Launceston Hotels with Bars

Some of the front desk staffs look very young (seemed like students doing part time), but ALL are helpful, regardless of age and gender. The room is very spacious and the beds + pillow are super comfy! I love the organic shampoo and shower gel provided!! We didn’t rent a car, but booked a few day tour, hence we’re happy to see a drop off area at the hotel.

Well located property in the hear of Launceston CBD. Rooms are comfortable, simple but dated. Some lower floors have older bathrooms which have shower head and bathtub overdue for repair, but higher floors have new bathrooms which are nicer and more comfortable. Close to attractions- A must visit is the Cataract Gorge site located a short drive just outside Launceston CBD. Car parking on site which is convenient.

It is a motel type. I booked a hotel randomly because I had to fly out the next morning. The hotel is relatively old and has few facilities, but it has a basic refrigerator and hair dryer. The location is in the center of the city. There are many coffee shops and restaurants around. It is less than 20 minutes' drive from the airport, so it is very convenient for traveling and eating. As a transit hotel, it can meet the needs. We booked a quadruple room because of the large number of people. The room is large enough and suitable for families traveling with children.

Double bed room, each bed is really small. The point is, the room is really small, the bathroom is big but the shower is small, the layout is a bit strange. The room is dimly lit and the air conditioner is not very powerful. The service attitude is very good, and they actively help solve the parking problem. The location is also very good, 500 meters away from the supermarket

WiFi is good, kitchen facilities are good, room soundproofing is poor, door locks are old-fashioned, if you lose your key, you will be fined 50 Australian dollars. The two-bedroom room requires a long staircase to reach, there is no ramp. After entering the door, you need to go down several steps to the living room, and the bedroom is on the second floor, which also requires climbing stairs. It is not friendly to older people or people with poor legs and feet.

The location of the hotel is very ideal, the environment is quiet but because it is close to the coastal pier, it is also unique and lively, not to mention the beautiful scenery! The person in charge of the front desk, Miss Jade, deserves a lot of praise. In addition to her warm and friendly attitude, she only rented two rooms when she found out that we were traveling as a family, so she upgraded our room to a connecting suite! Let us live together and communicate and take care of each other easily! The room is certainly neat and well-equipped! In addition, knowing that we were driving to the hotel, they specially arranged a parking space for us, which was really considerate! You feel right at home!

The opposite of the hotel is very convenient for the big city. The room is fresh and tidy. The restaurant downstairs is very good, there is a drink. The biggest drawback is that the room is on the main road, very noisy, not sleeping well.

An average hotel for a short stay, offered a good rate at time of booking. I thought the location was close to the city but apparently it’s at the end/top of Brisbane street and a good distance to walk to the CBD

The rooms are large, all of them are suites, there is the hotel's own restaurant downstairs, connected to the parking garage, a parking fee of $ 8 a day, the location is in the urban area, the city itself is not large, basically can be walked, it is recommended to stay

As a solo traveller just spending one night in Launceston, The Star Hotel was the ideal choice. It is centrally located and street parking was easy to find and free between 17.30 and 09.00 next day. The room itself was compact but comfortable with an ensuite. The friendly, efficient female staff member was able to help with local advice and when I decided to have dinner later, the food and service were exceptional. Three see a couple of stair cases to negotiate but really no trouble. This place was a highlight of my travel in Tasmania.
