Hotels Near El Mouassine Mosque in Marrakech

I stayed at Amour D'Auberge over the new year - I was looking for a hostel that was relatively quiet and laid back, in a good location. Hiba, Nadia, Faisal and Jamil run the hostel together and every interaction I had with each of them was very positive! They were super friendly and helpful. I shared an 8-bed female room and had no problems with it - the beds are comfortable and warm, and you get a key-locked cupboard to store your valuables. The hostel is in a fantastic central location, just five minutes walk to the big square! Even though the hostel itself was pretty quiet there is a jazz bar next door, which did mean that sometimes it was loud late at night - but I just used ear plugs and it didnt disturb me too much. Also, while I was staying they were having some building work done which was noisy during the day, however I was out and about most of the time so it didn't cause me any problems. Overall I would recommend Amour D'Auberge and would stay here again in future :-)

Staying at La Claire Fontaine during Eid al-Adha was a fantastic experience, especially with most places closed. The Riad's design is a perfect blend of modern comfort and exotic Moroccan charm, noticeable in every corner, piece of furniture, and the overall ambiance. Our room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, and the furniture and decorations were truly exquisite. The toiletries provided were also of very good quality. The WiFi quality was good through out the Riad. The patio was refreshing and charming, providing a lovely spot to enjoy a drink or the delicious breakfast served each morning. As an espresso fan, I was delighted with the in-room espresso maker and the quality of espresso prepared for us during breakfast. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, offering a relaxing space between walks and a delightful dinner prepared especially for us by the Riad team. Our stay at La Claire Fontaine was memorable not just for the comfort and atmosphere, but because we felt genuinely at home. Special thanks to Smail, Soulaimane, and Younes for their exceptional care and hospitality. You made our stay unforgettable! 2 important tips: - Ignore people on the streets who claim your Google Maps is wrong, or the street is closed, and offer to guide you another way or show you an exhibition. These individuals will ask for money, and the streets are not actually closed, nor are there exhibitions—just shops. Engaging with them will waste your time and cause frustration. - When you go back to the airport, plan for three hours, especially if you fly Ryanair. They stamp boarding passes at the check-in desks, even if you only have carry-on luggage. There are huge queues at the check-in desks (Ryanair staff can be quite rude and slow, and regardless of your luggage size, they might force you to pay an extra fee; we witnessed many disputes and scandals during our 1.5-hour wait in this queue) and at passport control you need about an hour.

One of the best place to stay in medina. Nice and stylish, clean rooms, simple breakfast. Location also good enough, because its not that far to walk by medina from taxi (another riads can be so far and it's not comfortable to find it, especially when you have a lot of clothes). One more thing - they are really equipped with everything you need in rooms - fridge, smart-TV, hairdryer, even in single rooms. Not every riad can have it, especially with this price. Friendly and very helpful staff. Especially grateful to Hassan, he helped me with my one thousand questions 😅 So, I can recommend this place. I stayed in few riads in different points of medina, and it was most comfortable place.

We stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. The hotel is located in the center of the city. It is convenient to travel and the surrounding facilities are complete, but when I checked in, a very strange thing happened. The hotel gave me a room on the third floor. When I reached the third floor by elevator, I found the third floor Many rooms are being renovated, and workers come and go in a messy feeling. I thought maybe only a few rooms were being remodeled and didn’t care. When I continued to go to my own room, I found that there was still a section that was using a percussion drill to hit the ground. The sound was loud and dusty, and I immediately turned back to the front desk of the hotel to ask for another room. The quiet environment, the hotel hesitated and gave me a room on the fourth floor, but when I entered the room after arriving on the fourth floor, the sound of the impact drill was still loud , There was no way to rest comfortably, so I had no choice but to contact Ctrip's customer service. In the end, the customer service communicated with the hotel and changed me to a room on the fifth floor on the other side. It was very quiet and gave me an unexpected compensation voucher , Thanks to Ctrip's customer service! I mainly want to make complaints about writing this review. As a five-star international chain hotel, the hotel is undergoing renovations during the period of receiving guests, and the guests are arranged in rooms on the decoration floor, which is simply unbelievable!

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

An understated hotel. Nothing fancy about the room. We’ll remember the view though and it will thrill us forever. But, we sat on the small balcony and took in the pink colours of Marrakesh, evening and morning. Wow!

We got a great deal during Ramadan. Location is Agdal, leafy suburbs with good shops, calm and quiet and close to the city centre, ten minutes drive. It's a classic hotel with two huge pools and great slides for kids. Breakfast was plentiful. Recommend.
