Best Hotels near Musée du Parfum, Marrakech

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

The best youth hostel in Morocco, in the old wheat field, the car can not drive, 10 minutes walk from the Palace Square, very new, clean and beautiful, mattresses and quilts are very soft and comfortable, there are toilets in the 8-person room Bathroom, bar on the first floor and top floor, breakfast plus 40 dirhams, bread and egg ham, coffee machine, large basin of strawberries with yogurt, great value

The property is as it is represented. Beautiful colors and architecture and is pristine. The staff is more impressive, which in my book is far more important. The check-in process was a little frustrating because I was cranky. The man who checked me in was unendingly patient, welcoming, friendly, and professional. He made sure I understood everything about the property and security. Quite a feat, as he speaks Arabic and French and and I do not. He gave me a tour of everything. The process for meals is lovely. This is a bed and breakfast, so an elaborate tasty breakfast is available until 1000. To eat breakfast, you let the chef know by 1600. He goes to the central market to purchase what's fresh. My dinner was delicious. The aroma wafted up to my room and brought me down to the dining area a little early. The wait staff is first rate, had perfect English, and was delightful. Know that it's a 2-3 block walk from parking areas to the property. It's an easy stroke, but something to know.

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

The location is right by the sea, the scenery is very good, the downstairs is the beach. The end of the hotel can see the endless Atlantic! The room is not facing the sea (maybe there are very few, the estimated price is very high), but the balcony of every room can see the sea! The room is very large, clean and comfortable, and the internet is very good. The room has a kitchen, the tableware is also in line, you can make your own instant noodles. Moroccan things are not very appetizing, or noodles! Especially if you have been in Morocco for a few days, you are tired of eating Taji pot and other foods. At this time, a bowl of instant noodles can make you burst into tears! When it comes to buying instant noodles, you have to mention that the Wanda's commercial center (one-twentieth of Wanda's) is next to the hotel. This is one of the few super-comprehensive markets in Casablanca. This is a wealthy area. Carrefour in the mall, everything! There are also fast food such as KFC and McDonald's in the mall. This place is not far from the Hassan II Mosque, just take a taxi! You are a tourist, the driver does not give you a watch, you can price! I stayed at this riad over half-term with two children (9 & 16)and we had a very happy time. We were originally supposed to be staying at Darikalimo but were given the option of a nicer room in this brighter, more spacious Riad just next door… the location is very good as it’s a short walk to the souks and all the attractions of the Medina are nearby. We ate breakfast on the roof each day, which was a variation of local bread, butter and jam/honey and on various days we had cake, eggy bread and homemade pancakes. Plus tea/coffee and delicious fresh orange juice. My son was given fresh milk and bananas each day on my request and no charge was ever sought. The riad staff were all happy, generous with their time and helpful in the extreme, whether it was with directions, making restaurant reservations or personally taking me to the nearby laundrette and an interiors shop that wasn’t marked on any map. The decor is fresh and airy. Our beds were made daily and decorated with flower petals. My only negative is that it could be a bit noisy in the night but it didn’t bother us. If you are noise sensitive, you may wish to consider if riad living is a good idea for you. WiFi is patchy but if you need fast speeds for downloads, you can almost always find it in nearby restaurants/bars.
