The Hamilton Inn is gorgeous. I. My first impressions? Amazing. Gorgeous. Hard to Find. These 3 words describe the looks and the attitude of the hotel. I'll be staying here for 11 days and nights. I've got an upgraded room on the lake. The upgraded room includes a free breakfast here. The breakfast s a variety of flavorful choices. The hotel decor is by far one of the nicest I've ever seen. Playful and stylish, tasteful yet trendy. It features cool greens and reds,with wooden trim. Amenities? I have been using the free internet everyday, typing out these little notes. The gym is actually a gym with free weights. Most hotel gyms consist of only a stairmaster and treadmill with maybe a little universal. The Hamilton has a universal machine, treadmills and free weights. It also has a sound system and TV.

The hotel is located on the edge of Lake Huron and does not have its own exclusive beach, but once you are out of the hotel you can watch the sunrise by the lake. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean with a refrigerator and no microwave. Free parking, breakfast is a standard American breakfast and can be full.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel and we loved it. We had a king room and it was so spacious and very clean. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was also very spacious and clean. The water pressure in the shower wasnt the best but we find that at most hotels. The room was nice and bright but we were the most suprised at how big it was. And the layout of the room was really nice. We had a fridge and microwave that both worked great. We also liked the fact that it is within walking distance to town. Close to everything. And the shepplers shuttle is right across the road. Its also right across the road from the little grocery store in Mackinaw City. Making the reservation was easy and check in was easy. Everyone at the front desk was very nice. The housekeepers were also very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Such as towels, cups, etc. We were a little unsure about staying here because as I mentioned we havent heard the best things about Baymonts but we would definately stay here again and will recommend it to others. As for the cost, it is about average for a place like Mackinaw City.

Except for no slippers, no kettle, average breakfast, everything else is good, the room is super large, the location is super good, and the sunrise from the balcony is very beautiful. You can buy ferry tickets at the front desk of the hotel. It is also close to the pier. You can also choose a shuttle bus to go to Mackinac Island.
