Very nice quaint pub in a lovely village, with friendly enough staff, open fires, low ceilings and a very nice beer garden. We had a couple of starters that were quite disappointing, salmon and scallop thermidor was very whetherspoons and the paté was just cheap shop bought with a very dry piece of bread with frozen butter, wasn't sure what to make of it. We both went for the lamb rump for main and the lamb was the best bit of meat I have ever tasted! Wow! But that was it. There wasn't enough with it to make it a main. Very close to being a perfect village pub, but a few corners cut in the wrong places have let it down.
