Hotels Near Phongsavanh IT Center in Luang Prabang

Overall this is a delightful little property. It is located on the Nam Khan River, not the Mekong River. It isn’t far from where the rivers converge. The view from balcony rooms are fantastic . The view has to be the best part of this place. Perhaps nicer views than some of the hotels near the center on the Mekong. The property is located in a small local neighborhood. If you don’t mind walking, you can walk to the center of town. It is hump in my opinion. However, I have mobility issues, so I needed to take a tuk tuk or taxi. The place is very tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are nice, although the photos of the rooms with bathtubs are misleading. They are not full size claw tubs. They are actually half the size of a regular tub. I did manage to squeeze myself into the tub, but I would have like to have known it was a mini tub. The staff are very friendly. However, other than one of the main hosts, the staff’s English was limited. This was frustrating when I needed directions or to ask questions. There did not seem to be anyone who spoke good English in the evenings. The breakfast they serve is fantastic. I really enjoyed having my lovely breakfast on my balcony each morning. There is also a very nice outdoor area on the river downstairs for everyone. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a restaurant for other meals. There are a couple of small places nearby that will deliver, but the food was pretty basic. The other thing to be aware of is the noises in the area. Sometimes it is just beautiful and serene. At other times, you have rowdy noises from the restaurant nearby or loud music from the restaurant across the river at night. You also have roosters waking everyone up first thing in the morning. In addition, when I was there, there was one night when the monks, at a local temple chanted ALL NIGHT long. It didn’t happen every night. Also, on my last night, a neighbor in the next room complained that they could hear me talking on the phone in my room. The sound travels between the rooms. I managed to deal with the noise, but it would be a bit much for some people. On a positive note, I really enjoyed Luang Prabang and I wish I had stayed longer. I was there only 3 nights. The region is beautiful and I wish I had more time to explore. Also, the hotel arranged for my airport transfer round trip, which was great. They even advanced me a bit of local money until I could make it to an ATM. I had a great private local guide and driver named Jimmy (Anglo name).

This boutique hotel is very well located in the heart of Luang Prabang. It's very near the key attractions in the city but located on a quiet street making it tranquil and relaxing. We were greeted warmly and professionally on arrival, including a welcome drink. Check in was efficient and we were escorted to our rooms. The rooms, though quite small, are charming with comfortable beds, good air conditioning and wifi, a minibar, TV and decent desk/work station. The bathroom is well laid out and equipped. The room (which was on the second floor) also had a nice balcony with table and chairs. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained and there's a swimming pool. Room service dinner was very reasonably priced, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly and professional. Breakfast in the restaurant was lovely with a nice range of western and Asian foods. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return and recommend the hotel to others.

I stayed here for one night as part of a larger Lao road trip. Having been constructed in 1937 during the French Colonial period, the building (house number 323), is a UNESCO-protected heritage site. Beautiful local hardwood is used throughout the structure and adds a level of charm that many other accommodations lack. The room was clean, large, well-appointed, and comfortable. The hot water, refrigerator, air-conditioning, and wi-fi worked well. The bedding, linen, pillows, towels, etc. were in good condition. I paid $27 USD per night on hotels.com, apparently, the walk-in rate for this same period is $26 USD per night. This is a fair price for this style of budget accommodation. I would stay here again for sure.

It was the first time I brought two children to stay here, and it far exceeded expectations. Brand-new facilities, free pick-up and drop-off from the high-speed rail station, free minibar, free shuttle bus to and from the city center. The kids loved swimming in the swimming pool. The waiters were very enthusiastic and friendly. Breakfast upstairs. There is a rich combination of Chinese and Western food. The manager of the restaurant downstairs was very patient and answered many of our questions about local travel. One of the best hotels in Luang Prabang, will stay again. 😊

I am a solo traveler in my 50s. Most hotels in Laos are small-scale. The staff are very friendly. Kuang Si Falls join van reservation 100,000,000 kip I booked a new motorcycle rental for 250,000 kip per day at the hotel. This hotel has a semi-basement, so if you book a cheap room, there is a high chance of being booked in the semi-basement. Even just idling at the table in front of the hotel seems emotional. Breakfast is plain bread and coffee. The location is good, with many shops nearby and close to the Mekong River (1 minute walk). Hmong Ahi Market is also close by (5 minutes walk). There is also a Miniso nearby, but it doesn't have many items. I bought sunscreen and a band next to the Miniso pharmacy. Currency cannot be exchanged at the hotel. The room is not that clean by Korean standards. Some complaints are covered up by the kindness of the staff.^^ It seems like a lot of European travelers stay here. Overall, I am satisfied with the price.

