampered in the first place. I always felt out of place when people try to help me. Anyways, on this visit, I tried to go with the flow as much as possible. I had certain expectations prior to this visit due to watching Japanese television dramas based in ryokan. From the moment I stepped out from my taxi to checking out, my experience was everything like I expected. The staff was very attentive. From forming a line and greeting me when I entered and the staff salutation when I left. They really made an effort on first and last impressions. The food was delicious. The in-room multi-course kaiseki banquet for dinner and Japanese breakfast were scrumptious. However, the dinner was probably the worse part of the experience. Each dish is presented in a specific order and timing. As a solo traveler, the slow pace was frustrating; therefore, I think it's best to have a meal companion. The pacing was expected and normal. The pacing is part of the full-service experience where your room attendant brings your meal one dish at a time. This is different from lower cost ryokans where the food is either brought to you all at once or you eat in a common dining hall. The ryokan has been in business (iirc) over a hundred years and it's run by the same family. The common areas feel like a family home and you are a guest in their home. I don't remember if there is a curfew. I walked around Gion until 10:00. When I returned, the front door was unlocked and a gentleman helped me with my shoes. I took a bath at about 10:30 and I didn't see anyone walking around. In summary, I wanted to experience a traditional ryokan and I believe I received what I wanted. Thank you.
