Overall, our stay was unpleasant. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out. When we entered the hotel they essentially made us feel that we were unwelcomed. No smile, no hello, nothing! I have never experienced this level of hospitality in my lifetime. Room size We had booked a ”Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View” (booked almost 1.5 months before) and it was supposed to be one of the best rooms in this hotel (2nd best to be precise). The room was tiny and couldn't even accommodate our luggage. Bed size It was supposed to be a ”large double bed” but it was tiny that we couldn't sleep well. We had 5 years old - already mentioned while booking. They could have simply rejected our booking by saying that the bed would not accommodate a kid. Bathroom and accessories It was again very small. There was nothing. No hand towel, soap, toothbrush, or sleepers. There was a shower gel and a shampoo. And some tiny lizards in the bathroom which was scary for my kid to use the washroom. I must mention that one of the staff was helpful in getting rid of one of those lizards we encountered and I had to shoo the rest of them away by myself. Pricing on Booking.com We paid 336$ for two nights on booking dot com and expected better rooms and services but the actual room cost which I got to know at the hotel was only 80$/night which explains why the services were not great. Booking dot com definitely fleeced us. You can directly reach out to the hotel to book the room if you're interested. Also, we had planned to spend two days in the city to explore after spending a few days on a private island. Though one day was enough to explore the city! Overall, it is a 2-star hotel and not recommended for a family. Good for solo travellers for a short stay (not more than a night). I would not recommend this hotel to a couple! The only positives were the sea view from the room and the location.

advantage: The price is cheap, the location is excellent, not far from the airport, there is a free pick-up and drop-off, including breakfast. The staff are very enthusiastic, and they are very professional about the time to go to the airport and go to the island the next day. Satisfied with the service. The best thing is that the blue sea is at the entrance of the hotel, and the water will fly by for a while. We stayed here for the second time before catching our flight home after a dive trip. It is fine for one night, the room was clean and the air con worked great. This island is man made, so space is at a premium. We booked a twin in the hope that we might have a bit more bed space, but the floor space was not really big enough to have both our dive bags open at the same time. However the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooftop restaurant was really nice and the food and service was great. We had to leave at 5.15 and there was a lovely breakfast spread out with yogurt and juices and fruit beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We would like to thank Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa for our amazing stay. We stayed a week at this resort and everything was perfect. Would like to say a BIG thank you to Yerlan and amazing Chef, who always came out to check if everything was great, also to Chamara, Dinendra, DJ-Yulia (she is perfect DJ). Also Anastasia a girl who looked after us Breakfast and Dinner Time. Prafula at the Beach restaurants - your salads and Burgers were the best. The price of the pick-up and drop-off arranged by the hotel is 25 US dollars. It is very cost-effective. The room is one of the 2 bedroom suites. It shares the kitchen with another room. There is a separate bathroom. The environment of Male is really not good.

First of all, I would like to thank Ctrip for its services. It is true that the big brand is trustworthy. But this hotel is an unreliable hotel. If possible, go to another house. Near the airport, Paradise Island, Full Moon Island, or Bandos Island can be reached by speedboat. When I was picked up, I was asked to wait by the side. I waited for almost an hour and no one answered me. We have to wait to get on the boat. When I arrived, I disembarked with an African couple, because after waiting for the African couple to wait for an hour, then I went through the formalities for them first, and I waited next to me. Then when I was sending off the plane, I had a flight at 9 o'clock. He told me to go to the airport at 6 o'clock. I said that I would go to see the dolphins with your hotel group. In fact, they and Dolphin Sightseeing are both in the same hotel. They didn’t even know when the Dolphin Sightseeing came back, and then they said no to me without thinking for a second. There are island hopping tours here, but because this hotel is inherently few people, each project requires more than 6 people to go, and many projects are not enough for people to go. I don't have much time in Madai, so I can only give up. So go to the more expensive islands where more people go, at least you can go to island hopping. The hotel rooms are average. The difference between the garden room and the superior room is the first floor and the second floor. The crows on the trees outside at night are very noisy and can’t stand it. This island is the cheapest island fee, 85 US dollars, wifi is very poor, slow to death, you must first buy a data card in the Maldives. The waiter is not good, don't come, go to Sheraton Full Moon Island or Pantos Island, Bandos is about the same fee, 93 dollars, but the diving there is beautiful, the room price is about the same, but the service of others is good. It costs $43 per person to go back and forth to Bandos. You can only practice snorkeling here, there are many reefs, it's a small island, and it discriminates against the Chinese, and the service attitude is so bad. Everyone Chinese, don't come here. I regret coming. I should spend more money to stay in other hotels. The breakfast in the hotel is pretty good. The breakfast place is open-air and the photos are beautiful. We recently stayed at Saii Lagoon, and I can't say enough about this place. The property is simply wonderful, and the staff is exceptional. Had such a wonderful relaxing time, beautiful rooms and luxurious bed linen. Friendly service and laid back vibe! Ideal if you want somewhere relaxing. I forgot one of my Main Meds at home (London) - Within minutes , YOU (Ismail/Isse ) had it all covered. What an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived at the airport we were so welcome by so the staff. The resort itself is beautiful and kept really well. This is high quality resort with a very personalised touch. Shohel, our house keeper, made such a difference and was very courteous and thoughtful. We stayed for our anniversary and was met with such a beautiful display. The room was quite spacious as we stayed in an overwater villa and was quite private. The beautiful reefs are worth exploring. All the activities in the resort are so much fun and the staff make it much more enjoyable filling in any knowledge gaps and answering any questions we had. Would definitely recommend staying as we’ve decided we’d love to come back in the future.

My wife and I honeymooned at Velassaru for 6 nights in early May, arranged through a local travel agent in Australia. We went for the Indulgence package and a beachside villa with plunge pool and the entire experience was excellent. The transfers to and from the airport were pre-arranged and seamless, and we were on the island with no fuss. Once there we were greeted and refeshed, then led to our lovely room, overlooking a beautiful turquoise ocean with reef break. The ocean colours really are something else, and this is coming from an Australian. The wife insisted on the plunge pool which of course turned out to be a brilliant decision. For me, it was about the food and drink. We ate at all of the restaurants, and every one provided excellent meals and the Indulgence package covered all of the basics so I could grab most of what I wanted when I wanted. I did spring for the lobster and some nice whisky though, at civilised prices subsidised through the package. I was very happy here. For my wife, she loved the ocean, and spent hours snorkelling / exploring out on the reef, or relaxing in the plunge pool with some music and a drink. I'll let her write the next bit. I look forward to seeing all the happy and dedicated staff at Velassaru in the near future. Regarding the timing, we went early low season which is the local wet season, and this was fine. The weather was overall mostly sunny during the day, while riding out any late afternoon storms in the pool with a cocktail, or late night tempests in the warm plunge pool (also with a cocktail), was a great experience. Also regarding the timing, the resort was pretty quiet and here is where things truly shine. Without the high season pressure, we received immediate and pleasant attention and service from the staff. For our own honeymoon experience, we must particularly thank Salam and Imran, both of whom were engaging and ensured everything was on point, from them we received exceptional service, and more importantly, conversation. A special mention, and which for us will mark special memories, is Chef Wasantha and his personal attention during our stay. He visited our table during lunch on our first day and offered us whatever we liked, so my wife offered a challenge of tandoori lamb cutlets. Half an hour later, two plates were consumed, and chef continued to entertain requests over the next few days for whatever was asked.
