We stayed here over the Christmas period whilst over from Portugal for a surprise visit. I just want to start with saying the staff were brilliant during our stay especially Josh he went the extra mile to help us in any way he could , thank you Josh. My husband is disabled, we booked an accessible room for this reason however I have to say these rooms really are not disabled friendly, let me start with the bathroom, anyone who uses a wheelchair will have extreme difficulty getting into the shower, the shower is over the bath , yes there are grab rails however they are all in the wrong place, there is no seat across the bath which would be a help. My husband had great difficulty getting a shower whilst we were there, people need their dignity and there was certainly no dignity for my husband trying to shower. The bed is low which again makes it difficult as when you put your weight onto the mattress your hands sink into the mattress making it even lower, my husband had to roll out of bed onto his hands and knees then drag himself up using his crutches again very undignified for him. The restaurant and bar area of the hotel are ok, we ate in the restaurant whilst there a few times and the food was good, quick and friendly service too.
