Hotels near Square du Théâtre du Garde Chasse in Les Lilas

I had a pleasant stay. The receptionists were very helpful. The bed was comfortable. I wanted a firm mattress and received one. The shower functioned well. The room was very compact, with a small desk and chair. Plus an open rail by the side of the bed. Do be sure to have all your toiletries as there wasn’t any in the bathroom. But maybe they have some available at the reception. There was just one large body towel, no hand towel in the bathroom. I wasn’t surprised though as after all the hotel is listed as a two star accommodation. The entrance door to the room I was in, would not open with the code on one occasion, which delayed me checking out. The foyer is relaxing. The vending machine was useful for snacks and drinks. Although I didn’t use it, some may find it useful to know that the hotel has a link with an Uber-type food delivery service from what I could tell. NB! If you are planning to walk from the area of Parc de la Villette then you would be better off taking the metro instead from Porte de Pantin, as otherwise it is a very long uphill walk. I liked the area and found some decent eateries. If I had more time, I would have visited the large cinema which was in close proximity. A nice, comfortable stay.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Quartier très agréable, appartements très fonctionnels, emplacement parfait proche métro et rue très calme, tous commerces à proximité. Et surtout accueil formidable avec Amanda qui est aux petits soins pour vous avec son magnifique sourire. Je recommande cet établissement pour l’emplacement, pour son rapport qualité prix imbattable, ainsi que pour les prestations offertes dans les appartements. Quelques hics sur la propreté me font mettre une note de 4 au lieu de 5 mais qui ne m’empêcheront absolument pas d’y retourner.

At the end of a long road trip in Europe, the Jardins de Montmartre was the perfect hotel for two brothers. The unique room provided each of us with our own bathroom, our individual very large twin bed, separate televisions, and a door separating our two half-rooms. A little privacy after a lot of time living closely!.. The room also had a coffee/tea maker and a safe. Moving-around space was a bit limited but not a big issue. The bathrooms both had very large showers with ample hot water from the rain-forest fitting. Excellent views of the street from one bedroom and from one shower!.  The front desk was manned 24/7 and can provide wake up calls. The beds were very comfortable with like-new linens. The hotel is located near two Metro lines and near many cafes and restaurants. Our very special room was replicated on at least two other floors. I wholeheartedly recomend the hotel to any set of travellers who want a great place to share but with some individual services. 

We booked this hotel in advance as part of our journey home from holiday for a few days to show the kids Paris. Admittedly i thought I booked closer to the centre of Paris. Booked a family room. Arrived..area wasn’t my vision of Paris and the room i booked was no longer avail due to renovations…we only found out upon arrival. However the staff were amazing at ensuring our stay went smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to rectify the issue. At no stage was anything a problem. Some of the best customer service I’ve encountered and the staff are a real credit to the Hotel. Area outside was probably more the ‘real’ Paris rather than the romantic version .You wouldn’t walk alone in the dark! . However location after got my head around everything was actually great. Felt safer here than i did around some of the tourist spots! Metro is literally yards across the road and you were in the heart of Paris in no time. We used the underground as its the best and cheapest way to get around the city. Highly recommend and we zipped around the city and got to see alot in 48 hours. Don’t be put off by other people’s reviews. No city hotel is perfect but the team here take pride in thier jobs. Accommodation is clean, modern. Car park is mega handy…albeit a tight and small underground one.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very centrally located, just a stones throw away from the Metro. We enjoyed an amazing view too. The pictures don't do the hotel justice. My only gripe is that instead of supplying proper shower gel/bodywash they just give tidy 10ml packets. We were 2 people staying for 2 nights and this just simply wasn't enough. Housekeeping did not replenish them.

This comfortable and beautiful hostel is so near the Bercy Bus and Train station. You can go the city center and all tourists places via metro, buses in a very short time. There are several good restaurants and cafes near the hostel to eat or have a drink. The room stayed was so clean and comfortable. It also had a balcony. The staff are so kind, understanding,smiled-face and helpful people. I thank them all. If you want to visit Paris for a couple of days as a solo traveller like me, this beautiful, peaceful and safe hostel is a great place for you. I strongly recommend it.

I had a really good stay here. The other travellers were really friendly. I felt very safe. We hardly bumped into each other in our rooms due to everybody waking and sleeping at different times, but they were respectful in the morning and nights. The rooms were big and the beds were huge! The shared bathrooms were really clean and modern and the showers were really hot (or cold). It was mostly all students staying here or young people, however I did come across a few older people staying, one in my room. Lots of languages are spoken here. Lots of french mainly. I am English. There was also a Spanish speaking guy in my room, and a guy from Thailand. I stayed for three nights. The first time in a 6 bed female dorm and the last two in an 8 bed mixed room. Everybody is super friendly. The staff are friendly, there's lots of them. And there is big spaces with tables to study or eat and chat with each other.

The location is unbeatable as far as distance from many historic attractions. For the price of the room ($700) it is quite expensive as the room is simple, as are the amenities. Most of the hotel staff were friendly. Check in and check out went smoothly. When I went to ask about a power adapter, the person I spoke to was short and rude with me. My partner is French and everyone was more friendly with him and willing to help.

Nice, stylish, clean hotel. Reception staff very competent. Breakfast staff overwhelmed by a normal number of people in the restaurant. There was only one coffee machine that was constantly not working and not enough viennoisseries for breakfast. When I mentioned that the orange juicer wasn't working, the staff member replied ”it isn't?” and then did nothing about it. The breakfast experience let the rest (which was excellet) down.
