Hotels Near Maison de la Biodiversite in Manosque

We unfortunately only got to spend one night at La Bastide Saint Georges but wish it could have been longer. The hotel is just amazing. Wonderful location and spectacular grounds. Walking distance to Forcalquier which is a really pretty town. We stayed in Amandine which was essentially like a mini villa on the end of a terrace as part of a Voyage Prive deal. It looks brand new so I think these rooms are a recent edition. A small terrace with table and chairs, small area of grass and two deck chairs. The room as air con, large double bed, TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities, fridge and a huge wet room shower area. Really nice. Great pool area and large area of grounds with various sun beds etc. The restaurant area is amazing and we had our welcome cocktail on the terrace with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Breakfast (also in the restaurant area) is superb. Loads of choice at the buffet from sweet to savoury and runs until 1030. Staff were lovely and really helpful. There was some confusion about the pool (heated) it seems it opens at 0900 technically but can potentially be opened earlier by prior request (which it was during our stay). My partner had a 30 minute massage which was very good apparently. If I was being exceptionally pedantic my only gripe was at checkout when we noticed the price of the massage was €60 and not €55 as previously advised prior to our stay. It appears the employee sent us the tariff for last season via email so an innocent mistake. The monetary difference was immaterial but out of principle it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to acknowledge the error on their part and honour the lower price. We will definitely return, one night is simply not long enough to do it justice.

Had a wonderful overnight stay on our way to the Gorges du Verdon. The bedroom was delightful, quiet, very good bedding with a fantastic bathroom which was spotless. Hotel had a wonderful pool which we did not have time to use and the surroundings were gorgeous. Breakfast brought to our bedroom which was a big plus and everyone at reception was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Would highly recommend and thank you for having us.

The hotel is very French farmhouse, we like it very much. The French beauty at the front desk is very NICE. Breakfast is a little bit simple. Each room has kitchenware, which prompted us to do a ”French farmhouse”. Great!

Lovely hotel this. Great part of town. Has the potential to be amazing I just feel they need to refine a few aspects of their product. Note- our air conditioner didn’t flow great and room was quite warm which did affect sleep quality, the chrome cast streaming service didn’t work properly and was very glitchy, a fire alarm went off in the building for no reason, our shower tap was broken and didn’t function properly, and finally housekeeping cleaning next room must of slammed the door 15 times going in and out creating unbelievably loud noise for no reason.

An absolute gem of a hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble! Room was clean and comfortable - excellent shower! They have a really good restaurant in-house, which I can highly recommend. Excellent wine list too. We found it to be the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the wonderful countryside and villages around this part of France. There are some fantastic walks, hikes and trails - and if I still rode a motorcycle, some of the roads near the hotel really do look like they need riding! Cannot recommend highly enough.

I am providing this review of our stay under the deconfinement rules which applied at the time. The restrictions in place were as follows: The room was not serviced during our 5 day stay, that is to say there was no cleaning, no bed-making, no change of towels and no re-supply of toilet rolls, soap etc etc. All tea and coffee making facilities were removed from the room. The restaurant, although open had a very restricted menu (3 entree, 3 mains and 3 desserts). This could be delivered to the room (for an extra charge of €5) but the staff would not enter the room. The rules obviously affected our stay and it is not clear to me which of these rules were determined by French law and which were decided by Best Western. What I can say is that they were not communicated to me accurately prior to my booking. We asked for our towels to be change and extra toilet rolls, which were provided rapidly. We bought a kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, sugar and milk from the supermarket. (Cheaper and quicker than ordering room service again for our breakfast cuppa). We ordered room service once but found we had no table to eat from. Plastic knives and forks were provided. We were not informed of the €5 supplement. Issues of coronavirus aside, we found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, the gardens to be very pleasant, with pool, sauna, crazy golf, boules etc available. The hotel is very convenient for visiting the towns and villages of the Luberon (although Pertuis itself is to be avoided).

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo B&B situato a poca distanza dalle Gorges du Verdon e trovato all’ultimo momento. Nella casa a due piani i proprietari - davvero molto gentili, disponibili e prodighi di consigli e informazioni - abitano al piano superiore e sotto hanno ricavato 5 camere funzionali, recenti e ben arredate, seppure in modo semplice. Il luogo è all’inizio di un piccolo villaggio, in una zona tranquilla e silenziosa. Vicino ci sono due ristoranti, ma a 10 minuti c’è il lago con varie soluzioni. Curata e buona la prima colazione. Se non si cerca una esperienza particolarmente elegante o di charme, questa location è funzionale, pulita e curata. Costo 101€ per una notte in due in una camera doppia con soppalco per accomodare altre 3 persone (da noi non usato). Lo consiglio.
