Price is quite reasonable with quality breakfast and facilities. Location is very good. Near to city centre. Parking fee is not bad. But the hotel is very busy. No bath and hand wash gel for both of my two rooms, even I went to the reception to request, they marked the problem but finally ignored which made me a bit disappointed.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Alex hotel. Conveniently located near the train and bus station. Our room (702), was large and clean, with newer furniture, carpet, and all the amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English which was so helpful for us and our limited French. Great experience. The only draw-back was the neighborhood, which was more impoverished. The Alex hotel, courtyard and lounge were such a joy and reprieve for us after our long days touring around M****ille. We intentionally chose the Alex hotel over the Port area hotels, due to the peace and quiet, and it was well worth it.

Value for money was great. The room was very clean and kitchenette was complete. But the refrigerator wasn’t working at all…so we couldn’t keep anything cold. Air-conditioning was very effective and quiet. Location was not great, but good — it was super near Gare Saint-Charles, but around a 10-15min walk to the Old Port. Nevertheless, I would recommend this aparthotel.

Close to the hotel you’ll find the must-see attractions such as the picturesque old port, the city’s old town and the famous MUCEM museum. If you would like to go shopping, Rue de la République, with its Haussmann-style buildings, is one of the city’s best shopping streets. Alternatively, you can head to one of the nearby shopping centes: "Lles Terrasses du Port" or "Docks Village". The neighborhood is also well connected to both the city and the airport, with a number of transport options including motorways, trains and local metro and tram lines available.

InterContinental Marseille-Hôtel Dieu is a luxury hotel located in Marseille’s historic Panier district. Overlooking the Vieux Port, our hotel’s massive staircases and magnificent terraces bear witness to the former statues of the building, an 18th century structure inaugurated by Napoleon III. Relax on the terrace with views of Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, dine at Michelin-starred restaurant, Alcyone. Rejuvenate with a swim at the indoor pool or a treatment at the chic SPA by Clarins.

The InterContinental M****ille is undoubtedly the best luxury hotel in M****ille. Housed in a converted historical hospital, it offers a unique and charming ambiance. The breakfast served at the Terrace boasts breathtaking views and includes delicious freshly made waffles and refreshing orange juice. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the beds are luxuriously comfortable. However, upon our late arrival at 11pm, we were disappointed to find only cold sandwiches available for room service.

Went for a long weekend to see the city and it’s history, really enjoyed our time, 3 days was plenty to see everything. The hotel was in a fantastic location, right near the Metro. Everyone was friendly in the hotel, and spoke English very well which was useful as our French isn’t great. Couldn’t have asked for anything more, also the deposit was paid back straight away on the same day in full. Highly recommend.
Enjoy the south of France by stopping off in our 3-star Hotel Kyriad Résidence Cabries – Plan de Campagne. Ideally located at the midway point between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, the hotel welcomes you all year round, at the heart of the pine forests of Provence. Fully air-conditioned, it is equipped with a free private parking lot and a sauna.
GGuest User2023.01.31
Fairly well-equipped studios, family swimming pool, correct set... but it depends on the rooms... so beware! Especially since we take a deposit of 300 euros (even if you only stay one night) WITHOUT an incoming or outgoing inventory. Declare therefore upon your arrival any imperfection at the reception so that you can recover your deposit. We also don't like the group of cleaning staff who, in the morning, carry on a conversation, chatter in the corridors and clutter them. The cleaning trolleys we accept of course, but when you see the cleanliness of certain rooms, you understand that it was more interesting to chat than to pass the broom.

