This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable.

Abbiamo soggiornato soltanto una notte,quindi non posso dare chissà che opinione, ma sicuramente posso dire che la struttura era pulita e il personale gentilissimo e pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Ottima la colazione e sicuramente un buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo vista la posizione centrale. Importante sottolineare la possibilità di usufruire del parcheggio. L’unica pecca se così si può definire è il non aver alloggiato nel b&b principale, ma in una specie di villetta attigua al parcheggio,nulla di drammatico, ma sicuramente un po’ meno affascinante delle foto sul sito.

Canere senza fascino al secondo piano senza ascensore che si aprono tutte direttamente nella sala colazioni. Aspetto vecchieggiante e mobili arraffazonati. Parcheggio 10 euro

I so thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Gemma di Elena! It is a lovely property situated near the city center- walking distance to everything you might want to see. Around the corner from the Piazza del Anfiteatro.
The property appears to have been someone's flat at one point- and is now divided into several guest rooms and a large entry room where a tasty breakfast is served every morning.
The room was well appointed- complete with a mobile air conditioning unit which was key in late August this year! It was the best night of sleep that I experienced my entire two weeks in Italy! The staff were very kind- and I believe it was one of the owners that carried my luggage downstairs for me when I was leaving.
Highly recommend this little gem if you are traveling to beautiful Lucca! :)

Cute little Gem
Amazing little find. Felt authentic, the staff were fabulous and couldnt do enough for you.
