It was a weekday stay in the middle of GW. About a week ago, I decided to stay by looking at the vacancy situation. I thought it was almost full at the time of check-in. The parking lot was for people who were not planning to go out near the front, and those who were planning to go out were guided to the back. Check-in was made from the terminal on the first floor of the annex, and the room was in the main building. The hot spring is an annex and once you go down to the first floor and have a roof, but you had to walk a little outside and go up again. The plan with breakfast was the correct answer. The window seat of the restaurant was a good hotel with a view of Lake Shinji.

One of the best decisions we made during our recent trip to Japan was staying at the Ohashikan. We stayed in a standard room overlooking the Ohashi River. The room was large and quiet. The futon beds were placed on top of foam mattresses and were very comfortable. The wifi was very good. The staff, especially James, were friendly and very helpful. Ohashikan has an excellent location. It is a ten minute or so walk to the Matsue Castle and the Castle area which includes Lafcadio Hearn’s Residence and Museum, and a longer walk in the other direction to the center of town and the railroad station. On the first night we dined at the hotel’s restaurant. The Japanese food was wonderful. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel go to the restaurant and enjoy the food at Shosuitei. We opted for the western breakfast which was also excellent, The hotel recently started a bar and grill, The Willows, on the 2nd floor with a long bar overlooking the river with James as the bartender/host. He offers specialty cocktails and superb Japanese whiskies. Its hours were Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 pm when we stayed at the hotel. In addition to the local sites, if you have time, take a day trip by train to the Adachi Museum of Art in Yasugi with its garden. When you exit the Yasugi train station there is a free shuttle bus that takes you to the museum. If you travel to Matsue a stay at the Ohashikan is highly recommended. It will help make you visit a very special experience.

The room is old, but the cospa is good considering that there is a hot spring including breakfast. You can barely see Lake Shinji from the room. The location is also within walking distance of both Matsue Castle and Lake Shinji. The parking lot is free and they will send you to the station in the morning. The only elderly male staff at the front desk is unfriendly and does not reply easily. Well, it's a hotel of this level, so it can't be helped if you think of it as a clerical staff, but it's a pity that other staff are doing their best. I think it's good just to sleep for sightseeing and business.

The Wi-Fi speed was fast and a large air cleaner was installed in the room. The futon was caught in the middle of the day and was comfortable. The futon, room, bath, and all were kept clean and cozy. The open-air bath had a key locker, with various makeup water and emulsions. The dryer was very powerful and the floor was clean. The open-air bath was a bit small, but it was very nice. The hot springs warmed up and the skin was very moist. Breakfast buffet is the best. I went at ７, but I was able to spend it slowly. ８ It was crowded before, so it might be better to come before that. There is no convenience store near the hotel. The shop in the hotel is not so good, but the matcha ice cream here was very delicious. I want to eat again. The price is a bit high, but I was able to spend a good time. I think I received a service that was suitable for the price.

Stayed in the Cloud room with a private onsen in the balcony facing an awesome view of the lake. Room was clean and spacious with a generous supply of amenities. Visited the public bath as well but was nothing impressive. Beer and yakult was provided free of charge in the hotel lobby. Note that if you are traveling with young children, they change an extra ¥2500 per child just for them to be in the room, no extra beds provided and breakfast is a separate charge. Breakfast served was exquisite and in a private dining room which we appreciate. Overall nice experience but just one night is enough as the town is very quiet and the room price is very steep.

I was surprised by the number of doors from the elevator to my room. This room on the 1 floor of the hotel where the appearance is not big? When I entered the twin room, I felt like I had a single bed and put two beds, and there was a small space. The bus ＆ toilet is narrow and sits in the toilet seat, and the shoulder and arm seem to be on the door, and there is a feeling of pressure. Don't ask for relaxation in twin, and if you return to the room, ”good night” is the best. The bed felt the head part sinking from the leg (the next morning, I found it clearly when I fell in the opposite direction), and I couldn't sleep well. The hot spring was wet, but the body was very good even after a while. It was a good spring quality. If you enjoy the hot springs and divide it into bed rooms, the cospa is very good.

I stayed for 2 nights on my first Shimane trip. When I arrived at the station of Matsue Shinjiko Onsen, the appearance of this inn that can be seen far from the station is a little old. The hotel swan and the hotel ichibata in front are too new, honestly, a little disappointed. However, all the staff are very kind and friendly, and the room I stayed at this time is a room with an open-air bath that has just been renovated. Also, there is a kind of side dish of color 々 that I can't eat. I can't eat dessert fruit! Then, please say that it is okay to bring it to your room and eat it. The large communal bath was large and very comfortable. The distance from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station was also 7 minutes walk somewhere, but it is convenient to take 5 minutes on foot.
