Mirador Maspalomas by Dunas

First of all, We traveled as a family of eight over 3 Generations. Given, this is a three star Hotel, this Hotel exceeded almost all our expectations. Overall Facilities: The whole hotel is pretty clean and the cleaning Crew is very busy and doing a great Job. Hardly, you'll find it unclean. Only thing: The dining Hall is very Loud. Rooms: As we traveled eight, over three generations and 3 "Families" we had 3 rooms. All very spacious and spotless, props to Housekeeping. the facilities are basic but all in good order. The only thing I don't like is when the tuck the sheets under the mattress and you have to pull it out, pulling the lining of the mattress as well. Pools: The Pool(s) are there. Very Cold for travelling in January though. Also there is hardly any sunlight, as the Pools are in the middle of the whole Area and the Hotel is built around them. The lower Pool is heated a bit, but still felt rather cold. During open hours there is always a lifeguard on site. The Kids Pool is far away from anything and rather Cold, we didn't use it with our Kids. Entertainment: The Entertainment is something we weren't satisfied with. Even though the Team was good, the entertainment programm for the Kids was rather bad. Compared to other Hotels in the same category we were pretty disappointed. Even the Minidisco in the evenings was very simply held and no show. It wasn't a memorable experience for the kids, where my daughter is always reminiscing of other hotels she was enjoying her time here, but not really remembering it. Now the really tricky part: After the Minidisco, there is at least one show and it lasts beyond 2200 hours (or past 10PM), It is entertaining to some point but that is pretty much it. Depending on the show and who is presenting it might be quiter or not. There is one Guy, he needs to stay away from the Microphone, as he is always screaming into it. Also the sound is mixed really bad. Worst thing about this is, that Most of the Rooms face either the inyard or the streets. Entertainment happens on the inyard. That means if you have an inyard room and little children, they won't be sleeping before 10PM. We asked management to see about the noise and the mixing and it got better, but you cant make it go away. Also sitting on the Balcony, in our case a nice view over the inyard and towards the Entertainment, made it rather hard to have a decent conversation without yelling. Food: The food on Holidays is something of utmost importance for me, So I am looking at this rather critically: - Breakfast was a solid choice for eveyday with everything you can ask for. - Lunch, we only had one day at the hotel but that was a good choice of different foods - Dinner was changing up every night with different specialities from different countries. Not that I would have needed it, but it was a nice mix and always with local specialities too. The Buffet is huge and you'll find something, always! Price appropriate, staff 5* , drinks , food u can't not find something all freshly cooked as well . Rooms as I said price appropriate all round good holiday . Area aldi next door , few shops around corner DO NOT if avoidable use the pharmacy next door it's ridiculous on price

Dunas mirador Andrew was a lovely staff member along with all the others, the hotel was well kept and very clean. The staff are very helpful, entertainment is great and also the the excursions are fantastic, many things around of convenience. Keep Andre forever

The animation staff were so nice and welcoming. The cocktail making with the staff were so good. Rooms were very clean. Julio (from animation team) made the activities even more fun and got everyone involved. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The best entertainment, Andrew and hulio are the best, brilliant. Great amazing sparkling clean, we've had the best holiday, amazing everything. Tye food is amazing, if u can't find anything to eat, you shouldn't be eating 😋 I love this hotel and I will be back xx
