Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsue-ekimae ★★★★
Toyoko Inn Matsue Ekimae ★★★
"It's a short walk from Matsue Station. The location is good. There is a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel. The breakfast was buffet style, but it was neither good nor bad. The only thing that tasted decent was the corn soup. I stayed at Matsue Terrsa to go to a concert. The bed springs were too hard for me, though."
Hotel Ichibata ★★★★
"Very modern hotel with a nice and good-sized room. There is parking by the hotel and facing the bay. Will definitely stay there again."
Matsue New Urban Hotel ★★★
"Excellent hotel. Really helpful staff and good, clean rooms. The onsen is great and there’s a free shuttle service to the station. I really enjoyed Matsue and the surrounding areas. The castle is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in Japan. The view at sunset from across the lake was something I’ll never forget. Thank you."
Ryokan Yukeikohan Suitenkaku ★★★
"The room seemed to have been renovated and was very clean. The building is not new, but it is kept very clean. The staff were also very kind. I booked a lake view room, but it was a bit disappointing that there was a parking lot right in front of it."
Matsue Universal Hotel ★★★
"Very good value. Double room is spacious for two people. Bathroom is also spacious. Room, lobby, and public bath are clean. Very close to the Matsue station (less than ten minutes walking). Convenient and would return again. It wasn't super cheap when we booked, but it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for."
Matsue Excel Hotel Tokyu ★★★
"Great location, convenient and clean."
Matsue Urban Hotel ★★★
"The hotel is in a very convenient location. There is a lounge downstairs where you can read comics. There are no cheap options during the red leaf season weekend. The room is really small, but it is not bad as a temporary place to stay."
HOTEL ROUTE-INN HIGASHI MATSUE ★★★
"I stayed because of my work, but the location was good and the room was clean and nice. There was also a large communal bath and I enjoyed the buffet for breakfast."

International Hotel Tamatsukuri
"The hotel itself is old, but the location and hot springs were good. The room was spacious, but there were spider webs on the window glass and the putty on the air conditioner pipes was blackened, probably from mold or dirt, so it was a no-no. Dinner was good, but the chawanmushi was set out at the beginning and was lukewarm. It's common practice to serve rice, soup, and chawanmushi later. At breakfast, the rice and miso soup were lukewarm and the contents were disappointing. I recommend staying overnight."
Business Hotel Route9
"Thank you for your help on the last day of this Shimane trip. It was hot all day, but the air conditioner was very effective and I could sleep well."
Tennenonsen Dandannoyu Onyadononomatsue
"Expansive hotel. Breakfast is nice but crowded. Nice ice cream sticks and drinks. Hot Spring is great and clean."
Tamatsukuri Grand Hotel Choseikaku
"The inside of the building was very clean and the bath was amazing. The polite service made me feel luxurious."
Ohashikan
"Great view good breakfeast"
Matsue Urban Hotel CubicRoom
"The location is super good, the internal facilities are very complete, basically everything you need is available, and there are also many free skin care products, sunscreen tea bags, facial masks, etc."
Kasuien Minami
"We stayed here to eat live crab. We splurged on the meal, so we opted for a standard room. We didn't have high expectations for the room, but it was a very nice room with two rooms. There is a beautiful and impressive Japanese garden. The staff were very cheerful and friendly. We were told we would each have two crabs, but by the end we were sick of them. The crab rice was delicious, but we were disappointed when they said that the second helping would be plain white rice. Overall it was a good inn."
Hotel Gyokusen
"We had a very nice stay for a reasonable price. Although it was an older hotel, we could see the effort put into keeping it clean. The breakfast was also delicious."
Izumo Tamatsukurionsen Shiraishiya
"This was our first trip to the San'in region as a couple, and we decided to stay at this hotel based on word of mouth. I was able to experience the hospitality and concern of all the staff, from welcoming me on arrival to room guidance, meals, evening events, and seeing off on departure, and I was able to spend the best days. In particular, I was very happy that a message card from the new graduate staff who was in charge of serving the dinner was quietly placed on the dashboard of the car. If I have the opportunity to travel to the area again next time, I would like to use the Shiraishi family again."
Naniwa Issui
"The view of the Lake is just spectacular. The service was so great. It is just a 4-minutes-long taxi journey from the JR station. The rooms and the onsen are also nice."
Tamai Bekkan
"There are free yukatas to choose from, the staff are very polite, and dinner and breakfast are decent."
Notsu Ryokan
"The location is good, about 7 minutes away from Songjiang Station. The most important thing is that the service attitude is very good. The waiter introduced the room facilities one by one and confirmed the breakfast and dinner time very carefully. The breakfast was Japanese style and the dinner was very delicious. It was a typical Japanese meal with ten courses and the dishes were arranged very attentively. It was raining heavily when we checked out, and the owner (the two elderly people's home) enthusiastically helped us call a taxi to take us to Songjiang Station. Finally, I was so moved when he stood at the door and watched us leave!"
Guest House Daisho Oshiro Asobi
"Perfect location and very warm welcome from the owners, can't recommend enough"
