Find the Cheap Lille Hotels

Location is good, near the Lille Flandres station. Also near a collapsed building, which is a little scary, but was not a problem during our stay. Hotel is beautiful & clean, although each room has a different layout, so quality may vary a bit. Concierge is very nice, but is not always guarding the front desk. Biggest problem is the hotel is infested with mosquitoes & has no air conditioning. My room also didn't have any outlets near the bed, making it difficult to plug in my phone or fans.

Stayed for a couple of nights in Calm Appart Hotel to be able to quickly move around to places by foot. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station and a big shopping mall as well as many restaurants. Despite the occasional noise in the streets, it was very easy to ignore it by just closing the windows—isolation seemed to be on point. Another convenience was the parking space in a secured, covered building next to the hotel. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Only point for improvement would be to have (third) beds that are not on wheels, because it was not very difficult to move the bed despite the wheels' brakes. Our stay was nonetheless a very good experience.

Once we located it (I would recommend NOT USING GOOGLE MAPS) it is very well located using Opera House and Apple Store as landmarks and it is close to Lille Europe. Whilst the rooms are small and the lift even smaller it is not any different in size to any other city centre hotel I have stayed in. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is perfectly adequate with freshly squeezed orange juice (you do have to request this it is not left out in the buffet area). Certainly had no complaints and would stay here again. My only small complaint is an a typical English tea drinker that the basic Thè was not available but this is a small ****** on what is otherwise a good value for money stay.

Great hotel located near the Vieux Lille (10 min-walk). Although the hotel is right across the main train station, the rooms are quiet. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful when we had questions. The possibility to book a parking spot in a near-guarded private parking is a plus when you come with your own car and want to visit places or museums outside of Lille. The rooms are very clean and have good air conditioning for those who need it. I do recommend La Valiz for those who go to Lille for a weekend or a few days and plan to visit the city and its surroundings.

The nicest little hotel! All the staff I met during my weekend stay were so friendly and sweet. Location was perfect - right in the centre of town; 2 minutes walk from the main square, 10 minutes from the Eurostar station. My room was very small; perfect for me with a comfy bed, crisp sheets and a big window I could open. There was no door to the bathroom area though which would have been awkward with a friend or new partner. No lift - not a problem for me although getting to the top floor after loading up on the fresh breakfast baguette and cake was tough… Breakfast was great; fresh fruit, yoghurt, baguette, cheese selection, pastries, cake, juice and coffee. Would definitely stay here if I was in Lille again.

I can't fault my experience of The Carlton Hotel, from the cheerful and helpful staff, to the lovely spacious room & bathroom. The breakfast room was wonderful, (complete with views of the square and Opera House), matched by the excellent choice of food. A wonderful way to start the day!

We stayed here in order to go to a game at the Rugby World Cup, while this was on they tripled the charge for an overnight stay but this is true of hotels in all cities hosting an event so it was expected. The hotel is in a good location just a short walk from the old town and many bars & restaurants. There's also a supermarket around the corner for beer/wine (there's a fridge in the room) or snacks. It's also not too far from the Eurostar station which you can walk to or take the metro. The format of the bedrooms seemed to vary depending on the location, ours was on the 4th floor and had a separate shower in addition to the bath but it had no room to store flat clothes, there was only hanging space. Rooms on the 2nd floor only had a bath with a shower outlet but plenty storage room for clothes. Regardless our room was clean, quiet, well decorated and had a comfortable bed - nothing at all to complain about. It also had a safe, a large flat screen TV and good wi-fi reception. The staff on reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful. The bar was very busy while we were there but they managed to cope very well with the number of orders for both drinks and food. Drinks were on the expensive side but this is true of most hotels. Breakfast was a bit disappointing in terms of variety and quality (especially the hot items) but the bread was fresh and there was some fruit on offer. There is a courtyard area where you can sit outside in addition to the bar/breakfast areas and we found this a convenient place to sit on the last day while we were waiting for transport to go home. As it is close to Flanders we took the opportunity to book a private WW1 battlefield tour which we enjoyed. If we decide to return to do a similar tour we will certainly stay at this hotel.

A boutique hôtel. The location is excellent. Friendly staff. Rooms are OK, not great and the restaurant IMO is overrated and too provincial. But as I said, the staff is excellent, they were very accommodating and let me have a late checkout with no problem. I would love to see an upgrade of the terrace and dining area, give the chef more leeway with less chi-chi. It’s a nice place that just needs some fine tuning. Good wine list, breakfast to your room included.

We chose this hotel as we wanted to be in the old centre of Lille for a short break, and the location was indeed excellent. However, for a four star hotel the room was very basic. We knew it would be small, and there was good air conditioning and a kettle which is always a plus. But there were no drawers or even shelves on which to put clothes, simply a small cupboard with half a dozen hangers on a rail. Also there was no desk or equivalent, simply a small rickety table on wheels. The fridge had the safe balanced on top of it within a tatty cabinet with the kettle on top. And finally there were no glasses or cups in the room simply 4 paper cups , surely a health and safety issue with boiling water from a kettle, and certainly not what one would expect in a four star hotel. All in all a very disappointing room for the price we paid.