We spent 3 nights in this small hotel. The rooms are correct, clean but very spacious. The staff is very nice and despite the language barrier, try to satisfy us as best as possible. We have to order the evening if we want eggs. Otherwise we are a group of 12 people, the only on the hotel, and a certain lack of organisation despite the good will of the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is located along a street, so a little noise but the location is interesting for walking, visiting etc.. correct stay

Check In Date : 26th August 2022. Check Out Date : 28th August 2022. Room : 07. Location : The villa is located right in the heart of the historic old town Luang Prabang. It is basically located at the very centre of LP peninsula. It is not facing the main road (which is good) but it is located just 45 secs walk from the main road. Just next to the villa, there is a very simple and compact grocery store. within 5 mins, there are cafes, souvenir shops, pharmacy and also very near to the 2 rivers that made up the LP peninsula. Going down the hill, there is the mighty river Mekong, which is very beautiful during sunset. Going uphill which is not steep, there is Nam Khan River. Within 10-15 mins walks, I can reach the Royal Palace, Phousi Hill, Night Market and the morning market. The location is SUPER PERFECT. Reception and Service : We arrived at the city around 9.20am. 26th August 2022 which is a blessing. We didnt know that there is Boat Racing Festival, the city is basically dead congested. The tuktuk driver dopped us at Dara Market and we had to walk all the way to the hotel (3km) with 7kg rucksack on our back. We reached the hotel around 10am. To our surprise, we were told that our room is ready and voila, the reception guy let us go in the room 4 hours early with ZERO charge. The recep made a lot of suggestion and had plenty of topics to talk to us. He suggested us to visit the Boat Racing Festival because it is the last day. So we followed his advice and we got to celebrate it like a local. The festival itself is amazing. The recep always helpful to us and always smile. We feel really welcome. We always get a massive greet whenever we come back to the villa. Room : I remember specifically that I book a deluxe room but we got a triple room. That free upgrade came with ZERO costs to our wallet. The room is spacious. The AC is cold. The fridge is working well. The bathroom is massive, and hot water working perfectly. The mattress is soft and despite the wooden exterior, I felt quiet whenever we enter the room. However, there is no elevator provided. Disable people might have to contact the villa if you want to book so you can request for lower room specifically. And since LP is such a charming little town, most of the hotels in the city are also 2 stories with no elevator for sure. I love the room and the cleanliness. Facility : As per said, there are no elevator and the upper room isnt accessible to people with disability. There is a small front yard where tourists can park motorcycle. Breakfast : People choose breakfast from the menu provided. We only get to try the breakfast once because the second day, we went to Tad Sae around 7am. The noodle soup is delicious and we love the fruit plate. The eating area is small, good for chatting with other travelers. But it is simply kept clean at all time. Sleep Quality : 9.9/10. Love the location which is directly by the riverside and quieter area but doesn’t compromise the proximity to Wat Xiengthong and the tourist street. We eat the same things for breakfast daily but thanks to the gorgeous view and pleasant weather , everything was cool. Room is spacious and even has a bathtub. However the TV is tiny and far away from the bed which makes it impractical to watch tv from bed.

On July 15, I traveled from Bangkok to Luangxyang Bang. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel for 100,000 Lao. At the front desk, there were two handsome Laotian guys who could speak Chinese and were waiting enthusiastically. . The boss came back in the evening and had a great chat. The boss is from Zhejiang. He is young, friendly and talkative. We talked until after 1 o'clock in the evening. They rented a motorcycle for me early the next morning. Motorcycle rental here is about 30-50 yuan per day. The hotel is on the edge of the Meigong River. The room has a terrace. You can smoke a cigarette, drink tea and relax for a while on the terrace. It is rare to find this kind of pure land in the country. I rarely write hotel reviews. This time it was really inspired. Luangxyang is not a big city, prices are extremely cheap, and consumption is relatively lower than in China. Everyone can come and experience it if you have the opportunity.
