Merton Hotels with Airport pickup service

As a budget hotel, the price is not cheap, but the town of Wimbledon is originally a high-end residential area, and it is within the acceptable range in time for the competition season. The size of the room is acceptable. The single bed provided can be joined or split. There are hot food for breakfast. The freshly baked croissants are very good. The bacon and sausage are provided, as well as coffee and milk. The location is also good, at the Wimbledon subway station Between South Railway Station and South Railway Station, it is very convenient to travel by subway.

I’ve stayed in many different Premier Inns and unfortunately this was the worst one so far. On a positive, it was near the location of an event I was attending, free parking and the breakfast was fantastic, as always. However, the cleanliness was not up to the usual standard and the shower was difficult to get to work, with lukewarm water when it finally arrived. I will spare you the details about the bathroom but suffice to say I wouldn’t sit on the toilet seat or have a shower (my partner persevered). The floor in the dining area was sticky throughout, the shelf next to our table was thick in dust and the view from our window was a pile of debris (see photo). We reported the shower problem to reception as we were leaving and were told that the floor we were staying on was being refurbished (in fact the workmen started working on our room as we left). Whilst this confirmed our observation that the room wasn’t up to the usual standard, it didn’t excuse the cleanliness!

The staff is very good. Breakfast is great. The room we stayed in was amazing. By all means, I would like to use it next time.

The hotel is opposite the subway station, which is convenient for travel and far from the city. The room was small but clean. English breakfast, fixed daily content, no surprises. I stayed for six nights, and slept into the early hours of the first night. The smoke alarm on the ceiling sounded inexplicably several times. I didn't ask the front desk to give me a call. One evening later, it sounded again. The overall feeling is okay.
