It is a gathering place for young people. You can have a drink in the small bar at night. The rooms are small and the facilities are not new. However, the decoration style is special, with a simple exterior and industrial modern interior, which is considered thoughtful.

Friendly staff, quiet area in a busy city. The only downside is the lack of a mini fridge in the room, otherwise a top hotel!

I'm shocked with the welcome drink price no taste i ordered for my kids 7€ each 3,50 for my hot tea you pay expensive for ice welcome drink just syrup tea. My husband stayed several times in this establishment they could make little effort and i believe manager serving us well that's how it is....

it is spot on brand, a fun stylish hotel. even if you are a miserable old sod, the staff will make you feel as if you are young again. rooms are perfect for short stays, the shower large and bed comfortable. but you spend little time in the room, downstairs is a place to relax and smile. topping it all is being able to chill outside in the courtyard. a short walk into the city centre is worth it. one note, if driving, book the parking when you book, parking is limited and street parking is as secure as any city

We had a very poor experience at this hotel. We were planning to arrive Friday but our train cancelled so we arrived Saturday morning. We let the hotel know so they didn’t think we were no shows. We assumed that because we paid for the Friday night we could check in early on the Saturday morning and our rooms would be ready. We checked in, were given a key and went up to the room to find it dirty and clearly slept in. Queried this with reception and they said well you weren’t using it so we let someone else use it because of an issue in their room. We were told to come back at 2pm and they would clean the room. They clearly knew the room had been slept in, why even give me the key in the first place if it wasn’t clean? What if I had walked in on someone in the room (it was only 9:30am when we arrived)? And either I paid for the room so it was mine and I should have been able to use Saturday morning or they should have refunded me. The problems sadly didn’t stop there. The rooms are extremely basic - very dark even with all the lights on, a bathroom door that doesn’t fully shut, one pillow each and a thin duvet. The heating in the room didn’t work until 2am when it decided to come on at full blast, making the room stifling. Shower had two settings - scalding hot or barely warm, with bad pressure. They did comp our breakfast for the Sunday morning to make up for the room issues which I appreciated, but the breakfast was absolute chaos. Packed full of people and in a space which was way too small. Toaster was broken, food was cold and they ran out of crockery. Just a disappointment.

Nice hotel not far from the main centre and attractions of Lille. The quirky Moxy vibe won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I’m glad I tried it once. Nice sitting space in the reception/bar/cafe area on the ground floor. Rooms a little small but no major criticisms. Reception staff pleasant and helpful.

Stayed here for the Rugby World Cup with my wife. Beautiful old building (formerly a Medicine and Pharmacy Faculty at the University) and very funky interior and bar area. We are 70+ but loved the young vibe. Cool and interesting Bar and seating area - big screen put up for the rugby. Not in the city centre but only 10 minutes from a very lively bar, cafe and restaurant scene as well as museums etc. The metro stopped close by as well. Possibly the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in but cosy enough with reasonably comfy beds. Extra pillows supplied promptly when requested ! Quiet location at the rear of the hotel overlooking a quiet quadrangle. Very good - if small and not very private - shower with toilet. And the air conditioning worked so nice and cool during a very warm October spell. Breakfast was basic but pretty good continental style - scambled eggs and bacon, freshbread, cheeses, cold meats and sweet treats etc. Don't know the cost as it was included in our package. Superb coffee from the 2 machines. Couple of decent beers on sale and a good Sancerre as well. Food was available during the evening but limited to basic (but OK from what we saw) items - pizzas etc. Really good atmosphere in the evenings with the rugby on the screen, young folks in, people just having a quiet one outside in the front garden due to the lovely weather and the Host Broadcast TV crew celebrating after their stint at the Stadium for the Rugby. We liked it and would stay again.

Positif : staff, emplacement, welcome drink, parking. Négatif : gros problème de propreté, odeur canalisation, pas d'alèse de lit, pas d'oreiller supplémentaire, chambre sous les toits, ... Ce Moxy n'est pas au niveau des autres Moxy déjà visité, très déçu, je déconseille.

No frills Hotel in the Centre of Town. Located in old faculty building. Trendy decor with cool vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean in a Boutique hotel style. Prices are very reasonable. Can only highly recommend. Will use them from now on all over the world, where available. Moxy Hotels are operated by The Marriot group

The hotel is stylish, but when you look past the design you get very little for your money. It is overpriced for a very basic room with no real amenities. Having driven a long way I arrived to a rude young male on reception. I was then told there was no parking. I explained I had called weeks before to reserve a space and his response was to shrug and say ‘prove it’. I wasn’t surprised to log onto trip advisor and see others complaining of rude staff. It wasn’t a nice arrival and the room / hotel wasn’t anything special to make up for it and not particularly central. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel building is beautiful, unfortunately that’s as good as it got for us! The man on check in was very rude and unhelpful, there is advertised parking on site but it was full so we had to park in the city. The beds are small, there is no water, tea or coffee facilities in the room and the hotel itself is a decent walk from the old town centre. Having travelled in Europe for the summer this was the most expensive of the hotels we stayed I. and the most disappointing. I would give it a miss and book elsewhere in Lille.

This was our second stay in MOXY LILLE and again we were very happy with everything. It's exactly the right kind of quirky with nice elements throughout the whole hotel (including the room). It's not close to the center (20 min walk) but some of the other sights (Belfort, etc) are around the corner. The breakfast is very nice and a varied buffet. We were very well helped by Alexi who is knowledgeable about everything that is relevant /interesting in Lille as well as explaining the ins and outs of the hotel. We will be returning soon!
