We very much enjoyed our stay at the Listen Deer Inn. The location is very convenient - only 5 mins walk from a car drop-off. Note that cars can’s enter the ancient town. As pleasant as wandering in the town is, it’s not easy to drag luggages for long distance.
The courtyard is accessed from a semi-busy path yet tucked away so it’s very quiet and peaceful. There are various outdoor sitting areas in the courtyard and on the second level balcony and patios. A roof deck provides amazing views to the mountains and the town - a great place to see sunrise and sunset as well.
The room is very clean, comfortable and tasteful decorated. There is a shared living/dining area on the ground level where the owner kindly served tea to us.
The owner was very kind and helpful, making sure we had everything we need and giving good advice on places to visit and restaurants. She has two very cute cats. And she was very sensitive and made sure we feel comfortable to be near them. My kids ended up having great fun with the kitties.
I would definitely recommend the Inn to whoever interested in visiting Lijiang. You will love it just as we did.

Hotel located in Lijiang Old Town. There is a short path walk from hotel to main road but it’s located on the hillside. The way you walk up, you may need to take some rest to breathe 😁
We are a big family with 7 luggage cause we weren’t aware of the hillside location but the hotel help us carry all the luggage to the room. You just walk with them.
The host is very nice. It was my mom’s birthday on the arrival they. She served us the fortune noodles for birthday complimentary 🙏
We booked 3 beds-room. The room is spacious and in the living room has little stove for boiling hot water and a dining table.
Housekeeping cleaned the room and filled out the amenities for us everyday.
We also book tour and airport pickup/drop off with the host. They are very nice and willing to help us everything we asked for.
But if you book a tour with them, ask them not to book with 星星. We asked him to drop us where we can walk shortly (the host even helped calling him) but he ignored our request and the lunch is bad. It’s not the host’s fault. We understand all the situation and didn’t blame the host at all.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone to visit and if we have a chance to visit Lijiang again, this hotel will be our shortlist 😊

We are very happy with our stay at Lijiang Anly Private Soup Hotel. It is located at the heart of the Old City and is surrounded by various small shops with local goods. The rooms are clean and cosy. The terrace gives fantastic panoramic view to the Old City of Lijiang. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10, and it is good. We are especially thankful to the hotel stuff, because they helped us with everything. They met us at the airport, helped us to organize the trip to the mountains and to rent a car. We highly recommend the hotel!

Had an extremely wonderful and relaxing stay here during our trip to Lijiang. Conveniently located just beside the old town, the area is not noisy which is good for us light sleepers, while being within a walking distance to most of the sights around the old town. Also it means you dont have to torture your luggage (and yourself) by dragging it over the cobblestoned alleys within the old town itself.
The room is spacious, clean, well maintained and equipped with all the amenities you need including hair dryer and toilet with seat warmer and automatic bidet.
Tom speaks very fluent English and is super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed: from recommendation on what to do/eat, transport from airport, arranging meals and tea, packing our breakfast on the day we had to leave early. We also had a package delivered and Tom helped to receive it as we were outside during that time. Thanks Tom for making our stay here a memorable one! would love to come back for sure.

The hotel has a train station pick-up service, and the boss picked us up in person. The hotel room was also very clean, with new towels and daily necessities every day. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.
There is a restaurant next door and a supermarket nearby. It is also close to the train station. There is bus No. 18 that goes directly to the ancient city. We can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room we stayed in. My wife dropped her phone downstairs while taking pictures of the snow mountain. The boss was very good and helped us find it back.

Very good service and hospitality! Liaised with the owners via WeChat and they warmly welcomed us and picked us from the car park, so we did not have to drag our luggages on the cobbled streets. It was a very short 2 minute walk to the hotel from the car park, and the hotel was at a good location to explore the other sights in Lijiang old town as well. You can enjoy tea with the owners and the stay also came with a good, hearty breakfast. There was also a nice patio Rooms were clean. Really enjoyed my stay :) Would recommend!

