Riad Beata

Marrakech|0.15km from Royal Palace
Let’s start from the beginning…. Myself and my son arrived at the Riad in the evening . We were followed by someone who spoke about knowing where the Riad was . We DID NOT ask him for directions . Once we arrived at the property the manager let us in. The man was demanding money from us for showing us to the property . I explained several times I did not ask for directions and would not be giving him any money . The manager stood with the door open and even allowed him to step in . Why wouldn’t you tell him to leave and shut the door instead of allowing him to try and intimate us ? Luckily I’m not easily intimidated but it’s not the point it wasn’t a nice start to our holiday . Once we arrived in the room it looked completely different to the pictures extremely small for 2 adults . Nevertheless we left our luggage and left out to explore for an hour . Once back I sat on the bed and noticed how hard it was . (Single beds were requested due to sharing with my 21 year old son). The next morning I had pain down my left side due to the bed being so hard so went to speak to the manager . This went on for a few days back and forth , asking for extra duvets to sleep on . I was then told there was nothing that could be done . As I was still unhappy I was told to contact *********** . I could tell the manager wasn’t particularly bothered or interested. I then asked to speak with the owner (the managers wife ) and was told she was away in the USA. I managed to get her number and sent 2 messages . Both messages were ignored . Over a period of 5 days I spoke with the manager face to face and on WhatsApp numerous times . Why as a manager you are communicating on WhatsApp is beyond me. Laziness and lack of interest ( you live within with Riad) Quick to ask for the tax on the first day though. I don’t think it’s fair I paid almost £600 to be treated like that . You ruined our first experience of Marrakesh. It’s not good enough to say ‘what should I do about it ‘ and ‘sorry’ I should have been refunded for the days left after my complaint so I could go and stay somewhere with a reasonable bed . I even explained I’d donated a kidney last year so needed a comfortable bed . This is not too much to ask it’s basic . Didn’t want to refund any money at all…GREEDY. Not sure why you some platforms you’ve advised a rooftop pool ? It’s a small terrace area with your personal laundry room . Over the wall is a building of rubble where rubbish is burnt and a graveyard so not a nice view at all . Also can I address the breakfast as it looks nothing like the picture . It consist of 2 flat pastries , a small orange juice , an over sweet Moroccan tea , a small jam & marmalade and a huge basked of bread . This is the same every day . The bathroom Was not upto a good hygiene standard (see pics) I informed the manager the hot water had gone cold . This went on for 2 days with an ‘engineer ‘ who had no idea what he was doing banging for 2 days throughout the day and night causing the

The hotel is beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan furnishings and artwork, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location is also great located in the medina, as it is within walking distance of many of the city's main attractions. The rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of the city and the pool is the perfect spot to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Jibril during our visit to Marrakech, and what a delightful experience it was! Our host, Iheb, truly deserves the title of a legend. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, he made our stay memorable. Whilr it may not be a 5-star hotel, it provided a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that exceeded our expectations. The riad itself, with its traditional architecture, was clean and inviting. The highlight was undoubtedly the serene terrace, a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. One evening, we indulged in sheesha on the terrace, a delightful experience that only cost us around 70 MAD. We also had the pleasure of dining on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious tagines at a very reasonable price of 60 MAD each. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive. The breakfast served each morning was traditional and homely too! What made our stay truly special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Iheb and the staff. We arrived as guests but left feeling like friends. We were even befriended by the two adorable resident kittens, Sofia, the long-haired tabby, and Leena, the ginger kitten. Their presence added an extra touch of charm to our stay. The location of Riad Jibril was perfect, and the camel in front of the money exchange served as an excellent landmark. The riad was on the opposite alleyway, second door, making it easy to find. We especially enjoyed its proximity to Kasbah, near Zeitun Cafe, a favorite spot of ours to visit at night. The lantern-lit terrace at the cafe provided majestic views that made our evenings even more memorable.

We could not have started our trip in Morocco at a better place. The whole experience was 10/10. Nothing more need be said. Souheil and all his staff were world class. Top notch. Will return as soon as time permits. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Suitable for family outings, friends travel. There are many kinds of breakfast, there are three types of jam, two kinds of bread, and ordinary bread, a kind of cake here. There are milk, mint tea, coffee. Here is a new one, the boss is very dedicated, the front of the house is also very dedicated, I wish business is booming!

Sidi Mimoun
The domestic media called it an internet celebrity shop, but it actually overestimated this homestay hotel. I was very happy to book this hotel, which was said to be difficult to book. When I went, the tour guide said that the shop is very small. On the day of check-in, in the deep alleys of the store, the car can only park at the far end of the alley, dragging luggage on the gravel road for about 5 or 6 minutes. The hotel is divided into 2 rooms with 2 independent doors to enter and exit. We booked 3 rooms and divided them into 2 houses. The room was really small, the two suitcases couldn't be opened. As a result, the hotel upgraded the room and made up the cash. The wash basin in the other room was leaking again, and no one repaired it at night. The design and decoration of the corridors, stairs, restaurants, etc. in the hotel are still somewhat styled, and those who can take pictures should be able to take good-looking photos. The classic pool for taking pictures is actually very small, and the room with the pool is full of the smell of the pool, and the rooms here are generally humid.
