Hotel staff were brilliant, until you ask to talk to a mangers about the situation regarding food. Well it’s all in my head that what he said … are you joking … rude and utterly disrespectful don’t go near this hotel ….all he cared about was money and what we paid … stay away

Would not recommend this hotel at all, rooms were out dated wall tissue paper thin as you can could hear everything next door to about 3 rooms away. Food was inedible fish raw, poultry raw and burgers raw, warmest items on the menu was salad. Same food every day, Drink is free flowing to help you forget what a disappointment the place is. Security were as useful as a chocolate fire guard. Fighting within the hotel and not doing anything about it also only has security between 8pm and 8 am anything outside these hours day staff are expected to deal with. While staying several customers had to be removed by local police for minor offences. Proper Evening entertainment was nonexistent, games area was below par such as severely chipped pool balls which cost 2euros a game. Now the good notes SOME staff were pleasant and helpful .

We just returned from the copacabana hotel! The hotel itself is situated 10 minute walk from beach and shops! There's a little convenience store right across the road. Hotel could definelty benefit from a freshen up but otherwise pleasantly decorated. The rooms are adequate with a wardrobe bath and shower no hairdryer though which was a little disappointing but not the end of the world! The food can be very repititive but definelty plentiful and something for everyone Staff were friendly enough but a smile from most would be better 😊 Housekeeping come every day with fresh towels and they are very friendly and smiley. Don't take heed of bad reviews go and experience for yourself.... For the price you pay it's a great wee holiday

I never write reviews, nor do I usually believe everything that I read, but I wish I had on this occasion and feel that I need to share our experience. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids, so needed two rooms. Upon arriving, (after being dropped off a 10 minute walk away from the hotel itself!) we were told that we had been placed in different blocks nowhere near each other. Not a massive issue but we had hoped that booking together that this would have been taken in to consideration. One room was tiny with a double bed to share ( 1 adult, 1 child) a half bath tub to stand in to shower, the smell of sewage was awful! The other was 3 single beds in one room, TV wires loose and showing, cobwebs and dust everywhere. Bathroom was a 3/4 bath, broken tiles cracked walls, and rusty taps. Both were high up (floor 4 and 5), so quite daunting when you have children up there. Food was cold every time we attempted to find something to eat. Most of the time we had to venture out. Not ideal when you pay for all inclusive. Drinks in the bar were fine, and plenty of seating area. Games section is good, but all at a cost of €1 or €2 a game. The pool arrear was disappointing too. There are only about 15-20 sun loungers, and most of the area is covered by shade, so we spent no time out there at all. Tiny pool for how big the hotel is. It's as if they built the hotel and forget about a pool until much later! There is a seating area outside prior to the pool, however this was always taken over by smokers, so you could not sit out there with children. Luckily the beach isn't too far, so we had to go out daily to enjoy the sun. Evening entertainment each night we were there was a DJ. Music blasted out all day until he arrived and turned it up. We only stayed for 3 nights luckily and I don't think we could have stayed much longer. We sat yesterday waiting for our transfer and 4 police officers arrived to remove two males who has thrown a chair from a balcony, narrowly missing a child! They say you get what you pay for, but be prepared to be disappointed if you go for it.

After reading all the terrible reviews on here for this hotel, we were frightened to go, I had read bed bugs, blood stains, unclean ect - arriving with 2 children I was so scared 🙄 we got home yesterday after spending 5 days there, it’s not as bad as I expected. It is certainly very dated and could do with fresh coats of paint everywhere and new carpets on the corridors, The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels and beds made up, there was a musty smell to the wardrobe but it didn’t make our clothes smell. The food is very basic and repetitive, but we ate everything and we never went hungry. We did have a few things happen to us, the shower was broken upon arrival, the tap on the sink broke whilst we were using it - but these were fixed and sorted straight away, so maintenance couldn’t be faulted at all. There were also a couple of very drunk lads causing trouble - but again they were dealt with immediately, the security guy did have a tough job 🙄 On the hotel page and when I booked it does say entertainment, this was not the case - nothing at all during the day and on the odd night there was a DJ on, who was very good - but disappointing when it stated entertainment. Also the day before we were leaving we asked to keep our room on, the lady in reception said this wasn’t a problem and to come down in the morning and pay - in the morning it was a gentleman on reception, who said we couldn’t keep our room on, so we had to go and quickly pack the room up and shower which meant we missed our last breakfast - so that was very annoying, that we were told yes one day and no the other. The pool is also very shady at this time of year, so we didn’t spend a lot of time round the pool - the beach was lovely and about a 13 min walk or 6/7 euros in a taxi. We went to magic park one night - the kids had so much fun there, highly recommend. For a cheap 5 nights away we had a lovely time 🥰 Not sure I would go back to this hotel but don’t let the reviews put you off

Honest review from a well travelled family. Reception was clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. The bar area and dining room were also clean and tidy however some of the staff were rude and I never seen any of them smile once unless they were leaving to go home. The rooms were very tired and the beds very uncomfortable. The maids did a good job each day making the beds and refreshing the towels although missed the cob webs 😂. I was very concerned about the height of the balcony as it would be easy to fall over if you had one to many or a curious child! The bathroom had no secure handrails, no mat and was very slippery. The lifts were very small and not wheelchair friendly at all with old fashioned double doors and sometimes stuck. The food was very same every day, although there was a reasonable selection and if nothing else there was fresh salad, cheese, meat and bread. The pool was small and the outside seating are at it was mostly full every day with smokers, which is fair enough but not great if you have a young family having to use the pool area. On the plus side it was very central and short distance to beach and shopping areas. It was good value for money all inclusive and fine if you are on your own or a couple that want to explore. The games area was good however you had to pay euros for everything but the outside table tennis was free 🙂. Night time in the bar was a good atmosphere, meeting lots of different characters 😉 although the all inclusive spirit drinks were watered down but beer and wine fine. I wouldn’t go to this hotel again with a family but considering what we paid, was good value.

The place was very run down, rooms were awful so dark and dreery, beds were uncomfortable, central location which was very noisy at night people shouting, cars scooters very hard to get to sleep, shower facilities consisted of a half bathtub with a shower hose attached to the wall, we were half board breakfast and dinner, restaurant staff were not very friendly and only offered a glass of water with our dinner, food in my opion was not nice , we had a do not disturb sign on out door but that did not seem to matter as the cleaners came in anyways (twice) this happened, we ended up checking out early and going to a different hotel which was bliss, and made us feel like we were on holiday, the one star I give was for the reception and bar staff who were lovely, apart from that I would not return to this hotel.
