"Every thing was top very satisfying as expected I was
Very happy with the service and the approach of the staff was very professional and polite I recommend everyone how visit Madrid will be satisfied with the outcome"
"Everything is great, the bedding is comfortable, the soundproofing is good, and it's very quiet. It's not far from the airport, and there's a subway a few hundred meters away. It's a little far from the city center, and it's expected to take 40 to 50 minutes."
"This was my second stay at this hostel and it's still amazing. One of the best hostels I have stayed at in Europe. It is well located - right off the Mayor Plaza. Close to bus routes and not too far from the subway.
The hostel staff are super friendly and always available - 24hr front desk. They are hapy to have a chat with you and make recommendations and give advice - or just sing along to whatever is playing from the bar. They weresuper gracious and helped to arrange my friends and I in the same room - even though we all had individual bookings.
The rooftop is excellent. We spent several siesta's up there; reading and chatting and having a drink. Just note that the rooftop bar is a public space and at times sections of it are booked for events. But otherwise the view of the rooftops and the church dome are worth it.
The rooms are spacious enough, as is the private bathroom. There are additional bathrooms on each floor - gendered. The bunk ladders are a little steep on the steps - my shorter friend struggled getting up to her bunk - we had to use the foot stool to assist. But the ability to have two people using the bathroom in the room at a time made for easy use - especially with only 6 people in our dorm.
The free margarita making each night from 9pm and the bar crawl are worth checking out. My friend also also did the walking tour - and said she found it super informative and. chill. Lots of food recommendations and the group all grabbed lunch together after the tour."
"The hotel was about 30 minutes outside of the centre but was easy enough to get too using the metro. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and clean."
"Right in the centre of Gran Via. Next to Ray Ban and Zara store. Perfect base. 001 bus from Madrid train station stops in front of the hotel and the metro stop Gran Via Callelllo stop is in front of the hotel.
The facilities are cleaned regularly. Each room has an A&C or fan. The WiFi is also very strong. A really good hotel with great facilities and affordable."
Experiencia recomendable."
"Important reminder: The hotel room had absolutely nothing, it was incredibly basic, far exceeding expectations! There wasn't even any drinking water! The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the airport; otherwise, it has no redeeming qualities whatsoever!
The room was spacious and tidy, with modern and complete facilities. The free Wi-Fi signal wasn't very stable. This place is only suitable for a temporary stay if you have an early flight! Avoid this place.
The 24-hour front desk staff were super enthusiastic, patiently and meticulously answering questions about directions and solving problems."
"The hotel is well located next to the metro. The room is spacious and the welcome is pleasant.
On the other hand, the insulation between the rooms and the hallway needs to be improved; you can hear everything going on around you.
Here's the condition of the bath towel provided in the room... not worthy of a 4-star hotel."
"Good location given to the really short layover we had prior to our flights.
Even if checking in quite late, we have found long line and waited more than 20min with a baby to check in.
We have been told that if our son was more than 2 we would have to book another room.. that is not our case yet
Into the room, the minimum - just the space for the bed
The shower is directly into the bedroom
As said Good for just few hours of sleep"
"Approximately 20 minutes away from the nearest metro station, +- 50 by metro to the city centre, the hotel itself is good and clean"
Very Good

Great
TTraveler 123recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Palacio de los Duques in Madrid, and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I entered the magnificent palace-like building, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance that surrounded me.
The hotel's location in the heart of Madrid's historic center is perfect for exploring the city's attractions. Many iconic landmarks, such as the Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor, are within walking distance, making it convenient for sightseeing enthusiasts like me.
The staff at Palacio de los Duques Madrid truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service provided by the concierge, every interaction was marked by genuine hospitality and professionalism.
The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed and exuded a sense of luxury. The elegant decor, comfortable furnishings, and modern amenities created a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I appreciated the little touches that enhanced my stay, such as the plush bathrobes and high-quality toiletries.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's stunning rooftop terrace. Offering panoramic views of Madrid's skyline, it provided a breathtaking backdrop for enjoying a drink or simply unwinding while taking in the city's beauty. The on-site restaurant also surpassed my expectations with its delectable cuisine, showcasing a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors.
Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid seamlessly blends historical charm with modern luxury. The preservation of the building's architectural heritage, combined with the impeccable service and attention to detail, creates an unforgettable experience.
Overall, my stay at Hotel Palacio de los Duques Madrid exceeded all expectations. It is a true gem in the heart of Madrid, offering a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and convenience. Whether you are visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in the vibrant capital city of Spain.

Great
NNo sugar ,but coffeeThe room was clean and tidy. The breakfast spread was extensive, with options catering to Chinese palates, including local fried dough sticks (youtiao) and dumplings, all of which tasted great. There was also a wide selection of fresh fruit. The only minor downside was the typical European hotel amenity setup – no complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers provided in the room. The location is also excellent, right next to Retiro Park and the Prado Museum.