Sonia Jebsen

Outstanding
BBINIt is within walking distance of all major attractions and is fully equipped and convenient. have to be aware of is: 1. The location marked in the room and the check-in are not the same location, but on the back of Rue Vacon Street. See the drawing, I hope that the next time Ctrip can make a note, although it is the listing of booking. 2. We live on the second floor, 2nd floor, actually the third floor. If there is no elevator, the weight of the baggage needs to be considered. 3. Regarding parking, there is one next to the hotel, which is very convenient. The guide is 15 Euros a night. This depends on the specific time period. From the drawing, everyone can understand the parking rate. We stopped for about 22 hours on the first day, and paid the top 31.7 euros. The next day is 9:00 in the morning. Leave and pay about 22 euros. 4. Regarding the pre-authorization deduction, they usually return at 4 pm on the day of departure, plus the bank's operating time, it may take 2-3 days to arrive. We are showing pictures of the check-out, I hope to return immediately. The staff asked if the room had extra consumption and immediately retired.
GGuest UserReally nice! I loved how you can have your own space by closing the curtain. The beds didn't make any noise or movements when you climb into the upper bed. Maybe a small improvement: sign for where the reception/checkin is or some arrows. Overall had a nice stay, very cozy place and clean and good working services
AAlbert5433This was a lovely hotel to stay at. I booked a room with a large terrace overlooking the port and the view was fantastic. I could have sat all day watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. The room was spacious and well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful even as I practiced my French on them. The breakfast was quite special. It is served in a beautiful , light-filled room, again, with views of the port. You could sit inside or outside and the weather was beautiful while I was there in early June. The breakfast had many many choices, breads of all kinds, hot choices (such as bacon, eggs, sausages, petite potatoes, vegetables), cold cuts, many cheeses, several dessert options also. Really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I had stayed longer.
LlvxingzheccyThe hotel has many breakfast options, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathrooms are large and clean. The supporting facilities are complete and the hotel service is very good. Great for family, family vacation, outdoor swimming pool. The terrace on the third floor of the hotel is beautiful and has a special access to the sea. The surrounding attractions are also very close.
GGuest UserDespite other reviews, I have to note that staff was helpful (even in English, as I don't speak French). The apartment was spacious and has everything you might need for a short stay. It's located across the train station, however for a newcomer it's not that easy to reach it, you need to walk at least 10 minutes (if you're lucky and don't take a wrong turn). The apartment seemed clean at first sight, however there was dust in many places and the air-condition had a cigarette odor. Cleanliness is not the hotel's strong suit, as they tell you than they only clean the room after a week's stay (if you manage to stay there that long), they give you clean towels at an extra cost and they expect you to take down the garbage yourself (!). Combine this with the area's (next to the train station) lack of cleanliness and you get the picture. The bed was terrible, I had asked for a double bed and they stuck two single beds together.....Pillows were too soft. Breakfast was mediocre, with very few and low quality choices, the breakfast room was too small. In conclusion, the price I paid was way too much for what it had to offer. Hopefully, I only had to stay there for one night.
GGuest UserOur stay at Hotel Mercure in M****ille was nothing short of excellent, highlighted by the remarkable service provided by their exceptional team. The star of my experience, without a doubt, was Ben, the receptionist. His assistance during the check-in process was seamless, efficient, and truly welcoming, setting a high standard for the remainder of my stay. Navigating M****ille's busy streets was initially challenging, but locating the hotel's carpark became incredibly simple thanks to Ben's comprehensive directions and friendly assistance. His exceptional professionalism, combined with his warm personality, added a special touch to our visit. I highly recommend this hotel for its top-tier service, superior accommodations, and outstanding staff.
GGuest UserThe merit of this hotel is obviously its location near the old port. It is indeed ideal. As a low budge hotel, one can't expect luxury, but this hotel is lacking essentials - they claim that they exchange towels less frequently for ”saving nature” (believe it if you like), but there is a single hanger where one could hang a towel to dry. For some reason - economy, prevention of blockage? - the toilet paper is not a roll like any other place I've ever visited but meted as single sheets. It doesn't work, however, because the flushing of the toilet is so poor that the result can be revolting at times. It took an actual blockage to convince the plumber there is indeed a problem. His unhappiness of having no choice but to attend to this task was loud and clear. The guest's presence made no difference to him. Last but not least, the walls do not provide sound isolation. If the next-door neighbors talk loudly, one hears them, whether one wants to or not.
MMaosenThe staff at the front desk of the hotel are very friendly, and the check-in and check-out speed is also very fast. The location is good, and it is less than ten minutes' walk from the subway station in the picture. The room is also very clean, suitable in size and has a private bathroom. The best thing is that there is an open kitchen in the room, and the tableware is also very complete.
Hotel very well located right next to the Perrier metro exit and 10 minutes walk from the Orange Vélodrome stadium. Several restaurants are nearby. The welcome was perfect, the hotel is clean and quiet. We will come back during our next match or weekend in Marseille.
GGuest UserRecently stayed here at 50Euro per night, The hotel is located a stone's throw away from Vieux-Port in a side street, hence giving you access to town centre, the metro. With a tiny and almost hidden entrance the hotel, its easy to miss. From the rooms you can hear the hustle and bustle even at night however I like this kind of sound and slept with the windows open. The staff were absolutely fantastic (thanks to the 2 gentlemen and 1 lady) and was manned 24 hours per day. The rooms itself are small and quite basic, and not suited to families, but for single or couples looking for a place to stay. You would consider this a budget hotel without any luxuries at 50 Euro at night, id say its fair value. Thanks for the great stay, staff and location made it great
