Villa Alounsavath Mekong Riverside Reviews

A very nice location for walking anywhere in the old city with lots of shops and restaurants very near. The room is very large with a ceiling fan and strong ac. The small refrigerator was also nice. Didn’t try the ancient tv but the WiFi was good. As some others have mentioned the outside noise like animals and people sounds come into the room but it didn’t disturb my sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast views are amazing. The food was a small buffet that changed one of the main dishes every day so you won’t get too bored. A very nice choice and a great value. I would definitely stay again next time.

It was my first 'me alone' trip for the research. Staffs were very kind and breakfast was fantastic at the Mekong riverside. I especially appreciate 'Nou', a very kind and helpful staff. He shared his knowledge for my research. Thanks!

Hotel is directly at the Mekong River, close to the attractions and night market in the Old City. Stuff is very friendly and helpful and take care of their guests. Breakfast is on a terrace above the river and you have a beautiful view over the Mekong River.

Wonderful location. AC didn’t work first night but night time temps were fine. Next day I went out and came back to a brand new AC in room. Wonderful. Right near my favorite cafe as well.

A lovely hotel located on the banks of the Mekong River in the historic centre of Luang Prabang. Service was friendly and the room was clean and spacious.

Nice location! The staff isn’t welcoming and they don’t stay in the counter. You can not really find them when you need them. They don’t leave phone number for you to connect too. If you rent the motobike, you have to park in other places; their staffs will help parking the motobike for you. But you could not find the staff most of the time. 😂 I don’t recommend to stay there.

Love the location which is directly by the riverside and quieter area but doesn’t compromise the proximity to Wat Xiengthong and the tourist street. We eat the same things for breakfast daily but thanks to the gorgeous view and pleasant weather , everything was cool. Room is spacious and even has a bathtub. However the TV is tiny and far away from the bed which makes it impractical to watch tv from bed.

Great central location and very helpful staff. Room a little dated and air conditioning wasn’t working in the room but overall a great place to stay in town.
