2-Star Hotels in Madrid

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!

One of the best hostel I've ever been to. The 8-people shared bedroom was BIG, with beds safely distant. The overall cleanliness of the host was good, the atmosphere was great (with sangria parties going on every night downstairs and Madrid tours every morning) but the best part was the staff: super friendly and ready to help you. The Italian girl working at the reception was lovely! She recommended lots of her favourite restaurants and they were so good. Thank you so much!

The shower is broken, you can only take a shower with a shower that cannot be moved on the ceiling. There is no guardrail on the bunk bed, and I am a little afraid of falling when I sleep, which is a bit dangerous. The provided body milk thought it was a moisturizer, but it would foam when touched with water. I suspected that the body wash was put into the body milk. The location of the hotel is good, the subway station is nearby, very convenient.

It is a very smart hotel. There is no one to help you check in, you have to do it yourself. There is a big gap after the toilet door is closed, so privacy cannot be guaranteed. Finally for the bed, I was unfortunately assigned to the upper floor. Even though I am 182cm tall, getting in and out of bed was still a challenge. I wish I could shorten the ground clearance. There were some minor stains on the sheets.

The place is very well located. The amenities are adequate and the room was tiny. But that wouldn't have been a problem for us if it wouldn't have been that there were only 4 hangers in a quirky display. Non of this is good when you have big jackets and several layers. I had no place to put my jacket! It has to be on my bed all the time, at night it made a nice extra layer but not the point! I had been in other tiny hotels that have managed much better space for suitcase and coats. We were lucky we only have 2 tiny backpacks, otherwise we would have to choose either the suitcases on the bed or us on the bed. Deco is quirky but not very functional.

The hostel was really nice. The location is good, the staff is really welcoming and smiling and the room was nice. I was really surprised to get such a nice room for a really cheap price. The locker with its key are included in the price of the room and there was everything required to sleep comfortably. I really recommend it.

I would like to share my experience staying at this wonderful hostel in Madrid and give a special shoutout to the staff, who made our stay memorable. Firstly, I have to mention Ricardo, who welcomed us warmly and provided us with all the necessary information about the city. He patiently answered all our questions and gave us some great tips on places to visit, eat and shop. His local knowledge and friendly demeanor made us feel at home and we appreciated his efforts to make our stay enjoyable. Agustin was also amazing, always going out of his way to help us with anything we needed. He was friendly, approachable, and made us feel comfortable asking for help whenever we needed it. His cheerful attitude and willingness to assist made a huge difference to our experience at the hostel. Lastly, I have to mention Javier, who worked the night shift. He not only provided excellent service but also went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was having a great time. Every time before and after going out, he was always up for a conversation, making sure that everyone was in high spirits. His presence gave us a sense of community and his pleasant manner made us feel welcome and cared for. Overall, our experience at this hostel was fantastic, and it was largely due to the wonderful staff. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Madrid and looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The hostel had a great location! There were lots of great restaurants near by and the night life was fun. They don’t provide any soap or shampoo in the shower. The rooms are small and a tight fit with 3 bunk beds. Nothing fresh for breakfast. I guess you get what you paid for.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, it was clean and tidy, and was cleaned every day. The location is very good. Two subway stations are very close. It is a few minutes walk from Puerta del Sol San Miguel and other places. I saw police cars parked nearby several times and it felt safe. The wifi is also very good. The best thing is that there is a 24-hour Coffee Corner, which provides free coffee drinks and hot water, pastries, fruits, self-service, and a microwave oven. In the morning, the staff will also provide bread donuts and water at the door. It should be noted that their front desk is open until 11 o'clock in the evening. There is a self-service check-in machine after 11 o'clock, and the room can be entered with a password.