AAnonymous UserWe had a wonderful stay in Crowne Plaza Centew Retiro. Few min walk to Metro. Ginos restaurant and VIPS restaurant are opposite to the hotel and closed at midnight. The junior suite was great with a King bed and a double sofa bed which are big enough for a family of 4. The hotel provided welcome drinks and snacks in the bar. Free Illy coffee capsules and cookies in the room. The minibar in the junior suite was fully stocked and complimentary. All staff are friendly and nice. Thanks Nuria Pastor and your team for the arrangement which made our journey so special. We would definitely recommend our friends to stay here. The hotel was connected with Voco. We also booked buffet breakfast in Voco hotel with kid price EUR15 and Adult EUR 19. Great variety of food and drinks.
JJ & AGood location from Madrid Pta Atocha station, excellent for train transfers, both metro and high speed rail. Easy to find cabs, uber, or walk ~20mins to most tourist attractions. Has lots of restaurants nearby.
The hotel also has a restaurant and room service for dining in. Super clean, and the room is spacious and comfortable.
GGuest UserThe apartment was hugely overpriced.
The location is nowhere near the plush area of Retiro as suggested by the apartment description.
The apartments are tiny with no natural light. They are very dark and depressing.
The water takes a long long time to heat up.
There has been money wasted on fancy bathroom sinks and wooden floors when comfort should be the number one priority.
The beds are really terrible and really hard. I developed back and shoulder pain within a few hours of trying to sleep on the bed.
The human spine is S shaped and if you lie on a decent bed your shoulder and hip should sink into the mattress. This offers vital comfort and support.
The pillows are really cheap and uncomfortable and in the two upstairs apartments you can hear the people in the next room loud and clear.
The equipment in the kitchen is very restricted.
Not enough knives and forks and the cutlery provided is not suitable. Steak knives all two of them to spread butter!!!
Nothing to cut loaves or other food stuffs.
Half a tea towel and no kitchen towel which is not practical to buy for a 1-3 night stay.
Two toilet rolls, not enough for a 3 person stay.
Considering the extortionate price charged for the tiny so called Junior Suite, the owner should have provided more comfort and facilities and the beds are truly terrible and lack of sound proofing being able to hear my neighbours farting was pretty awkward.
However, the lady on Reception Mayumi was absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
She was kind and considerate and a real asset to the company.
The male members of staff were not remotely helpful whoever they were.
Not a place I would recommend and certainly not at that price with beds that feel like you are sleeping on the floor with a sheet and pillow!
LLorenaMolineroThe place is wonderful, clean, well equipped, easy check-in, next to Atocha, super spacious… well decorated… we loved the detail that it had a washing machine and clothesline! It has been a very good experience and both my daughter and I loved it!
MMrWong888After traveling extensively in China, returning to Spain highlighted some noticeable differences, particularly in Madrid. While the city and its infrastructure may feel a bit outdated compared to other global hubs, the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá was a decent and comfortable place to stay.
The hotel’s location is its strongest feature—it’s directly across from Chamartín Train Station and its adjacent subway station. While the train station and subway facilities are not the most modern or impressive, the convenience of being so close to transportation hubs is a definite plus. The street leading to the hotel is a bit unusual, set on a slope, but it’s manageable.
The room was clean and functional, though slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, albeit with older spring mattresses that could use an upgrade. Despite the slightly worn feel, the room provided a comfortable space to rest after a day of exploring or work.
The standout feature of this hotel was undoubtedly the breakfast. It was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to different tastes. It was easily the highlight of my stay and set a great tone for the day.
The service was also pleasant and friendly, which is a nice touch, especially given the sometimes lackluster service standards in Spain. The staff were helpful and made the stay more enjoyable.
Overall, while the Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá may not be the most modern or luxurious option, it offers good value for its location, a comfortable stay, and an exceptional breakfast. If you’re looking for a convenient and reliable place to stay near Chamartín Station, this hotel is a solid choice.
WWei Kion• The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep.
• The air conditioning did not have heating, but the blanket was thick enough to keep warm; the temperature that night was around 13°C.
• The room was very spacious—enough to fully open two large suitcases on the floor with plenty of space left to walk around.
• The bathroom included a hairdryer.
• The shower drain seemed slightly clogged, causing slow drainage; we had to keep the water pressure low while showering.
• No drinking water was provided in the room, but the front desk informed us that the tap water from the bathroom sink is safe to drink.
• There was no kettle in the room, but you can request hot water from the front desk—they kindly provided it from the cafeteria free of charge.
• Although the hotel is not located right in the tourist center and isn’t within short walking distance to major attractions, it has excellent transport links: there are both a bus stop and a metro station right outside and around the corner.
• It’s very convenient whether you’re arriving from Atocha Station or heading to key destinations like Madrid Royal Palace, Moncloa Bus Terminal (for Segovia express), Plaza Eliptica (for Toledo express), or Estacion de Autobuses Madrid Sur (for Porto overnight bus).
• The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of check-out, we left our luggage there for free while we visited Toledo. When we returned around 6:00 PM, they even provided hot water for our instant noodles. We rested in the cafeteria for a few hours before heading to catch our overnight bus to Porto.
• Their assistance made our trip much smoother and more comfortable.
GGuest UserPretty crowded sometimes but I could work and sleep without any problem. My only concern was that AC didn't work at all, sometimes was pretty hot.
11530551****The room size is OK, but the balcony is too small to stay in. Facilities were very basic and the air conditioner leaked water into the room. The biggest advantage is the location, right next to the Old Town Square. It's OK as a one night stopover.
