Our stay was the final stop of our honeymoon and was the absolute best way to end it! The staff is incredible, the complementary breakfast is delicious and the amenities are clean. Transportation to Sorrento is very easy, with the bus stop (€2) is just down the street. If you decide to stay in Massa Lubrense for the evening, you *must* try the restaurant that is associated with the property - il Cantuccio. Amazing sunset views, food & wine! Cannot recommend this stay enough, wish we never had to leave.

Hotel is a wonderful facility in Massa Lubrense. The staff provided exemplary service and the associated restaurant food was excellent. Massa Lubrense is a quick bus ride to Sorrento and the train station for travel opportunities. There are also private guides (I would recommend Tony) and day trips that can be booked through the hotel. The town is a quiet and less busy alternative to Sorrento and the hotel is highly recommended.

When we arrived we couldn't find the entrance, it lacked the sign we saw on Google Street View, and there was no obvious entrance or reception. Went to the restaurant to meet the owner and get the key for the room. The minus: At the time of our stay, the hotel was being renovated. There was no mention of this. There was a lot of doors/windows/building stuff placed in the entrance hall, which was right outside our room. Outside the hotel had a portable room/wc for the workers. The entrance hall was always completely dark because of (what I assume) was a timer for the lights, but on day two or three we found a light switch on the wall so we could see where our door was after dark. This was quite shabby, but when inside the room is was ok, although work outside and in the entrance hall began early almost every morning. There was no information sheet on the desk inside our room. The room: We had the cheapest room, without balcony and facing the busy main street in Massa Lubrense. The room size was big, bathroom also. The shower is what drags down the standard of the room, small and quite old with scrappy doors for the shower cabinet. Aircondition was working nicely. Small fridge with freezer included. Cleaning and new sheets/towels every day, but no "do not disturb" sign to hang outside the door, so a couple of days we had the door unlocked by the lady before she realised we were still there. The plus: The restaurant has very good food. It seems like it's well known in the area, as there were a lot of locals (Italians) dining every night. Almost at full capacity every night. Some nights maybe over capacity, as we had to wait quite long after being seated before being asked for drinks or food. But the quality of the food makes you forget it when it finally arrives. Not at all a cheap restaurant, so maybe don't expect to eat there every day. A bit weird to have to pay cover charge everyday in the restaurant of the hotel you're staying at, but maybe that's normal. We ate breakfast every morning, which was included. The standard breakfast was omelett with sliced tomatos, bread and fruits. Some days we asked for a different breakfast, and all in all it was good. A good tips for someone staying here or in the area is to use the water dispenser in the park, next to the bar Lady's Bar. This water is ice cold and it's so cheap it's almost free.
