Found the perfect getaway within easy driving distance of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. I really needed a break without the hassle of dealing with an airport. Although I have lived in the DC area for more than 30 years, I never had been to Lansdowne. I stopped by the front desk with no expectation of my room being available since I arrived quite early for a spa appointment. Not only was my room ready, but I had been upgraded to a spectacular suite. I could write paragraphs about how nicely decorated it was and how comfortable it was, not to mention the 2 Samsung flatscreen tvs and the view of the golf course., but you get the idea. It was luxurious and quiet. I truly felt like a queen! I then headed to Spa Minerale where I had a fabulous signature facial, which included a super relaxing upper back, neck and arm massage. The products were organic and perfect for my sensitive skin. I also enjoyed a bit of time in the steam room and whirlpool. It was only my first day at Lansdowne and already I felt the stress melting away. I returned to Spa Minerale the following day and had a fantastic hot stone massage. It may have been the best massage I have ever had. My aches and pains disappeared! EVERY hotel and spa employee provided exceptional service and was pleasant. I left rested and restored and scratching my head that I never had been to Lansdowne before. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

The room was impeccably clean. The entire resort was top notch! The view from our room was simply breathtaking and we had the opportunity to spend time in one of the penthouse suites. We look forward to returning when we are back in the area. Shoutout to Cathleen! Her friendly smile made our day!

The bed was amazing and housekeeping was soooo responsive. Loveeed this place. The bells men outstanding, the property was very well maintained and there is plenty of room to have a great cigars and a glass of Bourbon. I enjoyed my stay completely.

Our room would not cool below 70° … and mostly stayed at 74°. Very uncomfortable for sleeping. Requested it to be serviced THREE times. Someone did come once and said it was working. It wasn’t. Asked front desk for fan. They said they would bring one. They didn’t. Also killed 3 spiders in our room. Needless to say … sleepless nights!

The hospitality was exceptional, and the property views were breathtaking. However, the poolside dining experience was disappointing. I recommend enhancing the culinary options poolside and throughout the property. As well as offering more kid friendly options.

The resort itself and the grounds are great. I think you need a better restaurant associated with the facility. I also prefer to have my room serviced every day which did not happen. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy the spa and pool. Staff is very curious. My check in was appropriate but had to wait for someone from Valet to show up, and no smiles at the desk.

My family and I visited the resort for the first time and we had an amazing experience. The fireworks were spectacular. They had something for everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quick weekend trip. We will be back. AureH