TthewandercuratorAs international travellers who don't speak Chinese well, our first experience of Lijiang was made wonderful thanks to our decision to stay at Dublin Inn. Of all the hotels we stayed in throughout our trip, Dublin Inn offered an experience that rivals five-star hotels. First of all, its location outside the North entrance is perfect for those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet after a busy day of exploring Lijiang Ancient Town. It is also a 5-7 minute pleasant walk along the river to the Black Dragon Pond scenic area. We enjoyed free airport pick up and free room upgrade (although we noticed that all their rooms featured five-star comfort and thoughtful touches for travellers). Our suite on the third floor had his and hers sinks, a separate bathtub and rain shower, an electronic bidet toilet, a designer hair dryer, and Perricone MD toiletries. We enjoyed daily in-room minibar, traditional semi-buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and evening dessert treats in the inn's cafe and reading lounge, chatting with fellow travellers. We also loved the tranquil stone garden courtyard with its misty Koi pond. What stood out the most for us were the hospitable Inn staff: we were warmly greeted like old friends over Yunnan Pu'erh tea tasting and rose flower cakes by the reception lady and butler Xiao Hai (小海). Even before we arrive, the Inn staff proactively contacted us via Weixin chat to confirm airport pick up, our meal dietary requirements and to offer information help for travel planning. Throughout our stay, they kept in touch with us through Weixin for daily meal services, housekeeping, evening turndown services and hotel activities like aromatherapy candle making. Butler Xiao Hai was especially friendly and sincere in his interaction with guests. He offered free old town guided visits, arranged Lijiang daytrips and chartered a great driver at reasonable cost for our onward travel to Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La City. He would stop to ask how our day went and gave insider tips for sightseeing and shopping. We highly recommend Dublin Inn to international travellers who want to experience Lijiang on a more intimate level. We only hope we can return soon to the warmth and hospitality of the Inn. The public area on the second floor is large and comfortable. Watching the patter of rain is like a cleansing of the soul, and it is especially suitable for daze. We arrived at 1:30, ordered lunch in advance, and the food was quite satisfactory. The girl in the store who wears glasses is very attentive, considerate and considerate! HheakyIf I had to pick the three most impressive things during my five-day trip to Lijiang, the most memorable ones would be the Tiger Gorge, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the relaxation in the old city I experienced while staying at this hotel.
The hotel owner was so kind that he went out of his way to solve all the big and small problems we had while traveling in Goseong because we were foreigners and were not good at speaking, such as not being able to pay with Alipay or calling DiDi. He was also well-versed in tea ceremony, so he provided us with a variety of teas such as pu-erh tea and black tea. Tea was served to me several times.
The hotel is located within Goseong and is close to the entrance, making it convenient. There are many famous restaurants in Goseong right nearby, and there is a night market right behind it, so you can experience a variety of food.
All facilities are well-organized and very clean. It seems to have been designed based on a traditional Chinese house, but the interior is all modern, with lights, TVs, and even curtains that can be operated by voice.
The breakfast was home-cooked and served in a variety of ways, so I think it was much better than going out and buying it.
Lijiang is a very famous city, so there are many big 5-star hotels, but I think it is a much more comfortable hotel than the big chain hotels. The price is much cheaper though.
Anyway, this is a highly recommended hotel. 5 stars are not enough!!

once you get that place, you might be noticed that this hostel is a bit far from Lijiang old town
but trust me, you will not like Lijiang old town
it is too commercialized to feel the Nasi culture, and literally you will be in the middle of human waves, especially at night(cuz night food market is just next to it)
Whilst this hostel is located nearest Suhe old town
around 2 min away by foot
if gate keeper ask you to pay entrance fare ( I never been asked)
just take a detour, you don't need to pay
also, baisha old town is also close, 10 RMB by taxi
hostel owner Willy ( not sure about spelling)
he speaks very good English, if you have any questions, he's willing to help you
also other staffs are very friendly and nice👍
even there's two cutest cats! ( just if you have cat allergy, be aware of them, they only stay inside of reception room )
the other things you should know is, if you want to visit Jade dragon snow mountain by public transportation such as bus 🚌, you need to take another bus( bus station is just in front of hostel ) to chongyi market ( better need to take the bus here rather than other stations ), and the first bus of the day departs around 8:50 from hostel side
so if you want to see earliest Jade dragon mountain, you better need to book an tour program or take 7 persons mini van or Taxi
second thing is, I was in the 10 person's dorm
and the shower room is inside of dorm, room condition is not 100% perfect, apart from your bed, so if you are the one that cannot sleep easily, maybe not a good choice for you, plus around 8 am, the town has a bit loud sound of Nasi style Azan songs, I woke up by that Azan sound 1 ~ 2 times
but all the same, if i have a nice chance, I would comeback to this hostel, probably for long term stay in the future with my partner

GGuest UserWe thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at Another Residence. From the free airport pickup/dropoff to the tea tastings and staff who go above and beyond. The location is right in the heart of Shuhe old Town and our Garden room was cozy and very peaceful. The room was rustic, large and clean and we spent large parts of the day simply chilling here. There is even a dedicated tea drinking area in the room to try puer tea daily. The island bar/cafe is a beautiful setting to have breakfast or an afternoon tea by the water. There are also multiple places indoor and outdoor to brew up tea provided by the residence. We were left alone to do as we pleased but any questions were answered immediately- such as ways to find the old tea horse path. We travelled as a couple but this is a great place for groups or families wanting to soak in this peaceful environment. Hopefully we can come back soon!

WWaltersThe hotel is a little away from the old town (about 20 mins drive), but it is near the exit from the highway, for those driving in. The area is still under construction, so lacks charm. The first impression of the lobby also does not give off a very classy vibe. It is an enormous hanger with lots of stuff dotted around, and no clear flow. There is also a crappy tea shop shoved into the corner that looks like it is taken from a cheap, regional Chinese airport. So not the greatest check in impressions.
The hotel is really new, so the corridors and rooms are in great shape, and well up to standard for the money. We were also able to pay 138 RMB each for the full dinner buffet in the exec lounge, which was delicious, and had a great range of foods.
Good view of Yulong snow mountain from the hotel too.
There are some rough around the edges parts in common areas, but the hotel parts are very nice, and recommended.

GGuest UserIt was an excellent and relaxing trip. the Boutique Inn where I stayed for 8 days was fantastic; the owner was very helpful and helped me to arrange local attractions. he also ensured that I was safe since I was alone travelling to Lijiang. The Inn where I stayed was very safe and the people were very friendly. I will book the same Inn to stay again next year as I have plans to visit Shangalila. Yunnan is such a zen, relaxing, with great scenic and no air pollution! :)
