Dockside Aparthotel, BW Signature Collection

Very good hotel

Upon arrival, the staff mentioned that I hadn't made the hotel payment. They informed me and showed me that the payment was done through trip.com. I was asked to contact trip.com myself. Luckily, the support service team was available and sorted out the issues within almost 30 minutes. And trip.com given compensation for the booking issue in Liverpool. The lady at the receptionist said that I need to collect breakfast from the receptionist every day. She also mentioned that it's very basic and not worth the cost. The pictures show the same breakfast given every day. There is always no staff at the reception as well. The Wi-Fi was the worst and always disconnected, and I couldn't connect. The room was not bad, but there was no housekeeping every day. They didn't provide coffee and toilet paper, and the fridge was spoiled. They only provided one roll of toilet paper when I asked for it, saying they would give it but didn't. On the second day, after exploring the town and returning to the hotel, the main door wasn't operating, and I couldn't go to my room. I waited outside in the cold weather for more than 30 minutes.

Location, Location. Location was great, right on Albert Dock and close to all the famous sights. The apartment was very nice and new. One of the roller blinds from the living room door was missing, and despite reporting it twice, was not replaced. I hope they fix it for the next booking. Breakfast was in a bag, and collected each morning, and was fine. It contained bottled water, oat cereal, yogurt, a pastry and sometimes an apple. But next time I think I would bring my own food. There is still building work going on, to the Reception area, and I'm sure when complete will be great. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. This was my first visit to Liverpool, and I thought it was amazing. Do go on a walking tour, do the mersey ferry and the city bus to get a good overview. Also, Matthew Street where the famous Cavern Club is.

There are aspects of our stay at the hotel that are good and others that are not good. I rated it was average as it is definitely not very good (rating available after average). If you want to access tourist attractions near the river front in Liverpool such as the Albert Dock, Immigration Museum, Pier Head, Beatles Statue, Liver Building, etc. it's in a great location (less than 10 mins walk to Albert Dock). If you want access to the centre of time it's a 15-20 minute walk up hill or a 5 min Uber. Check-in was straightforward and efficient. We had a 2 bedroom apartment (included a kitchen and separate living area) which was very spacious. I would not recommend breakfast. A number of breakfast items (porridge, yoghurt, packaged pastry) are placed in a paper bag and then provided each morning.

The apartment is very spacious and well laid out, in a great location on the dockside and easy access into the main shopping/eating & drinking areas. The apartment itself was dirty, the floor was dirty on our arrival, the crockery was dirty in the cupboards. The window in the Devon bedroom wouldn’t close, so my daughter had to sleep in the living room due to the noise. Apartment smelt of smoke from somebody smoking in a nearby apartment. No teabags. Reported concerns to staff who were very nice and tried to help. Complaint still being processed. Sorry won’t be staying here again.
