Kyoto Shimogyo Ward 3-star Hotels

It was a comfortable room with simple and necessary things. The roll curtain and bed cover in the room are different for each room, so I look forward to what room it will be every time. Amenities are in the lobby so it is a style to bring what you need. There is no bathtub and only shower. The coffee in the lobby is free at your favorite timing. I can read manga freely, so I was able to spend a leisurely time reading cartoons and working remotely in the lobby.

We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. Having lived in Kyoto for a long time, this was our first time to stay in a hotel and would recommend it for sure.

It is located at the entrance of Buddhist temple street for about 4 minutes walk from Shijo Kawaramachi. In the cheap version of the Washington Hotel, there is no public bathhouse that cuts the service to the edge and is popular in business hotels. The room size, facilities, etc. are standard for business hotels. Bedding, toothbrushes and razors are received at the front desk. However, the quality of razors was bad and the skin was cut. It is a pity that the lighting in the room is white fluorescent color and it is cold 々 impression. This wants to improve. Check out only puts the card into the machine. Not long after the opening, the building is beautiful overall. However, I think the hair remains on the bus and the cleaning is one now. Breakfast with free is a minimum set of several kinds of warm bread and cup soup, coffee and juice. Coffee had a cup service that could be drunk in the room. The breakfast venue is on the first floor. It is not delicious, but the number of items is sufficiently satisfactory. In addition to celery, there are fish, salad, curry, bread, yogurt, boiled *, raw *, milk, orange juice, etc. The staff is always on the tour and there is no way to go on the way. Packs are prepared at the entrance so you can eat in the room. The business hours are from 6:30 to 9:00. It is a breakfast ticket system. The price is \ 800 -. The public bath is also on the first floor, and the business hours are from 16:00 to 24:00 and 6:00 to 9:00. Be careful because the end time is the same as the breakfast venue. The open-air bath in Tsubo garden is broken from September 1, 2021 and cannot be used. In addition to sightseeing, it is a wide range of customers with business use and family. The age group is also wide. Check out is smooth because it is a pre-adjustment system. Check out time is 10 o'clock. Above all, I think it is the strongest advantage that it is in the center of Kyoto. It is a hotel that I want to stay many times. Parking is 3 in front of the hotel.

Gorgeous and sleek hotel all in black, beautiful communal lounge and state of the art kitchen ( and laundry) Unique and stunning lobby with relaxing library and couches - you can make a tea in the kitchen and take it to the library. A huge art book in reception to ponder, an inclusive environment for guests. Not far from the station, staff are great, rooms a little small but beds are very comfortable. The only disappointment was that the bar only serves gin, some whiskey and some beer. So if you want wine or vodka ( or anything else) you have to go elsewhere. This was a shame as we really wanted to enjoy the ambience.

It was my first time using it. I walked from the station. It was hard to find the place, so I found it by the sign of the cafe next door. I was asked to store my luggage before check-in. There is also a large public bath and the breakfast is hearty and delicious ❤️ Breakfast coffee is recommended. The room is also compact, but I felt the ingenuity in the details. There is only a shower booth, but the shower head is large and easy to use. Wind of dryer was strong, too and dried immediately. The receptionist was also kind and had a nice smile. In addition, we want to use. I found a cafe attached to Kiyomizu Temple.

We stayed for 5 nights at Richmond Premier Kyoto Shijo. The hotel has a clean zen-like modern look. Location-wise, it is at the quieter side of Shijo, the east side, which is closer to the Hankyu Karasuma station. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Shijo central where Daimaru is- this may or may not appeal to you. Some pros and cons: Pros- Affordable room rates Big rooms Complimentary drinks (not alcoholic) for guests from 1-8pm everyday at the breakfast area. Laundromat with 6 washer-dryer machines Self serve amenities at the elevator at night Helpful hotel staff Cons- Aircon/heater doesn’t balance right between heating and cooling resulting in uncomfortable, dry, cold temperatures at times Walls are a little thinner so a noisy neighbor above or next room can be heard Overall, we had a good stay.

Super cool! The service attitude is first-rate. When I learned that I was sick, I took the initiative to contact the doctor, contact the car, get me medicine and ice cubes, and even contact the next hotel to ask if I can check in earlier. The room is very warm and clean, you can drink tea and read books, very quiet! The location is also good, there is a temple opposite, good, good, recommended!

We booked 4 rooms cos there were 8 of us including our 85 year-old mum travelling with us. Our stay was during peak season. Appreciated very much to allow us an earlier check-in for one of the rooms booked. That was important especially with our elderly mum with us. The supermarket nearby made it very convenient for us to stay in some evenings when it was too cold or too tired for some of us to go out again looking for dinners. Ms Mariko was very prompt with the responses to my querries before arrival. Ms Chika attended to us when we first arrived and so pleasantly welcoming us and attended very efficiently to our needs. Thank you both for making our stay very memorable at kyoto. Location was convenient enough and rooms were very comfortable with laundry facilities provided. Am so glad we found this place during our accommodation search for our family holiday.

Very helpful and happy people working there, showing things in details, and a woman even offering me her privat train ticket for me to travel to Kyoto, what a kind and nice lady! The rooms are beautiful, big showers and even use the same tiles I just renovated my own place with at home in Norway. So very modern rooms and I would defiantly stay here again and recommend it to others. Just very comfortable in every way.
